This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 4th day of August, 1941, in accordance with request made by the father - Mr. [2841], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading 11:10 to 11:25 A. M. Eastern Standard Time.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, [2084]; this we have had before.

3. Some uneasiness is evinced because of those disturbances in the caecum area.

4. If there is brought about any temperature, we find that operative measures would be required.

5. However, this need NOT come about IF there are precautionary measures taken not to inflame the area but to remove the tendencies of lack of proper eliminations through this area.

6. There is as much disturbance in the right ovary as there is in the appendix area itself.

7. This of itself indicates an inflammation, then, rather than the nature of the appendix being the greater disturbance; though this might become localized unless there are measures to remove same.

8. In the present, then:

9. We would massage this area gently with Peanut Oil, all the body will absorb, - across the lower portion of the right side of the abdomen, and over the caecum area especially. Then apply over same a flannel saturated with the Peanut Oil, over which would be applied an oil skin cloth or an oil cloth, and over that apply several thicknesses of heavy towels wrung out in ice water - though not using an ice pack - rather the towels wrung out in the ice water.

10. Take small quantities of Olive Oil internally, at least every two hours half a teaspoonful, until there is a full evacuation or elimination.

11. These as we find should reduce and bring about better conditions.

12. Should there be temperature, best to have the surgeon specializing in such conditions.

13. Ready for questions.

14. (Q) What caused the conditions in the right ovary and caecum area? (A) As indicated, inflammation from unbalanced condition in the glandular forces of the system. These should be materially aided by the absorption and the elimination of those tendencies for inflammation there.

Dear Mr. Cayce:

I enclose my check for [2084]‘s reading a few days ago. She was in such pain and feeling so terribly bad that it alarmed us greatly. We have followed instructions minutely and I’m very thankful to be able to say she is VERY much better and I believe well on the way of coming out of it entirely. Mr. Cayce I can never be thankful enough for having been introduced to you and for what your work has done to help us. I’ll let you know how [2084] comes along.
