This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 26th day of May, 1926, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [222].

1. EC: Now, we find the conditions with this body would be a very interesting study from a pathological, a biological and from a psychological standpoint, for we find there are many abnormal conditions, and the biological study of the existent conditions would prove interesting, for under the conditions in which the body LABORS, to many it becomes a wonderment that it remains intact. From the pathological conditions, many portions of the anatomical condition in body are at that stage of conditions that would be worth while studying, for the good that might be derived from the study of those existent to use in the benefit of others. The psychological conditions - being one that has been awakened within the individual, that has much to do with the body being in as good PHYSICAL condition as exists at present.

2. Now, these are conditions as we find them with this body. First:

IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find loaded with bacilli that should be eliminated from the system, but has taken possession, as it were, in a way and manner that has become almost a portion, or part and parcel of the system. In the elemental conditions of blood - strong, for the division in the blood system are very pronounced, above ordinary. Hence the pathological and biological effects as are produced in conjunction with the determination in the mental process of the entity.

4. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, this, save as the conditions in the cerebro-spinal as producing the effects in the system, has ceased almost to be - that is, the sympathetic system, as a system, functions only through the sensory system. The centers in the cerebro-spinal show how that the centers in the distressed area of the body are severed almost, as it were, from sympathetic reflection. Another pathological study.

5. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS OF THE BODY, brain forces very good.

6. The sensory system and its reaction taking the place, as it were, over the system, produces supersensitiveness in many conditions of the body.

7. Lungs, larynx, bronchials, very good, save at times when the blood supply being so overcharged, and the eliminations becoming over choked, or clogged, the hacking cough as is produced is reflex through a clogged nerve system and causes some uneasiness.

8. Digestion very good, considering other conditions.

9. Liver engorged and functioning in spasmodic manner.

10. Kidneys overcharged and nearly at that stage of the loss of their potency in the eliminating system.

11. The distress then coming from the organs of the pelvis, through that of indiscretions in the physical functioning and the physical usage of the organs of the body. The distress and congestion as is produced along the Fallopian Tubes and the ovaries show the attacking of this portion by this bacilli. The condition then produced is distressing, yet if the body were cared for in the correct way and manner this might be overcome.

12. Two channels then open for this resuscitation of the physical conditions in this body. Either through that of the preparation of body in the way and manner that the blood will coagulate properly under the knife, or by the operative method, or the body may apply the psychological condition to the body, accentuating same to that extent wherein the inner consciousness may be aroused to that condition where eliminations may be set up, and through the application of electric vibration this overcome, by the creating of those impelling conditions within the body, physical and spiritual, to produce the eliminations in the system through the capillary and dross system. This then may be applied in this manner:

13. First the body must awaken to that full consciousness of the divine that lies within the entity, and the ability of the entity to reach that force as may function through this shell, as it were, of a physical being with a soul to save.

14. Then apply directly through the vagina those rays of the Violet Ray to the organs of the uterus and adjacent. [High frequency violet ray machine, vaginal applicator.] This should be applied at least twenty (20) minutes, increasing after the first or second week.

15. And keep the intestinal tract open by only eating those foods that are nutritious and at the same time nerve and blood building; keeping the colon cleansed with water and antiseptics, as the system needs this for eliminations.

16. Also use those douches in the vagina at least once each three days, or every third day, Creolin, and use in sitz baths those of Myrrh and of Aloes and small quantity. That is, one aloe with twenty (20) drops of tincture of myrrh in BOILING water, and sit over same, so the steam may enter the exposed regions of the vagina and uterus. This will take longer but surer, for the blood stream is in poor condition for the operative method. [Cancer: Incipient? Gonorrhea?]

17. The body, physically, mentally, must arouse itself to the spiritual as well as physical needs for a full resuscitation to take place. Do as we have given.

18. We are through for the present.

I have heart trouble, have had for some time; it is better now than it was a year ago. All the things you told me are right and I want to try it out just as soon as I can. I am not a Christian; I want to be and have tried but failed. I know you must be wonderful. Will you try to help me? Will you please give me the cause and disease and treatment for it? I want to know if it is caused from my past life of living [GD’s note: I think she means early girlhood in this life rather than a past incarnation] or something else.”
