GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2341].
-
Now as we find, there are disturbing conditions which prevent the normal reactions through the functioning of the organs of the body; and these unless corrected may lead to greater disturbances than even now exist in the functioning of the organs and the activities of same.
-
These conditions originally arose from there being first the tendencies for the blood supply to be overflowing with malaria.
-
Then there were those contractions by the system of flu.
-
These, combined with a period of quite a bit of temperature, necessitated some severe measures towards the breaking up of same. This produced in the eliminating systems a reversing of the condition almost; causing often, or repeatedly, the involvement of the circulation in eliminating poisons through the perspiratory system, or superficial circulation, that should be eliminated through other channels.
-
Thus the causing of some accumulations and segregations of the attempts of the lymph to DESTROY these centers attempting to be eliminated. Thus the chilblains, boils and the like over the body.
-
These get better, and then apparently break out in unexpected places, or cause a great deal of disturbance and anxiety to the body.
-
Here, as indicated, we find the involvement of the circulation and the SOURCES of its activity and impulses towards the activity through eliminating channels.
-
There are little of the secretions and excretions of the liver towards the proper eliminations; and the gall duct itself becomes gradually choked, or the duct shows signs of little impulse of circulation through same.
-
A great deal of inflammation is indicated through the eliminations of the kidneys, as shown by the discoloration at times in the urine and tendencies for sediments to easily form in same.
-
These conditions in general produce some little temperature, and unless the SOURCES of the conditions are eliminated, they may become such as to act upon either the organ of the liver itself or the lung, or some of the organs associated in eliminations, - or the kidneys may become involved - which show signs of the distresses being produced by these excesses of poisons or toxins being carried through them, rather than being eliminated in their normal manner through the system.
-
First we would begin with the taking consistently of a compound prepared in this way and manner; mixing and adding these in the ORDER named:
Sulphur…1 heaping tablespoonful, Rochelle Salts…1 heaping tablespoonful, Cream of Tartar…1 heaping tablespoonful.
Mix these THOROUGHLY together. This doesn’t mean merely stirring, but grinding them together with mortise and pestle or the like. Each morning before breakfast take a level teaspoonful of this mixture, in a little water or dry.
-
Then drink plenty of water through the day, at least six to eight tumblers full. Throughout the period of taking this compound, be sure that the feet are kept dry; that is, do not get the feet damp or wet, being careful not to get caught in the rain or the like.
-
After this compound has begun to act thoroughly on the system - about the fifth day, - begin with adjustments that will release the tensions which exist through the lumbar and sacral, through the 6th, 7th and 8th dorsal, and THROUGHOUT the cervical area.
-
Do this OSTEOPATHICALLY; taking a treatment twice each week, continuing with the eliminant and blood purifier as we have indicated, see?
-
When there have been about twelve of such treatments or adjustments, and the compound taken regularly, - leave off the osteopathic treatments for about twenty days, - but begin immediately with using (along with the compound, you see) the Violet Ray (hand machine, rod applicator). This would not be the bulb applicator, but the rod - which would be held one time in the right hand, the next day the bare foot (left foot) placed upon the rod - after it has been placed on glass, you see; the next day held in the left hand, the next day the right foot placed on same, you see; continuing to rotate the applications in this manner; for three minutes each. Continue this for ten days.
-
Then leave off the compound AND the Violet Ray for some ten days.
-
Then begin all over again; but this time after the five days of taking the compound, only ONE osteopathic treatment a week would be taken until six have been taken.
-
Then leave these off (that is, the osteopathic treatments), and begin the electrical treatments again; taking these as indicated for ten days, and keeping up the compound throughout the period.
-
Then have the rest period from all applications, and if necessary repeat the whole procedure.
-
As to the diet, - do not take fried foods, nor meats such as beef or hog meat - though crisp bacon may be taken in small quantities if desired. The other meats taken should consist of fish, fowl or lamb.
-
Each day have a meal consisting principally of raw vegetables; such as lettuce, celery, carrots, mustard, spinach or the like; onions, radishes. These need not be in such quantities, but sufficient that they add the vital forces from the green vegetables to the activity of the system.
-
This diet, of course, should begin from the beginning of the entire treatments as here outlined.
-
Not too much of milk, nor too much of sweets, - save honey may be taken in the honeycomb, preferably, or if not in the honeycomb know that it is the pure strained honey.
-
If these are done, we will find that we will eliminate the sources, as well as build up the body for better resistances.
-
Do that.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) What causes the sharp pain in chest when taking a deep breath, or when lifting something heavy? (A) The effect of the strain from the disordered, distorted eliminations upon the organs there, - which, as we have indicated, is a part of that condition against which the body is being warned. This may affect the lung, the liver OR the kidney, or ALL of them, if the strains are not removed and the blood purified through nominal, normal channels. Or, there may become such pus forming sacs on the lung, the liver or the kidneys, as indicated in the superficial circulation at times.
But do these things as we have indicated, in a consistent manner, and we will eliminate these disturbances.
- We are through for the present.

Reports & Follow-up
R1. 12/30/42 He requested a Physical Rdg. for baby daughter, [2877].
R2. 4/26/43 He requested a Physical Rdg. for his mother-in-law, Mrs. [3050].
R3. 6/30/52 Sister [1747]‘s report:
“As far as I know he never had malaria; the doctor said it was the flu - the year before the reading.
“He was having boils all over his body and was so miserable that he had a hard time to work.
“The reading was not carried out to the letter. I could not find the rod for the violet ray and it was difficult to adjust the timing of the treatments with those of the doctor.
“He used home treatments prior to the reading - compresses and poultices to bring the boils to a head.
“He did it all according to the reading except the violet ray treatment and I was unable to find a rod, so we tried the bulb.
“He kept the diet for a while.
“He still has sties on his eyes and his hands bother him a little.
“He still occasionally takes the sulphur compound outlined in his reading and it helps him a great deal. This is one part of the reading that he followed. The tendency for these boils or sties, or breaking out, seems to be gradually going away.
“He has pains through his back, and his eyes are weak, which might be resulting from the liver and kidneys becoming involved (which the reading mentioned).”
R4. 10/19/58 Miss [1747]‘s card: “My brother, [2341], died suddenly yesterday.”
R5. 11/13/58 Sister [1747]‘s letter: “My brother, [2341], was so very good to me and my father and mother [2434] which endeared him to me too. He was a loving husband and father and his family adored him. So only they know of the great loss they have received.”

B1. 8/10/40 [2341]‘s letter to EC:
“I am writing you in regards to my condition and reading which you say you have open for me on August 15th, from 10:30 A.M., to 11:30 A.M., EST. That period would be splendid for me as I have had another attack of boils come on me. I have been bothered with them for about four years. They first came on me when I was visiting in Florida about four years ago. At first I thought it was from eating too much citrus fruit but when I returned, they still kept coming on me. They came one at a time but about two weeks after one was gone another would show up.
“I finally went to a Dr. Yoll [?] in Youngstown who prescribed taking a series of ten shots in the arm. After taking these, the boils did not bother me for about six weeks, but when they started returning I went back to the doctor, who prescribed ten more shots. After taking these, the same thing occurred in about eight weeks. I went back to the doctor and he said his only hope was that I take a box of Stanoxyl [?] tablets. These I took and I was rid of my boils for almost a year when they started to break out on me again. So I took another box of Stanoxyl [?] tablets. It kept them away for about eight months. Now they are coming back on me.
“I had a boil on my hip last week and now I have a sty breaking out on my eye. I have come to the conclusion that everything is not functioning right in my system or else there is a poison draining in my system. So that is my story in full. My sister, [1747], told me about your good work and persuaded me to write to you. I feel from her description of your work that you will be able to help, so I remain in wait for my reading. I will be working on a house on Lancaster Avenue of Grosse Point Woods, Michigan at the stated time of my reading.
“Hoping to hear from you soon I remain…
“P.S. I have been suffering another ailment in my chest. When I take a deep breath I have a sharp pain in my chest. Or when I lift something heavy, that pain bothers me.”
B2. GD’s note: EC was ill and had to postpone his appointment.
