GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time with suggestions for further corrective measures, answering the questions, as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here, [243].
-
Conditions are not so good. The cold and congestion and the overtaxation have taken such vital energies from the body-forces that there is a great deal lacking in the abilities of the body to assimilate properly replenishing foods, or replenishing vitality, owing to the weakness in circulation, in heart’s activity, in the liver functioning and the gastric juices of the stomach itself.
-
These, then, leave the body in such a weakened state that it becomes easily susceptible to any activity through contact, through cold, through the breath of others, or from dust or things that may be handled carrying germs of various natures, and there is little resistance in the body. [T.B. incipiency? Pleurisy?]
-
Thus, there should be as much rest taken by the body as practical.
-
Also at least three times each week, take half a teaspoonful of Acigest in a full glass of raw milk, preferably at the evening meal.
-
Not on the same days but also three times each week, preferably at the noon meal, eat a whole wheat cracker spread thinly with Calcios as an addition to the circulation and the ability for the gastric flow to assimilate.
-
At least once or twice a week have the massages.
-
When these properties have been taken for two or three weeks, also begin taking (not before) a level teaspoonful of KalDak, first dissolved in a little hot water and then the glass filled with milk. Stir thoroughly and drink.
-
Do these for better conditions.
-
Unless there is rest taken, this will become serious.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Are my lungs alright? (A) Nothing is alright! If it were, the body would be well!
-
(Q) What makes me ache so under my shoulders and sides? (A) As indicated, the poor circulation and, as it were, the whole body crying out for nourishment.
-
(Q) Please check on my kidneys. (A) Do these things indicated. The kidneys are affected because of the poor eliminations, but with the addition of the acids that will enable the fats to be dissolved in the system to a great measure, the stress will be taken off of the kidneys.
It is well that the body at least once a week take about two ounces of watermelon seed tea. Prepare this by crushing about a teaspoonful of the seeds, putting these in a cup and pouring boiling water over same. Let stand for thirty minutes. Strain, put a piece of ice in it to cool it, and then drink it.
-
(Q) What are those terrible pains from, in toes next small one on each foot, particularly the left one? (A) Poor circulation through the lower limbs. The varicose veins, of course, fail to carry the circulation, thus causing the swelling of limbs and the disturbance of the body.
-
(Q) Is the tonic I am taking the correct tonic for me at this time? (A) Not any too good for the body. If you wish to take it, take it, but it won’t mix very well with what has been given here. A much better tonic in the KalDak is to be taken, a little bit later, but if you feel that you need to take this at this time, go ahead.
-
We are through with this reading.

Reports
Reports & Follow-up
R1. 2/27/44 She wrote: “Thank you for my rdg. I know how busy you are. [340] ordered the medicine. We couldn’t get anything here but watermelon seed. I do so want to feel strong again. I have to just push myself to go, and the minute I have my dinner I go to bed, but I sleep so badly. As soon as I get my medicine I feel that I will be better and stronger. I am truly going to follow the rdg. in every detail… I thought I had suffered with the flu before, but never have I had anything to take so much out of me as the spell of flu I had in December. I just can’t gain any strength.”
R2. 8/6/44 She wrote: “I have really been busy at the store. I am trying to go a little easier, so my legs will hold up on me.”
R3. 8/30/45 She reported on sisters’ rdgs. 482-11 and 340-47.
R4. 7/26/46 She wrote: “I have been home two weeks trying to rest up a bit. I haven’t been quite up to par since I was sick in the Spring. I am hoping to go back to work Monday. I haven’t had much urge to go back, but will try anyway.”
R5. 7/47 Fell, tore ligaments in hip and back.
R6. 10/26/47 She wrote: “I have had such a cold for the last three weeks that I have hardly been well enough to go.”
R7. 2/20/49 She wrote: “I have been not well, having to go to doctors, which I don’t like to do. Have had so much trouble with my ears and sinus, I guess. I went until I was disgusted, didn’t feel any better and spent too much money. So have been doctoring myself and feel some better. You know I have a way of growing older instead of younger, which is bad…[she enclosed contribution, and renewal membership].”
R8. 11/20/49 Sister [340]‘s letter: “[243] has been very sick for two weeks. She was taken with what we thought was a very bad catch in her back, and now it has been diagnosed as acute neuritis of the spine, caused from inactive liver, poor digestion, and a lot of other things including being overworked and overtired. I’ve never seen such tenacity as she possesses. I really feel so very uneasy about her, because she is at an age that it’s not easy to fight such things. Please pray with me for her recovery.”
R9. 12/19/49 She wrote herself: “I still can’t handle my hands very good. I had an acute attack of arthritis in my spine affecting the use of my hands and arms, as well as moving around. The x-ray showed much congestion all through the ribs and stomach, as well as the spine but thanks to my heavenly Father I am on my feet again. I wasn’t well for some time before I had to give up, but kept trying to go until I couldn’t stand up. [340] has been so good to me. She nursed me day and night. She got out all my old readings and worked on me faithfully. The doctor would come and give me treatments, but always the hot packs of Salts and Castor Oil would relieve me most.”
R10. 11/26/50 She reported on brother-in-law’s rdg. 348-25.
R11. 3/9/52 She wrote: “Cousin [486] passed away about ten days ago, leaving me the oldest member of our family, but I am alright.”
R12. 4/15/52 GD’s note: We heard that she had broken her arm.
R13. 5/18/52 She wrote: “I am still not very active in that arm, but I am back at work and for the first time today was able to get in bathtub all by myself, which was great, and am beginning to comb my hair. The Dr. says I have gotten along remarkably well for such a break and my age.”
R14. 10/24/54 She wrote: “I work just as hard now at 75 as I did at 25, so it is necessary for me to be careful so as to conserve my strength.”
R15. 6/26/57 Sister [340] requested prayers at June Congress Study Group meeting, as Miss [243] was being operated on - a critical condition. [Later she told us that a stomach tumor was removed - part of stomach and part of intestine had to be removed, at duodenum. She improved for a while, then began to backslide, and died in the hospital on 7/20/57 p.m.]
