EC: Now, we find with this body the physical is very good throughout. There is in the physical those obstructions to the indentations of the action of the nerve system that produces aberrations and hallucinations in the manifestations of the mental, and the physical becomes abased with these conditions.
-
Now, these are conditions as we find them in this body. First:
-
IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, there are abnormal conditions. Most of this, however, is a normal force, for that that has been accorded the system as sedatives to the nerve centers.
-
The nerve systems in the physical we find that depression first caused in the Lyden [Leydig] gland that pressed, or indentations made on the perineurial and the pineal nerve center connected with the Lyden [Leydig] gland. This then gives the hallucinations in the vibration to the brain center or through the cerebellum oblongata, you see. In the impression as this receives, there comes those conditions of melancholia, of self-destructive forces, of aberrations, of depression as received and hallucinations to all the functioning of the sensory organism, through which these nerve connections find manifestations with the pineal nerve in its course through the system. The excess of these vibrations are producing the indentation or the lack of those in the sensory system. These finding manifestations abnormally.
-
IN THE ORGANS OF THE SYSTEM, we find most function properly. Those organs of the pelvis function abnormal, there having been suppression through the functioning of the genital organs, producing first obstruction in the gland, and to bring the normal to this body would be necessary by operation, to remove these glands in the pelvic organs of genitation [genitation - gestation?]. This will remove the pressure, and with the submerging of the whole sensory system the control over the physical may be brought to the normal functioning.
-
Do that. The sooner the better. This may be accomplished by Gilbert in Baltimore.

R1. 3/13/24 EC’s letter to [2197]‘s cousin:
Mrs. […], Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Dear Mrs. […]
Enclosed you will find a copy of the reading on your cousin, gotten at your request, and I’m very much in hopes that you will insist that the family and friends have this carried out, for I feel very sure from the experience of others that should this be done this young lady will be normal and alright. I’d like very much to hear from you, from time to time. As to who this Gilbert is, referred to in Baltimore, I do not know. I’ve never heard of him before. I am sure some of the physicians at the Institution, or some of your local men can tell you who they are.
As to remuneration [She had sent $2 when verifying the appointment.], of course, our whole time is given to this kind of work, and we ask that those that are able to contribute as much as is possible. We believe that when we try to do our part others will appreciate our position, for we are limited to the number that we are able to give, not being able to make more than two in one day; as this requires the services of three people you can understand something of our position. However, understand, this is left to the discretion of those who apply to us for help. Trusting you will see that this young lady’s friends and relatives do the best for us they can, and trusting we have been of a service, we are
Yours very truly, Edgar Cayce

Dear Sir:
I heard you went into a trance or something like that & told medicines & prescriptions of medicines that cured people of diseases.
I want to ask you to please send a cure for [2197]. For some time she complained of aching as if she had flu. Feeling very dull & lead yet she did house work very well. She awoke at 11 o’clock one night about 1st of Dec. & had lost her reason. She seems dissatisfied every where she goes & hasn’t very much appetite. Is at an insane hospital now - but isn’t making any improvement is getting very very thin. If there is any thing that could be done that would bring about a cure we would sure like to know about it.
Please if you can, send a remedy at once or as early as possible. We will pay you well for your service - inclosed find stamped addressed envelope.
