-
HLC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions; also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here.
-
Now as we find, there are conditions which disturb or prevent the normal physical reactions in this body.
-
We find that this has to do with the effects that have been produced upon the centers of locomotion as controlled through impulses in the nervous system, as well as brain reflexes.
-
These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, [2366] we are speaking of, present in this room:
-
First, in the blood supply, - we find this very good in many ways and manners, but the hindrances that have come about in the activities of the body - or PREVENTING the activities of the body - do affect through the abilities and inabilities of the body to assimilate those forces for replenishing the reaction through the system.
-
In the nervous system we find the sources of the disturbance, through the effect of temperatures in the nerve impulses along the system where there is the coordination between the sympathetic and cerebrospinal; causing the bursa at certain centers to become very much aggravated, enlarged or engorged.
-
These, moving along the nerve impulses to the reflex centers from the brain, or the activities to and from the brain, caused those conditions in the areas from which this impulse arose - to become in a form of atrophy.
-
Thus the locomotory centers and impulses through same became hindered in allowing the active forces in the body.
-
Hence the areas indicated in afflicted portions of the body are kept from normal reflex and reactions in the system.
-
That the atrophy has not CONTINUED to the affected portions would indicate that there are helpful means to be aroused in the system to hasten the rebuilding to better activity the afflicted or disturbed portions of the system.
-
We find that the organs of the system function under a strain in their attempts to produce normalcy; yet, as indicated, there is the lack of the ability to assimilate certain active forces, - the application of which will be necessary to aid or assist in the glandular forces that create this character of impulse to aid in supplying those influences which may better aid the body.
-
First, then, in making administrations that would be helpful:
-
We would not change so much from that being administered, for these are ALLAYING influences; but we WOULD ADD those administrations (which we will indicate) to reach those conditions as we have given need stimulation for their replenishing in a more normal, healthful way and manner.
-
Each evening, then, when ready to retire, we would massage into the cerebrospinal system all that the body will assimilate of an equal combination of Peanut Oil and Olive Oil. Especially massage all that the body will absorb along the cerebrospinal system; beginning at the base of the brain and continuing throughout the whole length of the spine - massaging downward, you see in a rotary motion, AWAY from the brain.
-
ONCE each week, preferably on Thursdays, substitute THIS combination of oils, in place of the Peanut Oil and Olive Oil:
-
To four ounces of Russian White Oil, add - in the order named:
Oil of Pine Needles…1 ounce, Oil of Mustard…1/4 ounce, Oil of Sassafras…1/2 ounce.
This would be more of a stimulating rub; and if this at times - because of heat - causes irritation, or a rash, cut down the quantity of the Sassafras oil as combined in same; but make this as a compound to be used the one evening each week. This would be massaged merely on either side of the spinal system, but in a rotary motion along the spine - downward.
-
Also each day for thirty minutes - AFTER the massage has been begun and used for the first week to ten days - we would use the low Wet Cell Appliance. Have this prepared to carry Chloride of Gold vibratorially into the system, in the proportions of one grain to one ounce of distilled water.
-
The small copper plate would be attached to the 9th dorsal center, while the larger nickel plate - through which the Gold Solution would pass vibratorially - would be attached to the umbilical and lacteal duct area. Keep these plates clean, and in contact, though not binding to the body in the areas indicated.
-
Do these, and in six to eight weeks we will find a great deal of improvements; at which time we would then give further instructions.
-
Be sure that there is plenty of Vitamin B-1; not only as to foods, but this may be taken also in the form of ADIRON. Take only one pellet each day in the beginning, or for the first ten days to two weeks. Then this may be increased to two pellets each day.
-
Do these, if we would bring the bettered conditions for this body, [2366].
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Will you outline a diet for the body? (A) The general diet which has been indicated, save increasing the amounts of B-1 taken; which is found in most foods that use the whole wheat or whole grain in their entirety; as steel cut oats, whole or cracked wheat; carrots, beets, yellow peaches, squash, - all of these of the yellow variety.
-
(Q) Will the body be able to return to full responsibility in his business? (A) He should be able within nine to twelve months to return to his business.
Be persistent, be consistent with the suggestions indicated; and after the six to eight weeks receive the further instructions which we would give.
- We are through for the present.

(You should have no trouble in securing the various oils from your local druggist. If so, they can be obtained from Meredith Drug Co., 17th St., Va. Beach. The Peanut Oil and Olive Oil may be bought in equal quantities and then mixed. See extra copy [which was enclosed] of the other compound which the druggist may mix, and which is only to be used once a week.
The ADIRON tablets may be obtained from Burrow-Martin or Meredith’s.
See article [which was enclosed] explaining the theory of the Wet Cell Appliance. We can borrow such an Appliance for you to use during the first six to eight weeks, and if it is necessary to use it longer - after you have the Check Reading - it might be possible to rent it. You do not begin this, though, until the massage has been followed for a week to ten days. So, if you can come for it in about a week, we will get the Appliance and have it here at the house. GD
Be sure to let us know about a week before you have completed the course of treatment outlined, so that we may make the appointment for the Check Reading to give further instructions.)

Reports & Follow-up
R1. 11/6/40 Phone request by self; time will be up for Check Rdg. on Mon. or Tues. he will stay at home for the Rdg.; is getting on fine except for arm.
- What improvement is seen since the first Reading? In what respects?
- When may I expect improvement with reference to use of arm? and hand?
- Should same type of rubs be continued?
- Should Wet Cell Appliance carrying the Gold be continued in same manner?
- When may I expect to gain the use of my leg?
- Would you recommend any other treatments to further my recovery?
