[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. (Notes read to and transcribed by Jeanette Fitch.) Mrs. [2175], Mrs. [2390], Mrs. [2823] and Harmon Bro.]

Time of Reading 4:25 to 4:30 P. M. Eastern War Time. …, Va.

  1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions as I ask them:

  2. EC: Yes - yes, we have the body here.

  3. As we find, the acute conditions here are much improved, but we would add to these in the present the use of Camphorated Oil as a massage in the chest and over the area from the diaphragm up to the neck, or from the 9th dorsal - or the middle of the spine - upward.

  4. Do take internally about five drops of Syrup of Squill, and in the morning she will be a lot better.

  5. Then, keep away from sweets for two or three days, and keep the eliminations good - using Caldwell’s Syrup of Pepsin as an aid in flushing the system. Give this in broken doses rather than in large doses, and we will find corrections.

  6. Do that.

  7. Ready for questions.

  8. (Q) Does the cough arise from the same condition indicated in the last Reading? (A) This arises from the stomach condition. That is why the broken doses rather than in large doses, and we will find corrections.

  9. (Q) Should she be kept out of school? (A) By Monday she should be able to go to school.

  10. (Q) What should be the correct mental attitude for the body and mother to hold cooperatively when any physical disturbance arises? (A) Know that the physical conditions must be met in the physical. It is well that mother and child understand that the physical conditions are met in the physical, the mental are met in the mental, the spiritual are met in the spiritual. They can all coordinate, just as hands and feet may coordinate with the music in dancing, just as music and the voice may coordinate together. So long as they are close or as one, you call it beautiful. When they are out of harmony, it causes discord. So it is with the attitude of each. Keep one in purpose. Never argufying; not always agreeing, but always willing to listen and to counsel well together.

  11. We are through for the present.
