EC: We have the body here, [2349]. Now, we find while the body is very good in many respects, there are those conditions that are abnormal for this body, and these have to do with the assimilation and the eliminations of the system, and the effect these have and do produce upon the functioning of organs, as have and as are involved in the manner of the condition.
-
These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, [2349] we are speaking of, present in this room. First:
-
IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, here we find evidences in the constituents of the blood, the character of eliminations as is disturbed in the system, and that the red blood itself is below normal in red blood count, while the white is not full normal at all times, there ARE times when these are ABOVE normal; yet in the character of the plasm in cell indicate that organs are the disturbing factor, and the CONDITION of organs the disturbing forces in the troublesome or disorders of the system. The unbalancing of the metabolism of the system, due to those conditions as exist in ORGANS disturbed, and the functioning of the nerve supply to organs so disturbed. This producing that heaviness as occurs, especially across the lower lumbar region, and as we shall see has to do with the circulation through the lower hepatic circulation.
-
IN THE NERVE SYSTEM OF THE BODY, here we find again evidences of disturbances, for - as the blood supply carries that assimilated and also assists in the eliminations in the system, so also the nerve forces carry impulses and are the indicators of distress in the body, causing, producing, the pains as may occur or re-occur, from pressure or disorders as may exist in various portions of the system, when the cycle of functioning is complete, as is seen here with this body, [2349] we are speaking of.
-
In the false pelvis we have those pressures which bring to the body distresses through the certain character of eliminations from the system. These cause those distressing pains in head, especially to the upper portion or top, and to the lower portion of the spine. Feet heavy. These are effects, NOT the cause of the disturbance.
-
In the lower lumbar we find a form of lesion, where the system in attempting to supply sufficient of the nerve energy to produce normal functioning of the organs of the pelvis, and the pressure as is produced there, bringing irritation to the kidneys or bladder at times, causes the pressure to induce a form of lesion. This at the 4th dorsal lumbar. Reflexly we find the same condition existent in a different form in the upper portion of the cervical region, where the sympathetic plexus - from the central nervous system, and those of the cardiac and hypogastric cross in the 3rd and 4th cervical. This, then, that center from which the radial force affect directly the pressure in blood supply, as well as bringing distresses to the upper part of the brain center proper.
-
IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, brain forces very good. Discrimination by the body good. Those of reflexes, often the body thinks twice before acting upon impulse. The impulse, more often correct than the second thought or activity.
-
Organs of the sensory system at times show stress, under the strain as has been produced in the system, and as is effected by the condition as has existed and does exist in both the nerve system and in the blood supply.
-
Throat, bronchia and lungs - these are NOMINAL for CONDITIONS as have existed. Beware of the condition that may be resultant from allowing the plasm in the white and red blood supply to become below normal.
-
Heart’s action at times quicker and at other times too slow. This from that SYMPATHETIC condition existent in cardiac plexus as related to the hypogastrics.
-
In the digestive system we again find distresses at times. These are more of the nature of a nervous digestion. Hence producing, from the condition existent in the lumbar, those overactive in the lower hepatics, until the action through liver and the lacteals are cold, and assimilations becoming low, causes distress through the assimilating forces of the system as related to the jejunum, or those portions from which the intestinal digestion and assimilations take place. The kidneys suffer when there is an overtaxed condition through upper hepatics, or an overflow through the lower portion of same.
-
Then, to meet the needs of the conditions of this body at the present time, first we would add those vibrations in medicinal properties that would so change those vibrations in the lower hepatic circulation as to give that in the system upon which the sympathetic and activities of the nerve supply may build by proper assimilation. Taking, then, those properties as are found in Vinol, adding to same with every third dose - of a single teaspoonful (and take the Vinol twice each day) - a single teaspoonful - add TO that those properties as would be combined in this:
Take simple syrup…2 ounces, Tincture of Valerian…1/2 ounce, Elixir Calisaya…1/2 ounce, 10% solution Iodide of Potassium… 40 minims, 10% solution Bromide of Potassium… 10 minims, Tincture of Capsici…2 minims.
Shake this solution before adding to dosage as given of Vinol, only ten minims, see?
-
Correct those lesions as exist in the lumbar and cervical region, adding to the vibrations - after these corrections are made - which would require at least six to ten adjustments, those vibrations of the sinusoidal ray, using the low frequency and applying same to the sacral plexus and to the plexus opposite the solar plexus. This should be given only twice each week, and for only three to five minutes.
-
We will find we will bring the near normal condition for this body, RELIEVING the pressure in the system and bringing a near normal reaction. Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Should the adjustments be made osteopathically? (A) Be made osteopathically.
-
(Q) What causes the gnawing at the stomach? (A) The inability of the system to adjust itself to that reaction of the forces as are shown that come from the lower hepatic circulation, so that foods that enter cause the regurgitation in the duodenum. This produces, then, this reaction.
-
(Q) What causes the drawing at the back of the neck? (A) The action of the hypogastric, as given, in the upper cervicals, which is at the back of the neck, just above the nape.
-
(Q) What causes the pains in the right side? (A) The system attempting to adjust itself to those conditions that are arising from disturbance in the lacteals, as given. Correct that as produces same, from lesions lumbar and sacral - manipulations and corrections from the cardiac and the hypogastric, or cervicals, and we will find - with these conditions added as given, we will correct the conditions in this body, [2349] we are speaking of. We are through for the present.

To the Head Physician, Cayce Hospital, Virginia Beach, Va.
Dear Sir:-
On Wednesday Night of last week, I called at the hospital to see you in connection with my reading No. … a copy of which you have on file.
I was told by Mr. Cayce that you were indisposed, and he assured me that you would write up the prescription referred to in my reading, mailing same to me immediately, so I might have it filled. In its present form, I don’t think it is plain enough to be filled intelligently by a druggist.
Up to this time, I’ve heard nothing from you. Your prompt attention, will be much appreciated.
Your very truly, [2349]
R2. 9/11/29 Ltr. from the Secretary of the Cayce Hospital to [2349]:
Mrs. […] …, Va.
Dear Mrs [2349]:-
In reference to your letter of Sept. 9th, Dr. House, the physician in charge of the Hospital, has been and is still quite ill, or your prescription would have been mailed to you sooner. Am enclosing same to you and hope you will have no further trouble.
Sincerely, CAYCE HOSPITAL
Secretary

Mr. Edgar Cayce: 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va.
My dear Mr. Cayce:-
On August 28, 1929, I was given a psychic reading at your office at 115 W. 35th Street - Reading …
I at once proceeded to follow your instructions to the letter, as I was very enthusiastic and felt sure I’d obtain results. My reading called for a dozen or more osteopathic adjustments. I took the reading to the very best osteopath in Norfolk, who said there were some mistakes, but he followed to the best of his knowledge what he could get from it. I took about forty treatments in stead of a dozen as directed in my reading. Also took the prescription during that length of time, about four months. Getting very little results, I stopped. The treatments probably helped me some, while taking, but I couldn’t keep them up. Since then I have tried other things, but nothing helps me for very long at a time.
I have answered none of your inquiries because I hadn’t gotten results & didn’t want to say so, until I had given the treatment a thorough trial. Now I want to know, if you will give me another reading Free of charge, as sort of a check on my reading in August. I shall certainly appreciate it. I still feel that yours is wonderful work and there must have been something wrong with my reading is some way. I should also like to get any literature re lectures etc., that I haven’t been getting lately.
I shall be grateful for your consideration of this request.
Yours very truly, Mrs. [2349]

Mrs. [2349] …, Virginia
Dear Mrs. [2349]:-
Replying to yours of the 26th, will it be possible for you to come out and talk this matter over with me? We will be very glad to make a check on this, but I would like to talk with you concerning the information that has already been given, and the manner in which it has been used. I assure you we want to be of help. I think we can talk this over and see what is the trouble. As you say, the only honest way we can find out is to try it out and see - but we have to be very sure we have tried it in the manner suggested that it be tried. It is either correct or it is false. It can’t be half way, for I am NOT - in my waking state - a doctor, a diagnostician, nor even a very good judge of human nature. It CAN’T be just guess work. It either IS or it ISN’T.
I’ll be very glad to see you. Please phone and let me know when it would suit you to come out. I don’t think I will be here next week, as I’ve got to take a little rest. Any time after that, though, we can, I am sure, arrange top get this check-up sometime when we are making the check readings on the hospital patients.
Hoping and trusting to be of service, I am
Sincerely, EC:GD
