This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the Tutwiler Hotel, in Birmingham, Alabama, on this 5th day of January, 1923.

Time of Reading 10:00 A. M. Birmingham, Alabama.

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here. Now we find there are some abnormal conditions in this body, and they have to do with the elimination through the system, and the effect this improper manipulation has produced over the system. Now these are conditions as we find in this body, here, Mrs. [2211], we are speaking of.

2. In the circulation we find the body is very good, the circulation, however, being, or tending toward being deeper circulation and higher hepatics, with some abnormal pressure produced by the deep circulation, and poor capillary circulation, hence the conditions that arise over the body, at times, of dizziness, for the time being, little swimming in the head, tired feeling across the diaphragm; the heaviness reflexly to this, to the feet, limbs, tending to be achy.

3. The number of red blood cells are below normal, though not sufficient in elemental force, yet carrying some effects of the condition, or of the toxins as are left in the system by poor elimination, and taking from the nerve centers, as is given others by this condition, those expressions of elemental forces being surcharged.

4. In the nerve forces in the body we find the cerebro-spinal center and brain forces very good, so that the expression to the brain force becomes one when the body has discerned. At that point it becomes hard to change.

5. The effect from the circulation, with poor capillary circulation to the nerves at two centers especially, we find there are some troubles that give, through their reaction, their expression to the the physical body, that form in the brachial plexus, hence the condition across the shoulders and arms; at times that in the lumbar region, hence the expression or feeling of being overloaded when eating, and the dullness when the body gets up quickly, see.

6. The functioning of the organs themselves, we find these are very good, save through organs of elimination. The digestive forces, through the stomach itself: There are too much lactics and not sufficient hydrochlorics, hence we find there are times when the liver is overtaxed in giving sufficient secretions to balance the system in its functioning.

7. The kidneys give rise to hepatic circulation, making the effect as produced there, for, with the condition in the body, these organs, especially in the emunctories of same, show the strain on the system.

8. To give the perfect balance to this body, we would follow out two specific lines to give the balance in the system. By taking in the system that that will create the balance needed to give incentive to the organs of elimination, and then by exercises to the body that will give relief. Keep the centers giving the body renewed forces as created in the body.

9. We would take plain phosphate of soda, one-half teaspoonful in a half glass of water each morning before breakfast. Each day add to this, as it is taken, five drops of syrup of sarsaparilla. Every third day add two drops terebin [terebene] (turpentine).

10. Each evening, the vibration along the spine should be given, from the cervical region to the lumbar, with a vibrator, electrically driven, for three to five minutes. When this is given, just afterwards, we would rub the spine with cold water, and then dry with a rough towel, to bring the circulation to the segment centers, along the spine. The body will find relief to this after the second or third day. There will be good days and bad days, but will gradually improve, see.

11. (Q) What effect does this have on the eyesight? (A) With the correction of the elimination we will find this will assist all of the organs of the sensory system, as well as of the other portions of the body, and will absorb the secretions as thrown off here in these organs, you see. See, they are taken back into the system, and eliminated through their proper channels, see.

12. (Q) Will she be able to see in the left eye? (A) As we have given here, when the elimination is back to normal in the system, the body will be able to gain control over all of the organs. That which has already become a normal condition will still remain a normal condition. Do as we have given for this body.
