This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the home of Mr. David E. Kahn, 20 Woods Lane, Scarsdale, N.Y., this 28th day of November, 1940, in accordance with request made by the daughter - Mrs. […], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Mr. [257].

Time of Reading 4:25 to 4:35 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Pa.

1. HLC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2412].

3. As we find, there are conditions that are preventing the better physical functioning. These are rather of the specific nature, though the effects upon the system are of some general natures.

4. We find that these have reached those stages that there should be some definite steps taken for the full corrective measures.

5. Then, these are conditions as we find them with this body, [2412] we are speaking of:

6. The blood supply indicates the disturbance to be in those areas from which the activities of the body receive their aid in assimilation and in distribution of assimilated forces.

7. For, the hindrances arise in the activity of the gall duct AND the conditions that are being manifested in the areas of the system as related to same.

8. There have been definite formations of stones, or the crystallization of the formations from the activity of the duct and bladder, from the actions in the system itself.

9. We find that the effects created are the hindrances in the abilities of the body to assimilate certain foods; with quite a bit of pain at times and conditions throughout the alimentary canal following same.

10. The general nervous system suffers under the stress from the acute conditions that are the more often arising from same.

11. As we find, conditions have reached those proportions where operative measures would and SHOULD be needed. While through some applications temporary relief might be given, these are of such natures in the present that there is too great a danger of infectious forces arising to risk or to attempt such.

12. Hence WE would suggest that there be chosen someone in sympathy with the conditions of the body, as well as the desires of those about the body, and through such have the operative measures to remove these disturbances.

13. Tests should be made as to the manner in which the blood will react towards coagulation. However, this can or may be - through the proper channels - corrected in a short period. And the sooner the operation is performed, after such reactions are brought about, the better for the body - in the recuperative forces or relief of the distresses from those disturbances.

14. Do that.

16. (Q) Is there any particular doctor you would recommend? (A) Rather one, as indicated, who is acquainted with the circumstances and the needs of the individual. Any that is well acquainted with such would be well.

17. (Q) In Philadelphia or New York? (A) As just indicated, - one acquainted with the needs and the abilities of those in relationship to same. In either, the condition may be cared for.

18. (Q) What is the best time for this operation? (A) Any time after the tests show the better, or the best, coagulation in the system.

19. (Q) Any special preparation necessary? (A) As just indicated.

Do these, if we would bring the better forces and influences for this body, [2412].

Dear Mr. […]

Have yours of the sixteenth with application for membership in the Association and request for the Life Reading. We are very far ahead with these appointments. I hope this is not too unreasonable for you, for the first period is the morning of the 20th of December, 10:30 to 11:30 Eastern Wartime. If you accept this time, I am sure you will want to send us a few questions before the time.

Dear Mr. Cayce:

I am very much disappointed in your letter of the 23rd inst. as for many years Mr. [257] has been telling me how wonderful you are.

You gave my Mother-in-Law, Mrs. [2412], a physical reading and she was very pleased with it. In fact, she followed your instructions and had her operation. However, she is still ill with neuralgia and complains of having pains in her face.

However, in your letter to me, you advise that you cannot give me a reading until the 20th of December. I would not care to wait that length of time, due to the fact, there are matters coming up that I would like to know about now, as I will have some changes that will be affecting me within the next month or so, and that is the reason I wanted a life reading.

However, I can appreciate how busy you are in your profession. Please return my check to me.

Please give my best regards to Mr. [257] the next time you see him.
