This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 17th day of April, 1926, in accordance with request made by Mr. [2201], via Mr. M. B. Wyrick.

[Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]

Time of Reading 9:30 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. Chicago, Ill.

  1. GC: You will have before you the lands located in Section 21 & 22, Township 6, South Range 76 W of the 6 P M in Missouri mining district, Summit County, Colorado, 1 MILE UP Middle Swan Gulch, from the early mining camp of Swandyke, approximately 11 1/2 miles east of Braddocks. You will tell us of the possibilities of locating lead and silver in this district. Tell us, if possible, the width of the vein and value per ton, and at what depth will this shaft encounter the vein, if sunk where they propose to. You will also tell us where you would advise seeking funds with which to finish financing this proposition, and any other information that you may be able to give us that will be of assistance to the operators, Mr. [2201], president of the company, …, Chicago, Ill.

  2. EC: Yes, we have the lands, and [2201] as associated with same. Now, we find there are many different and varied questions asked here regarding these mining operations, and this may all be given. Be careful, then, that these do not become confusing, in the nature of the questions.

  3. First, we find this a district in which there is much mineral, and especially of the silver and lead ores, and in the greater portion of the veins and lodes through this district the lead will pay for the mining or the mill run of the silver. Were the shaft sunk at the place that is intended to be sunk, or where some excavations or work has shown, and does show, the operations in order, we would find that the main vein would be struck at approximately a depth of 191 feet, and that this would be quite a pay ore, for the silver run in same would be high. There is seen, too, that this vein is at an angle, and that the lode divides into two distinct veins, a little distance from where the shaft would strike the lead lead, see? or vein.

  4. Then, do not confuse these by overlooking the best of this, but make the tests and the runs from both veins from where they divide. We find that one that will be to the east would be the better in some respects for a short distance. For the left, or to the west, this would prove, after running some distance of 19 to 20 feet, THIS would prove a more satisfactory, or a richer silver run, for we will find there will be nearly a 47% silver run, or running 196 ounces of silver to the ton, see? The lead would pay for the running, or for the smeltering.

  5. As to the financing of this proposition, there has almost been completed sufficient to open to the mill run, yet for the financing of the proposition to complete same, and to put this into proper shape as a paying proposition, there are individuals, especially, in Denver, Colorado, that may be approached on this. Some associated with the government geological schools, see? Colonel - he’s a colonel, see? and there are others in Chicago that may be interested; though, this once BEGUN, and the vein or lode uncovered, we will find easy financing for the proposition.

  6. We are through.
