This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 21st day of January, 1941, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [2432], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Miss [951].
[Edgar Cayce; Hugh Lynn Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]
Time of Reading 3:30 to 4:00 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Ohio.
-
HLC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes, we have the body, [2432] and those desires and purposes in seeking information.
-
As we find, there are very good physical conditions in most respects; but there has been that which has hindered - and does hinder - in those desires of the body as related to reproduction. There is a definite disturbance in the body in relation to this; with the mental and the physical reactions as are produced here from time to time.
-
In the MAIN, this condition might be the more thoroughly interpreted for the entity from its life experiences in the earth (that is, through a Life Reading).
-
But these are the conditions as we find them as related to the present physical conditions:
-
In the blood supply we find the nominal reactions, and most of the activities of the hemoglobin negative in reaction.
-
We find in the nerve system a bit of variation in the reactions to the emotions in the physical forces of the body; especially as related to the organs of reproduction. For, the glandular forces in same have that lack of the production in such a manner as to fulfil the complete activity of the ovaries in their charge.
-
Thus we find the physical reactions of the glandular system’s activities, as related to the general physical forces and specifically as to the action in the reproductive organs, are reflected in centers where cerebrospinal and sympathetic nervous systems coordinate; giving off reflections at periods in the locomotory coordination.
-
Hence the periods when there is the acute heaviness in the lumbar axis, and in the brachial centers. These are the PHYSICAL conditions of dis-ease; indicating the nature of disturbance from its source.
-
The activities of the organs as related to the bodily functions are very well in the main. But as we have indicated through these channels, each organ has within itself those glands that make for the ability of the system to assimilate that as will reproduce itself within itself.
-
Here we find the abilities lacking in the physical sense through the organs as related to reproduction.
-
Thus, as we find, in making administrations for those influences as would induce or bring about the corrective forces, - the physical and the mental and the spiritual attitudes must be taken into consideration. And there must be brought about a physical cooperation in the relationships of these influences and activities within the body-force itself.
-
This as we find, from the PHYSICAL angle, may be accomplished in THIS way and manner:
-
First we would begin with taking internally one minim (drop) of Atomidine in half a glass of water each morning before any meal is taken. Do this for five days. Then leave off three days. Then take it again for five days, - only one minim each day. Repeat this procedure for three whole cycles or periods, see?
-
Then, - after the Atomidine has been taken for the three whole cycles as indicated, - begin with mechanical adjustments, osteopathically administered; with special reference to the 4th lumbar, 9th dorsal, and brachial center - or the upper dorsals; and lightly through the cervical area. Take these twice each week until about twelve are taken, in the first series, you see; with a stimulating treatment - in the last three or four - to the centers in the sacral and pelvis, FROM which the ovaries receive their impulse, - or in the brush end of the cerebrospinal centers, and the areas from which the sympathetic system connects with same. In the administering of these osteopathic adjustments, work just opposite from that ordinarily done; that is, work upward from the lumbar and the coccyx areas and sacral plexus, to the upper portion, rather than from the upper portion of the spine downward.
-
After there have been twelve of such adjustments, leave these off.
-
And begin then again with the Atomidine (which would be left off throughout the period of taking the adjustments, you see). Begin again then with taking one minim each day for five days. Leave off for three.
-
Then leave off the Atomidine entirely (for the time being) and take instead a combination of Gold and Soda prepared as we will indicate here:
-
The Gold solution would be in the proportions of one grain Chloride of Gold to one ounce of Distilled Water.
-
The Soda solution would be two grains of Bromide of Soda to one ounce of Distilled Water.
-
Keep these solutions separate; only adding the dosage when ready to be taken.
-
We would take this of evening before retiring; one minim (drop) of the Gold Solution and two minims of the Soda Solution stirred together in half a glass of water. Only combine these when they are to be taken, you see. Take this for five days, leave off three days.
-
And THEN take the Atomidine again; one minim each morning before the meal, for five days, leave off for three.
-
Then repeat the round of the Gold and Soda Solutions, see?
-
Do this until at least three to five rounds of EACH of these have been taken, - that is, three to five rounds of each AFTER the osteopathic adjustments have been taken, you see - the first twelve.
-
After the rounds of taking the properties internally in the manner indicated, - THEN begin AGAIN with the osteopathic adjustments, leaving off the properties when these are begun; and take a series of ten adjustments, you see.
-
And during the period of the last series of ten adjustments, - if all the other properties have been taken and followed in their regular order and manner outlined, - we find that there should be conception.
-
All of these suggestions that have been made are of the physical nature, you see.
-
Throughout this whole period of the physical preparation, we would be mindful as to the diet and the general physical activity.
-
In the diet, - do not overeat of sweets or starches; but have plenty of fruits, nuts and vegetables. The meats should consist only of fish, fowl and lamb - and these not fried. We would RARELY partake of fried foods at all!
-
Do not take over amounts of the foods that would cause any exertions that would upset the digestive system.
-
Then, as to the mental attitude, - in relation to the administration of the properties indicated, and the adjustments given:
-
Each time a dose is taken, see in self that the body is being purified for an expression of the spiritual influences through same. And let this attitude be kept, not as something just to be done, but expectant - and for a purpose, as each quantity or dosage, or treatment, is administered or taken.
-
Let a definite period be set aside each day for entering into meditation. And as ye meditate, first prepare thy body as a clean, perfect channel for the entertaining of the Christ-Consciousness. INVITE, as it were, the Master Jesus to walk and talk with thee; that thy body may be a perfect channel through which there may be the expression of a body, that the soul, the purpose of ONE OF HIS may be entrusted into thy keeping in a material world!
-
As to time, - set this not as a convenience so much, but as a period when ye may commune with thyself. See thy body as the temple of the living God. For it is there that He has promised to meet thee.
-
In that attitude, in that consciousness, seek that He have His way with thee.
-
And if thou art considered a worthy channel for this blessing to come to thee, ye may expect, ye may have that desire. For He is not unmindful of those who seek His face.
-
We are through for the present.

R2. 2/22/41 [2432]‘s letter to EC: “I am mailing you a card. It is the Dr. [Stephen D. Walker, D.O.] I am going to, he is doing just as you have ask and I am sure it will work out as I want it to. I am real thrilled about the whole thing, I know it is going to work out. I would like very much to have a life reading as soon as I have the balance taken care of and are the charges the same. I will be sending some more money as soon as possible thanking you very much…”
R3. 3/31/41 [2432]‘s letter to EC: “I received your mail this a.m. was very glad to get it [Life Reading data?]. It is very interesting and thank you very much. Mr. Cayce I will mail the balance I owe as soon as possible. I have a terrible hurting in my head - not like a headache - like a pressure of some sort - down the back of my neck. I wonder if you can suggest something. Thank you very much…”
R4. 4/2/41 EC’s letter to [2432]: “Have yours of the 31st - don’t like that trouble you are having with your head. Might try another rdg., wouldn’t undertake to say otherwise, think you had better ask your Dr. about that - will be glad to see what may be given if you don’t find relief right away. Please let me know what he decides - won’t you, do trust you will soon be feeling fine again…”
R5. 5/21/41 [2432]‘s letter to EC: “I received your last letter in the hospital. I had to have an operation, pregnant in my tube, the left one.
“I am all fixed up fine now so, as soon as I am able to become pregnant again I will try again.
“Mr. Cayce after my operation my right leg and foot seems to swell, I wonder if I would take my medicine as you suggested in my reading, it would cure it. I would have another reading but I owe you for the last one and my operation was so expensive. I am feeling fine only the swelling in my leg. The Dr. doesn’t seem to be able to know what caused it. I will send you some money as soon as I can. Things seemed to pile up on me.
“Mr. Cayce thank you again for waiting on your money…” (My operation was April 2nd.)
R6. 5/26/41 EC’s letter to [2432]: “Have yours of the 21st - sorry to hear you had to have the operation - thus doing away with the possibilities of conception at this time. Glad however that you are feeling pretty good - there must be a deflected nerve from the operation that causes the swelling - would see the Osteopath where [951] is. Am sure he could help you if that is the trouble - of course Mrs. [2432] will be glad to make an appointment for another rdg. - if you would like to have same just now, but why don’t you try the suggestion. Then come to the Congress with Mrs. [623] and [951] and while you are here will get a rdg. for you. Can’t you do that.
“Will be expecting you to the Congress if possible and if you like will make the appointment for the check up right away - but felt you would like to hear it while here.
“Thanking you and hoping you are getting along fine…”
R7. 2/3/42 [2432]‘s letter to EC: “Received your bulletin this morning and was very happy to still be on your mailing list. I am sorry I have not been able to make full payment on my account with you, but hope to be able to do so in the near future. I still have a bal. of $10.00. Is that correct?
“Since my operation, I have not been feeling so well, but hope to feel better soon. I want another rdg. as soon as I have taken care of the balance I owe you for I still want to have a child. My nerves are bad, Mr. Cayce would it be all right? if I took some atomidine. I still have my medicine that you told me to take and that was some of it. Thanking you again for being so kind and helpful and I only wish I had plenty of money so I could make you a large donation, but I am in the poor class and all I can donate is my good wishes and blessing toward your good work. So many people close their minds to things they do not think right, but can any one person judge another. Mr. Cayce I know of a young man who was in a car accident - has been bed fast for five or six yrs. I wonder if you would send him some of your bulletins. Send him one like you sent me they were Vol. X, No. 11, Vol. X, No. 12, maybe he can get some help. They have tried nearly everything.
“I am only hoping you did not think I had forgotten about you and my reading. I will take care of it in the near future, only wish I had it right now. Thank you again…the young man’s name: Caryle Stockslager, Lewisburg, Ohio, he was hurt while in the Navy…”
R8. 2/6/42 EC’s letter to [2432]: “Thank you very much for yours of the 3rd. Glad to hear from you. Know Mrs. [2432] if we can be of help at this time do not wait for might be able to help you save a lot of time or get straightened out better; know please while we depend on our attempts to help for our livelihood, it is never a case of money - we wish to help if possible each one who has evinced an interest. - 3:30 to 4:30 - will you let me know whether you wish me to undertake it or not - will not unless you say for me to do so.
“Thanks for your suggestion for aid to Mr. Stockslager, think he has had data, would you send him a copy of your Bulletin as had rather the suggestion came from some one who has had an interest in the work.
“Hope you will soon be better. With all good wishes…”

” Mr. Cayce I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the help I have already received from you. [951] told me you were a very wonderful man and I am sure you must be. What this world needs today is more people who are good and kind and really want to be that way.
“I am sorry I have not been able to send you any money but soon I hope I am able to take care of it, I am going to send you some money every time I can. It may not be much at a time but I will take care of it as soon as I can.
“Mr. Cayce my head feels stuffed up and I am so nervous. I hope some time I can talk with you in person. Next Thursday Feb. 12th will be fine. B1. 1/1/40 Letter from [2432] to EC: “I am writing to you for a Physical Reading. Miss [951] referred me to you. I want to tell you first I don’t have the
20.00 cash at the present time but I could send you5.00 at a time if you would care to take the case that way.“I have been trying to have children for the past 15 yrs. and still I don’t have any. I have doctored, but it don’t help any. I have tried everything any one would tell me, but still I don’t have any luck. I am hoping you can tell me why. “I am sorry I don’t have the cash money to send you as everyone needs money these days and if you don’t care to take the case with out the cash money, then I will wait until I can save the money, and write you again, but I am so anxious to find something that will help me. I just couldn’t wait to write to you. I am 32 years old, and [951] is so great full to you for helping her and curing her. She was telling me all about the conventions you hold and maybe I will be able to attend some time. I am hoping to.

B2. 1/15/41 [2432]‘s Letter: “Mr. Cayce I have tried everything and I think I am so full of things that is different kinds of medicine. I feel all run down and nervous. My head aches on top and down the back of my neck. I was real sick with the flu 3 yrs. ago and they gave me some kind of shots in the arm at the time and it left me with that condition, but I am a firm believer in Unity so I have had some help. I have a very strong feeling that some change is coming into my life this yr. I feel this is what I have been looking for. Can you tell me if my health will improve, and if it will be a boy I am hoping so, but any will be welcome. Thanking you very much. God bless you…”
