This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 19th day of November, 1930, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [2371], via Mr. [5717]”s Friend, Mr. […].

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]

Time of Reading 11:00 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Ohio. (Physical Suggestion)

  1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [2371] and those conditions as surround same.

  2. In the physical forces of the body we find there are those conditions as bring distress to the physical functioning. These have to do with the manner in which the blood supply as is assimilated is distributed in portions of the system; this not, as ordinarily termed, a blood condition; rather is it an element lacking in same, caused by the hindrances in a balancing in the glands as secrete in system for the various portions of the body’s nominal resuscitation, and produces a character of condition that prevents the body from storing the vitality as is necessary to keep the system in an even balance; taking on at times those forms of congestion, either for the lymph portion - as for head and soft tissue in same - or at others producing a catarrhal effect in the system as related to the digestive organs themselves. This, then, may be called a HUMOR, or an effect of this disorganization in the system of those elements as make for proper distribution in system.

  3. In meeting the needs of same, as we would find, these elements added in a proper manner would bring about a much near normal activity: Those in the thyroid solution, given in doses of three to five drops each day - once each day; and those of an active force as may be found in those serums as are a preventive of temperature producing forces in the system, or that act as an aid to the scavengers of the white blood supply - these taken cold, or in the lymph and capillaries, rather than in veins. These would be given one every five to seven days until the three doses of same are taken. We would prefer that as is prepared by Sharp & Dohme, in the form of the typhoid serum. Do that. These should be taken or given under the supervision of physicians, and one that is ESPECIALLY interested in the straining or alleviating of distresses for the physical forces of the body.

  4. In the matter of the diet - these, especially during these periods that these properties would be taken, should be those that are nerve and blood building, rather than those of weight or of just filling in the system. Those, then, would be more of the citrous fruits in the mornings, and without those of coffees or teas, though milk, or cereal foods may be taken in the form of drink. In the noon, should be those not of meats or of much greases - but rather that as will aid in the assimilation of the gastric forces as in the digestive system. OILS may be taken, but not as GREASES. Those of vegetable oils may be used as dressings, or taken for a lubrication in the system. Small doses, rather than large, will be found more effective. These taken more often, but not more than the system may assimilate - so that, in the active forces of the gastric juices - these are not acted upon as one that PRODUCES an excess, but as enlivens or stimulates the functioning of same.

  5. In these manners, we will find we will bring better conditions for the body of [2371]. We are through for the present.
