-
GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time with suggestions for further corrective measures answering the questions as I ask them.
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here; this we have had before.
-
As has been indicated for the body these have been aided by the hydro-therapy and the osteopathic treatments suggested. But, allowing these poisons to accumulate again makes rather a harder condition to control. These treatments should be kept periodically until there has been the ability of the osteopath to drain the gall-duct area.
-
With this draining we find that the general toxic forces would be much more easily eliminated. The disturbance in the area of the gall-duct would be aided if better eliminations could be established.
-
There has been the tendency for the prolapsus in the descending, or transverse and descending, colon and this makes for plethora in the ascending and portions of the transverse colon for the body, and this gives rise to that fullness at times through the abdomen.
-
If it will be repeated those treatments suggested for this body we would find much bettered conditions.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) What causes and what should be done for the following: Slight buzz in ears, and a slight contraction (according to osteopath)? (A) These naturally arise from those pressures in the sympathetic and the cerebro-spinal system that cause tensions in the centers that control the sympathetic nervous system. These relaxing treatments and the general osteopathic relaxations should eliminate this by the first or second treatment at least.
-
(Q) Is there anything wrong with her liver or pancreas, which causes bitter taste in the mouth? (A) It’s rather in the gall-duct. The tendencies for the pancreas to be involved is from the tendencies for the body to revert to too much of fats before the system has really adjusted itself.
-
(Q) Are my kidneys in healthy condition? (A) Naturally the lack of activity, or the lack of normal functionings throws greater stress on the kidneys. A sympathetic condition and functional but not organic as we find.
Thus, plenty of water at all times. While this will flush the kidneys, it will keep down toxic conditions in same.
- (Q) What is the condition of my intestines? (A) As indicated, there is a tendency for a dilation or plethoric condition in the caecum or the ascending and a portion of the transverse colon. While, there is a tendency for prolapsus in a portion of the transverse or descending colon. The cleansing of the bowels with the colonic irrigations, naturally will tend to give more activity through these.
Take small quantities often of mineral oil in that [not that] the body is to depend upon this, but just as any machinery or any portion of the body of such is needed for revitalization. Any of the mineral oils will be helpful or Petrolagar will be more active, provided the alkaline petrolagar is taken.
- (Q) Is the desire for candy in the evening when relaxed and reading more of a habit, or is it the indication of something the system needs? (A) This is partially habit and partially the activity of the pancreas as it creates too much sugar for the body so that it calls for these things be abstained from sweets to a great extent, though any hard candies may be taken in moderation; provided the rest of the things indicated are done.
Do these and we will bring better conditions for this body of [2085].
- We are through with this reading.

Dear Sirs:
I am writing to inquire if you would like a contribution to your library of the type of books published by the Elizabeth Towne Company of Holyoke.
Such books as “The Guiding Power” or the “Plan of the Universe” by White, “Attaining Your Desire” Behrend [?], “Psychology of Prosperity” by Ellsworth [?], “Self Help Thorugh Mental Science” by Harris, etc., etc.
Most of the books are small many are paper covered booklets.
I should be very glad to mail you a dozen, perhaps more, if you so desire.
With all good wishes,
Sincerely yours, [2085]
R4. 8/18/44 EC’s letter to [2085]:
[2085] …, N.J.
Dear Mrs. [2085]
Please pardon me for not replying to yours of the 1st sooner, but I have been away from the office for some little time, and am just getting back to taking care of the correspondence.
We assure you we would be very glad to have any of the books published by the Elizabeth Towne Company. Most all of these have proven, and are proving, to be of help to someone. Not that we want to draw comparisons, but we know that what answers to one doesn’t always answer to another, and if we can have that that will help anyone find themselves and their closer relationship to God, that is what we hope to do.
Thanking you, and hoping that it will be possible for us to receive the books, I am, with every good wish
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce [EC:gp]
