GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will give the cause of the existing condition, also the treatment for the cure and relief of the body.
-
EC: Now we find there are conditions in the physical forces in this body that prevent the giving of the best elements and forces and abilities of this body. Some are conditions that to the body at present have become normal. Others may be corrected and the body physically assisted to give the better development in the physical, and to add to its own development in the entity’s force in present earth plane.
-
Those conditions that may be corrected have to do with eliminations and assimilations in the body. These also give the distress to portions of the body in the functioning of organs in the system.
-
Now these are conditions as we find them in this body, [2229], we are speaking of, present in this room.
-
First:
-
IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, we find a high hepatic circulation from conditions existing in and through the digestion and intestinal tract, yet a low supply of the red blood forces and a lack of the vitality necessary to store energy. Hence the strain that comes on portions of the body under different conditions. The red blood being deficient, and the white being near normal. The constituents of the red blood being below normal, especially in the hemoglobin of this supply. This is shown more especially in the lungs and in the kidneys in their functioning. The heart force is near normal, though below normal in the pressure in blood supply, and a slow pulsation, though not abnormal for the body.
-
IN THE NERVE SYSTEMS, in this we find much of the trouble that is in the body. There has been in times back an accident to portions of the body that has brought to the system a condition in nerve centers that produce distress in the system. Better at present than it has been in times back. This produces in the hypogastric and pneumogastric plexus both disturbing forces. This affects both the digestion and the condition of the system in assimilating the properties from foods to give the proper rebuilding forces in the body. This we find affects directly the condition in the duodenum and in the pancreas, so that the action of food values in system is not corrected in either the duodenum digestion, nor in the lacteal gland. Too much of the forces that should be eliminated becomes the assimilation of the blood forces. In the center then from which this trouble and disturbance radiates is from the 9th to the 12th dorsal plexuses, repression then particularly through the solar plexus center itself. Hence the hypogastric center, both in nerve and in the blood radiation, becomes affected under and through this condition. In the action then of the sympathetic nerve system, which radiates through its branches from the solar plexus center, this gives the condition in extremities, where at times only we have the lack of blood flow to extremities, the system attempting to adjust itself under the strain.
-
IN THE ORGANS OF THE BODY, brain forces very good. The action of the subliminal forces in this body above the ordinary. Hence the ability of the body to control its mental proclivities even under stress or strain of physical conditions existing. That is, the body has the ability to force the mental action even under the stress of physical pain. Hence has been termed in days back as one of iron will and nerve.
-
In the organs of the sensory system, these are very good, though under the strain of the sympathetic condition existing between the hypogastric and pneumogastric plexus in the center about the 5th dorsal segment. The condition there affects the functioning in blood flow to the sensory organs. Hence the strain at times to voice, to the sight, the hearing, to the whole sense of feeling. This is only at times, for the body through the mental forces controls much.
-
Throat, lungs, larynx and bronchials, some local conditions in throat and mouth that need attention. These are surrogated by circulation, but should be attended to through their proper channels, to prevent absorption of poisons in system.
-
Lungs good organically. In the centers from which the radiation of the secondary cardiac plexus gives a depression, spasmodically, in blood flow in lower portion of lung.
-
Digestion under the strain of those conditions as given.
-
In the liver the hepatic, high hepatic circulation is produced by condition in the hypogastric centers, shows how this condition affects the liver direct, though not organically, for both excretory and secretive system is worked above normal, though the system does not assimilate properly. The reflex condition from hypogastric plexus and from the taxing of the system through the condition in pancreas overtaxes the kidneys in their elimination and the emunctories all are engorged, as is the spleen.
-
Then to bring the better conditions and to correct that portion that may be corrected, we would give these for this body. First, correct either osteopathically or chiropractically those conditions existing in the 9th to the 12th dorsal, and those in the 5th dorsal, cervicals and dorsal, and give those vibrations as would be accorded to the body from wearing the applicator of the Radium Applicator. Radium Applicator Company, Los Angeles, Calif.] Do that, and we will find we will bring the better forces to this body, [2229].

R1. 5/24/26 [2229]‘s ltr. to EC:
Mr. Edgar Cayce, Virginia Beach, Va.
Dear Mr. Cayce:
I received your booklet and was very much interested in it. I am very glad to know that your work is apparently progressing nicely.
When you lived on Grafton Avenue, in Dayton, you gave me a health reading. Since then I have often thought of you and wondered where you were.
Now I’d like to get a life reading. You do not say definitely in the booklet what one should pay, but if you will give me a life reading, I should be glad to send you my check for $10.00, if that is satisfactory.
My address is given above. If you can give me the reading, if possible set the time between five and seven o’clock P.M., as I do not get home until five.
My full name is [2229] Born July 14, 1877. New Haven, Conn.
I’d be very glad to hear from you that you can do this. I have always believed that you are sincere, and that you are doing a very useful work. I have for many years been a student of the unseen forces that do mould our lives, “rough-hew them as we may.”
With best personal regards, I am
Sincerely yours, [2229]
P.S. A little later I shall want you to read for my wife and boy.
R2. 6/3//26 He requested a Life Rdg. for himself and son, [2230].
R3. 6/17/26 See 2229-2, his own Life Reading.
R4. 6/23/26 Letter [see under 2229-2]: “Your health reading hit me very closely, which led me to believe that the Life Reading would be equally good. So I think I’ll ask you to give a health reading to my boy [2230] instead of the Life Reading.”
