1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here.

3. Now, we find the conditions in the physical forces of the body are rather serious, and there may be those conditions accorded the system that will bring some relief and correct many of the abnormal forces in system, and through these corrections bring about better conditions for the body, and relieving much of those existent forces that hinder in the normal functioning of the body.

4. These, then, are the conditions as we find them, that have produced or brought about much of the existing conditions.

5. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find deficient in almost every phase, produced by those poisons in system that have been taken in and left in system by the poor eliminations as have been set up in parts of the body. The diet has been often incorrect, as have been many of those conditions as brought about these positions and conditions in the system.

6. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, we find many hindrances at the present time from the normal functioning, many of these brought on by gradual growths, produced by an excess of the rebuilding, or building properties as distributed in system receiving improper incentives and building in portions of the system that bring about lesions, pressure, and conditions that cause distress to the sensory system and to the sympathetic organism of the body, as is seen in condition in eyes and in that portion of the body as is controlled by the plexus from the 1st and 2nd dorsal to the 1st cervical. These, as we see, produced those conditions, and, as we see, through this blood supply, through this condition in the nerve system, the distresses to the pulmonaries and the respiratory system have been hindered and deflected, and trouble caused there, in the weakness in conditions as has been produced.

7. In the general functioning, then, all organs show the distress signals often in their functioning, and in the various conditions as are produced or brought about. Now, RELIEF may be brought to these through the application of these conditions for the body. These should be applied in each case under the direction of physician.

8. First we would, each evening, apply those properties in the old potato - Irish potato - scraped and applied to the sockets of the eyes. This should remain until the morning. Cleanse then with the weak solution boracic acid, and add the small quantity of belladonna in water to the eye - two drops in each, see? This to produce inflammation, and the other to take out, see? Apply each day, before the potato is placed on eye, those vibrations from the Violet Ray, and use the eye applicator. Do this for at least two minutes. May rest in between, but two minutes in all of the application. Not too strong, but sufficient to give a re-vibration that absorption may take place in the system.

9. We would apply to the cerebrospinal system, from the base of brain to the lower end of spine, mud as will be taken from the river near here - opposite the rock crusher. This applied in the morning and allowed to dry - does not mean apply it too wet, so that it makes bad, but apply about half an inch, see? Cleanse off in the afternoon, see? and massage the whole cerebrospinal system with equal parts (that is, when this is removed) of olive oil and tincture of aloes - equal parts, see? This will produce stimulation. After this is massaged, the manipulation should be given to correct the conditions from the 2nd dorsal to the 1st cervical.

10. Use as an inhalant for the respiratory system, bad breath, for the conditions in the lungs and digestive system, these properties:

11. To 4 ounces of pure grain alcohol, add:

Eucalyptol…20 minims, Benzosol…10 minims, Benzoin…5 minims, Canadian Balsam, or Balsam of Fir…5 minims, Rectified Oil of Turp…5 minims, Tincture of Tolu in solution…40 minims.

12. Keep this in a glass corked bottle at least two and a half or three times larger than the quantity necessary. Shake solution and inhale at least three to four times each day. This will change the whole elimination system, with the conditions being treated externally as given. Keep this up for at least twenty-eight days - yes, the manipulation shall be given each evening, too, see? osteopathically.

Do that. Then we would give that necessary for the change.

I received your letter and was so glad to hear from you. If it is possible to read [2238]‘s case any sooner than the 25th of October, I sure will be glad. I didn’t tell you how seriously ill he is. He has been blind since March and has had about eight doctors with him but when Mr. […] [Mrs. [1690]‘s husband] told me about you I sat right down and wrote to you. Now, if I knew it was all right to tell you about his case, I would, but perhaps you don’t want me to tell you. He says he can hardly wait because he thinks you may restore his sight. He is twenty-three years old, has been sick a year this month, lost his sight last March.

“But now if you can change the date of someone who probably isn’t so serious and get to him sooner on account of his eyes we will be so delighted but now if it be inconvenient to do so, I will fill out the card for October 25th.

“Hoping I shall hear from you soon as my son believes you will cure him. Oh, you don’t know how anxious we are for his sight to be restored. Thanking you…”
