This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 15th day of February, 1941, in accordance with request made by the self - Miss [2348], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

Time of Reading 4:00 to 4:15 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Va.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2348].

3. As we find, there are general improvements in the physical forces of the body. These, to be sure, tend to be a helpful influence also to the more specific conditions.

4. Now we would alter the applications somewhat from those that have been made heretofore; though we find it is necessary that there be a continuation of the osteopathic treatments for the time.

5. For another series or two, then, we would have the adjustments osteopathically - at least two more series; to keep up the drainages from the head and neck and especially a better circulation through the nerves that lead to the eyes and the head.

6. We would have five treatments in a series, you see; one taken every other day.

7. Now, however, in place of the Erlanger treatments, we would add the low Wet Cell Appliance carrying the vibrations of two characters of solutions to the body, but prepared in a little different manner from that ordinarily indicated - and applied differently.

8. The solution for charging the Appliance should be made double strength.

9. Have the connections or anodes prepared so that the vibrations can be taken to the body through the hands; one pole nickel, the other brass or copper.

10. Use alternately the Gold Solution (in the proportions of two grains to each ounce of distilled water) and the Spirits of Camphor (commercial strength). Have different containers for these, of course. One day use the Gold, the next day the Camphor, and so on. These would be used through the nickel connection, of course. And each time the nickel pole would be held in the right hand, while the copper pole would be held in the left hand for thirty minutes.

11. The Appliance should be used in this manner for a week before beginning the series of adjustments osteopathically, see? Then use it for a week after the series of adjustments.

12. These vibrations are now suggested in preference to the applications directly to the optics themselves, and will work with the adjustments. The effects to be expected by the use of these solutions are as follows:

13. The Gold is to increase the stamina in the nerve forces themselves.

14. The Camphor is to keep down inflammation, or to so work with the vibration of the body as to destroy or to prevent greater irritations. It is to work with the creative system, or the leucocytes of the blood and the nerve expressions.

15. Then, keep the activities, the mental attitudes, the diets and regular activities in the way which has been indicated; and we will bring the better influences to the body.

16. The rest period between the two series of osteopathic adjustments should be the same as indicated heretofore. But use the Appliance a week before beginning the second series also, you see, and then a week afterwards.

17. Ready for questions.

18. (Q) Should these osteopathic treatments be taken in Norfolk if so, by whom - or should I go back to Dr. Dobbins? (A) Go to Dr. Dobbins! For this is preferable to that as may be given here.

19. (Q) How can I prevent excruciating headaches during menstruation? (A) These, as we find, come from a general strain. There should be particular reference made to this in the adjustments through that area from the 9th dorsal to the 4th lumbar.

20. (Q) Should I expect definite improvement in vision? When? (A) There IS definite improvement already! While this is slow, there is definite improvement, and this will come gradually of course.

21. (Q) Is my general physical condition all right? (A) As indicated, this is very much better.

22. (Q) Do I need more physical exercise? (A) As the weather permits, have more exercise in the open; but protect the eyes, to be sure, when in bright sunshine.

23. (Q) How can I strengthen nervous system? (A) As just indicated, - we have given those things for the building of the nervous system, see?

24. (Q) Shall I continue Dr. Erlanger’s eye drops each night? (A) These are not necessary. You can prepare those from any good antiseptic.

25. (Q) Why did I get worse after last electrical treatments? (A) There was the attempt to use too high a vibration. Hence we are changing these to that as will be applied in UNISON with the vibrations of the system, and which will be as we find now - MORE beneficial.

26. (Q) Should I take radium on March 9th? (A) Preferably have a series of the treatments as outlined here before that period, and as we find this may not be necessary at all!

27. (Q) Any other advice? (A) Keep the mental attitude in a constructive, more helpful force, - that is a part, of course, of the experience of the entity.

R1. 2/19/41 Mother’s letter: “We have rec’d the rdg. for [2348], also the directions for using Wet Cell Appliance. I note that the ingredients packed separately in the proper quantities may be ordered from you. We would like to do this. So please fix it up for us, as we know absolutely nothing about it, this being our first experience. We appreciate what is being done for my daughter, and I do hope and pray that she will receive much benefit. I haven’t an idea what the cost of the ingredients will be, but I feel sure you will do your best for us. Your encouraging words and tone have inspired very much my daughter and me. Any suggestions at any time will be much appreciated. Thank you so much for the names and addresses in N.Y., to whom we may write for information as to accommodations. R2. 2/20/41 EC’s letter: “Thanks for yours of the 19th. Notice there is a notation that an appliance is to be delivered to you on the 24th. Believe they will have all the necessary ingredients for same or show you all about it when they bring it in. It is one of those things that has to remain in one place, and do not put it where if the acids in same get spilled they would spoil anything. Will try and see they give you full instructions about same.

“Yes, do hope we may be the means of being of help for Miss [2348]. Mr. [1861] and Mrs. [2072] were here last week and asked very particularly about Miss [2348]. They are very well.

R3. 2/28/41 Mrs. Elizabeth O. Brown (David E. Kahn’s secretary) wrote: “Tell Gladys that I wrote Miss [2348] and arranged for a room for her here, and I will try to see her when she gets to town.”

R4. 7/30/47 A.R.E. member at Norfolk Group meeting told GD that Miss [2348] is now totally blind.
