This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 20th day of November, 1924, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [2199].

1. LS: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body. You will answer all questions which I will ask you regarding the physical conditions of this body.

2. EC: Now, we find there are many abnormal conditions in this body, and they have to do with the assimilation and eliminations as affect tissue in organs, and in the functioning of organs.

3. Now these are conditions as we find them in this body, [2199] we are speaking of.

4. First, IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, we find this carrying bacilli that is destructive to the plasmatic cell in the system and that this affects many portions of the general system, and some specific centers in particular. This produces (this destructive force) the forces within the body by the turning of the cellular units by virus that has been injected in the body. With the condition as was in the system, the combination became destructive in the body. This we find produces this poison that becomes bacilli in tissue and in blood stream.

5. In blood count, we find white blood below normal, red blood below normal and carrying the destructive elements to the lymph and leucocyte forces in blood.

6. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, we find many centers disturbed by this condition, until in portions of the unit in the cellular cell in the nerve stream becomes deflected and diluted to the system. Hence the cartilaginous forces are often involved. While the system attempts to rebuild such broken tissue, the body only under severe strain of its vitality and under special diet keeps the elements necessary to even meet the needs, much less to rebuild vital tissue as stored energy. We see this in the centers about secondary cardiac, about ileum plexus, about the plexuses of the hypogastric and pneumogastric center that vibrate through the digestive system. Hence the deflection, even in the assimilation for the body. Hence we have those properties in diet that become detrimental when used to an excess, when they should not be, for assimilation becomes hindered and the vital forces break in their replenishing for body.

7. IN FUNCTIONING OF ORGANS PROPER, the whole system, rather than a unit, shows the distress and from the source the condition arises. While we have broken tissue in lungs, have congested tissue in spleen and in liver, we have congestion in the mesenteric glands; yet these are but effects of the cause of poisons that have been taken, and system unable to create that element necessary to strangulate, or to eliminate from system, without destroying plasmatic cell and tissue in instances.

8. Then to give the best for this body would be, first:

9. Use that climatic condition that gives more oxygen and ozone to the lung cell.

Use those properties, alternately, in the body that would build blood and iron in blood, that would give the eliminations through the liver, through the intestinal system, without forming toxins and hindrances in obstructions through the alimentary canal. This, we would find, in higher climate than at present, South and West from here, but higher, and use also those inhalations, with the climatic conditions, of the fumes (not properties themselves but gas and fumes) from pure apple brandy, as inhaled in the lungs.

11. Taking in diet, then, forms of Spiritus Frumenti, cooking the egg in same, in small quantity, using only nuts and fruits as the diet. Drinking plenty of milk with the animal heat in same.

12. Do this, and we will bring the better conditions, and with the vital forces kept intact through mental proclivities be able to retard and to build sufficient in system to bring the normal forces to body.

13. Be persistent, be consistent, in all, would the body be normal in physical life.

14. (Q) At what intervals should the fumes of apple brandy be inhaled? (A) Twice each day, for at least five minutes, taking breaths as drawing the fumes into the lung, as smoke would be inhaled.

15. (Q) Would the conditions of this body be termed cancerous? (A) No. From impure virus used in the body.

16. (Q) Would the condition of this body, materially speaking, be called tubercular? (A) No. It may turn into such. No such at present, for we find with the examination we would find streptococci bacilli instead of body of tubercular.

17. (Q) Would it be advisable for this body, in going to a higher climate, to enter a hospital? (A) Better to live in open and rough it.

Do as we have given, if the body would become near the normal and rid of these conditions in the body.

The diet consisting of the milk, as given, the nuts and fruits. Meat of nuts, as prepared for such conditions, using yogurt or honeycomb for the absorption of toxins from the system, or honey charcoal.

Do these. We will bring conditions normal for the body, through persistence, through consistent living, through the keeping of the mental in normal channels.

Dear Sir:

This is my first letter to you. Will you please give me information regarding the following questions? I thank you and unseen forces, for same. Enclosed find check - a love offering for the good of the cause and the comfort that Truth gives us.

What will be the result of a damage suit I am about to start suing an Auto Firm & their representative? Will case be settled out of court - IN WHAT MONTH and how many thousand dollars will I collect from them. 2. A case (ANOTHER ONE) pending - I am asking a cash $600.00 refund from above firm. What result? 3. Is it advisable to go north for a little while to get away from heat & mosquitos BEFORE the court CASE is closed or called. 4. One of my big “wishes” is to travel. Do you see me getting sufficient money to take a trip to Egypt? in what year? 5. In the event I do not go abroad this winter, please give me any suggestions as to locality & what line I would do best in - I have been diagnosed as a CANCER & Tuberculosis case - have chased the T.B. cure five years & operated on for cancer. Physicians disagree as to a diagnosis. I wish I knew the TRUTH. It can’t frighten me - I’ve gone thru too much in the five years - can’t do this, can’t do that - looked on as an undesirable (T.B., etc.). It wears a person out. If I start one kind of work I have to be examined for the (civil service) work. At once I am black listed because I have to answer questions & tell why I’ve been idle 5 years. I try not to be discouraged - I look rather robust wish the dear spirit friends could & would tell me what is ahead & what is advisable for me - will certainly appreciate any bit of advice that may come thru you regarding ANYTHING and if my questions can be answered by you - so much the better.

Dear Mrs. [2199]

Yours of the 15th was forwarded me here. I thank you for the enclosure for the good of the cause.

Now, as to your questions, those relating to the suits and such matters, this character of work I do not take or give information regarding same. If you desire it, I will be very glad to give you a physical reading, and I hope to be able to assist you in gaining the correct understanding of your physical conditions. I’m enclosing, herewith, the regular application card, with the date and hour set at which time this may be made. If this is satisfactory, please return card at once, that it may not prevent someone else having the appointed hour if you do not want same, as it is only possible for me to give three of these in one day, and with the demands we have for time it is necessary that we have the appointments made as far in advance as is plausible to do so. You will please give the address at which you will be on the appointed day and hour.

Have yours of the 11th, relative to a reading for yourself. Shall be very glad to undertake this for you. Our first opening, however, is Thursday afternoon, November 20th, 3:00 P.M. You will please sign and fill out the enclosed card, giving just EXACTLY where you will be at the date and hour, for if you only give approximately where you will be you will be very apt to have an approximate reading, if you have any at all.

If there are any special questions you wish to ask regarding your physical health, shall be glad for you to make note of them.

B4. 11/16/24 [2199]‘s letter to EC:

Chicago, Ill.

Mr. Edgar Cayce Dayton, Ohio At 3 P.M. Nov. 20 I will be sitting quietly in my room at … St., 3rd Floor Room 2, CHICAGO TIME. Facing EAST.

Please see if you find CANCER or TUBERCULOSIS, - if not what else DOES AIL ME? Returning from France, I was diagnosed both and this diagnosis BARS me from old position. I hate to lie in bed tubercular Gov’t. hospitals. Am so unhappy in that environment although I appreciate what Uncle Sam has tried to do for us & I want to get well.

Shall I return to hospitals - (no improvement after 6 YEARS TREATMENT, & I look pretty well) or shall I try some light work out west & south? I do not want to break down, either. Don’t feel well in Chicago when damp weather sets in. Any message or suggestions from the Spirit Friends - will be greatly appreciated.
