GC: You will have before you [2464], born January 1, 1917, in New Rochelle, N.Y., now present in this room; together with the information given this entity through this channel March 15, 1941. You will give at this time a detailed biographical account of the entity’s incarnation in Atlantis as a high priestess of the Law of One; giving especially the urges in the present from that experience relating to marriage. You will answer the questions that will be asked:
-
EC: Yes, we have the records of the entity now known as [2464].
-
In giving the interpretation of the records, or a biographical interpretation of the experiences of the entity during the Atlantean sojourn, something of the history and something of conditions at the time should be comprehended, - if the interpretation is to be in the consciousness of the present day experiences.
-
Through that particular period of experiences in Atlantis, the children of the Law of One - including this entity, Rhea (?), as the high priestess - were giving periods to the concentration of thought for the use of the universal forces, through the guidance or direction of the saints (as would be termed today).
-
There are few terms in the present that would indicate the state of consciousness; save that, through the concentration of the group mind of the children of the Law of One, they entered into a fourth-dimensional consciousness - or were absent from the body.
-
Thus they were able to have that experience of crystallizing, through the Light, the speech from what might well be termed the saint realm, to impart understanding and knowledge to the group thus gathered.
-
To be sure, there were those influences apparent in which the children or sons of Belial sought more and more the use, or the interpreting of that spiritual unity into individuals or material things for self-aggrandizement or indulgences without due consideration for the freedom of choice or decision by those who were then, in the physical experience, in that state of evolution of developing their mental abilities for single or separate activity.
-
Thus the great conflicting problems that arose in the experiences of the entity through that period of activity.
-
Among those of the entity’s own group that division had come in which there had arisen the separation of the sexes. There were those who had listened, and who were inclined to listen to the tempting applications made by the sons of Belial. These had made some impressions upon the companion, upon the workers - together with the entity in its choice of the representatives, in the activity among the peoples of that period.
-
Something of the consciousness of the individuals that were in that state of evolution or development might well be interpreted in the language of today, if there is to be a proper interpreting of that influence to be applied by the entity in its choice of companion, of associations, in this present experience.
-
A comparison might be made, that is not a full interpretation but gives something of an idea of the beings that have in some experiences advanced to that activity as may be implied in present day terms.
-
Those individuals who had through their sojourns in the earth as souls pushed into matter as to become separate entities, without the consideration of principle or the ability of self-control, might be compared to the domestic pets of today, - as the present development of the horse, the mule, the dog, the cat.
-
This is not intended to indicate that there is transmigration or transmutation of the soul from animal to human; but the comparison is made as to trait, as to mind, and as to how those so domesticated in the present are dependent upon their masters for that consideration of their material as well as mental welfare, - yet in each there is still the instinct, the predominant nature of that class or group-soul impregnation into which it has pushed itself for self-expression.
-
Hence those interpretations are implied by the characteristics indicated in the name itself, as to the relationships to its group and its dealing in sexual relationships. Hence the terms, - as docile as the horse, as catty as the cat, as stubborn as the mule, or the like. These, then, are merely the indications of the groups that were being used through that period for the activities of the individual entity, as to its application of spiritual and mental universal laws in materiality; the same as in every realm of today.
-
The entity then was the high priestess in authority, or the interpreter to the groups of the messages attained or gained from the periodical meetings with those from the universal realm, for instruction, for direction, for understanding in those periods of activity.
-
Being influenced by the groups or individuals about same, there were those disputations with them as to the purposes of the children of Belial; that these were to be exploited rather than to be made equals with those thus endowed with the spiritual understanding.
-
For, as it remains in the present day: That declaration made and those influences entertained, whether for construction or destruction, depend upon that force upon which the declaration by the entity was made, or that spirit with which the declaration was made or the influences entertained.
-
In other words, with what spirit do ye declare thyself? That in conformity with the universal consciousness, the law of love? Or that of hate, dissension, contention - which brings or produces burdens upon thy fellow associates?
-
For, the law of love is unchangeable; in that as ye do it to the least of thy fellows, ye do it to thy Maker.
-
These are the problems with which the entity was confronted in its activity, in its sojourn through that particular phase of its experience; being tempted by that entity who favored less and less the law of One and became more and more favorable to the sons of Belial.
-
Through the experience the entity maintained its integrity, its justness; yet tempered and tempted, ever.
-
So, in making the application in the present, - in the choice of a companion, an associate, those relationships as may bring about the state, the ability of becoming co-creators or channels for souls’ expression in the earth, - there should be the assurance that they be of one mind, of that of the spirit of truth; that the ideals, the purposes, the hopes are one.
-
That should be the application, - that, as indicated, is the warning - to be sure in thy choice of such.
-
For, to fail in such association as to enable self as well as the association to bring about again the abilities for the entrance of those whose purposes would become self-indulging, those who would forget the truth - or forget the true, the only way - would be to temper self again in the trials that have brought the varied experiences through the material sojourns.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Describe in detail the entity’s work with the White Stone, and present urges from this. (A) This may be well implied from that indicated. The entity as the high priestess was the interpreter of the messages received through the concentration of the group upon the stone from which the oracle spoke from the realm of the saints (as would be termed today), or impressed upon those of that period - the group - the messages of hope, encouragement, endearment, and the necessity of keeping the oneness of purpose.
-
(Q) What has been my past relationship with [2962], what are the urges from this relationship in the present, could marriage bring the best mental and spiritual development for us both? (A) As we find, [2962] was among those of that same period who were of a oneness of purpose. As to whether this was altered by the application of opportunities in other experiences, or brought to a more full awakening such as has come within the entity itself of [2464] in the present, is not indicated here. For, we haven’t the complete record. But such choices should be determined by the entity, as to whether in the present the ideals and the purposes are one or not. If there is the decision that they are, the association or the marriage would be advisable. If there is the decision that the ideals are not one, then it would not be advisable. Not that the approaches need be the same, nor that they think alike about every material thing; but the ideals, the spirit with which ye would do a thing should be the same. This ye shall choose. [4/13/43 Mr. [2962] obtained his Life Rdg.]
-
(Q) Please explain the following paragraph of my Life reading, what is the basis for this symbol or urge: “Hold to those things of the vine - ” etc. (A) This is the symbol, if interpreted aright, of just those principles that have been indicated; as to the manner (or thought) of approach to the perfect understanding, see? as well as of the experience through which the entity passed when it was responsible to self - and to those of its own realm or kingdom - for the interpretation of the fruitfulness as implied by the vine, as well as its import - as its tendrils creep over the column; whether for the purifying or destruction depending upon the manner in which same is designed.
So in thine own life, let those choices of associations, those interpretations of experiences of truth, of light, be much the same.
Also it is the symbol of the entity’s ability as the sculptress to give life, understanding, interpretation of such that it may through its own handiwork depict; as the strength of the vine to hold even the broken column, as well as for some of its beauty to sap the vitality if there becomes the use of the material thing rather than the spirit for which it stands.
These be outlets - as given in this interpretation - not only for the mind itself but for the thought that may be so depicted, so outlined by the hand in the design, in the beauty of such, in its handiwork.
- (Q) Please explain in more detail confusion which apparently arises from the Greek experience. What is meant by the description of the urges “creative forces were manifested through physical and mental as well as material activities of the entity”? (A) In the light of the interpretation and instruction attempted here, this should be interpreted thus:
In the Grecian experience again there was the awareness which has arisen in the present, of the deep significance within self that for the spiritual awakening the mental and material applications become necessary.
-
(Q) What has been my past relationship with the following: Sarah Sheridan? (A) We do not find a response in association or activities. This does not indicate that such has not existed. For, that there is in the present either an attraction or a repelling influence would indicate that there has been an association. But in the present, and from either of the periods we have interpreted that we have before us, we do not find an association.
-
(Q) Ursula Greville? (A) In the Atlantean experience we find that there was a companionate association, in that the entity now called Ursula Greville acted as a healer to the many broken tendrils, the many broken bodies of those who were seeking for the ability to become more and more the channel for the perfect way.
Also in the Grecian experience we find another association, or as one known OF - though not as close an associate as in the Atlantean sojourn.
-
(Q) Marie Wundt? (A) Here we find one aided by the entity in the Atlantean experience.
-
We are through for the present.

R1. 12/5/41 [2464]‘s letter to GD:
Dear Gladys:
How much do I owe Mr. Cayce?
I hope you are all well and happy in Virginia Beach. I’m starting on a clay relief of a head inclosed in tulip leaves
- it isn’t half as exotic as it sounds! [drawing enclosed] Something on that order.
Give my best love to all and many happy thoughts to you
[2464]
R2. 1/42 [2464]‘s letter to EC:
Dear Mr. Cayce:
It has always been my desire to set aside a time for quiet and prayer at the end of the day before sleep. [See 1/8/42 EC’s letter under 2678-1 Background.] My effort in this way, over a period of time has been much rewarded and I have been glad in my heart which, it seemed, was filled with the strength to move mountains.
However in the last two years my effort has weakened and I have become confused with many things in life.
I am writing to you now to tell you, in answer to your plea, that I will redouble my effort to pray from now on.
Very sincerely, [2464]
R3. 1/13/42 [2464]‘s letter to GD:
Dear Gladys;
I’m glad that my little thought has made you so happy. [Gift of 3 little china angels for EC’s “what not” - representing EC; GC; GD.]
The light was for Mrs. Cayce and the Book was for Mr. Cayce although it can be the other way around as Mrs. Cayce has pointed out.
My best love to you all down there and also to T. J. if he is still there.
Love, [2464]
R4. 5/8/43 [2464]‘s letter to EC:
Dear Mr. Cayce:
I am sending you this check in appreciation of all that you have done for me.
Also I am aware that you could use it right now. I have heard that Hugh Lynn is going into the Army - good luck to you and to him.
I would like nothing better than to come and see you but my roots are beginning to take hold in the soil in Wilton and I can’t move! Not yet any way.
My love to you and your wife and to Gladys
Sincerely, [2464]
P.S. If there is anything wrong about the way I made out the check and you can’t cash it would you please let me know - I am not sure that it is right.
R5. 5/17/43 EC’s letter to [2464]:
Dear [2464]
Just a note to say thank you - think this about the loveliest thing as has happened to me in many a day, when we realize those we feel so strongly for appreciate our feeble efforts, it just loosens something with in us, as makes us know the Great Spirit of Love as manifest in the world so torn with strife just now, and we feel very humble yet very happy.
Yes - H. L. is in the Army now, and feel like an old hen that has suddenly had its chickens all taken away from her, and if it wasn’t for the precious little man, his son - our Grandson don’t know just how would make out, don’t some of you folks round there who use a typewriter want a little job for the summer? Sure need a bit of help and haven’t been able to find it here about.
All fairly well here - Miss Gladys had measles about two weeks ago and the Mumps in Jan., as she says, she is in her second childhood. Mrs. C. is very good and does more work than either of us I suspect, she is a wonder, Sally and the baby are fine - H. L. is in the Special Service Unit and Edgar Evans is over seas, his wife is home, and they expect a little stranger in July, what brave little girl she is - her folks live near here and we see her every day or so.
Thanks again, [2464], remember us to each one there, with love from all, [signed] Edgar Cayce
R6. 10/10/46 Friend of [2464]‘s mother, Mr. [2091], wrote that [2464] had married in June 1945 and now had a baby son a few weeks old. She met the young man at a school in Switzerland where she was studying sculpture, among other things. He is a Ph.D., specializing in Greek art and philosophy, very artistic and musical; now a professor teaching the German language and literature.
“[2464] is undoubtedly busy with the baby now but it is to be presumed that she and her husband will one one day fall heir to the … (her mother [2174]‘s) School, both he and she being well fitted to continue it.”
R7. 4/28/70 Mother [2174]‘s letter: “[2464] has married an Austrian scholar and is living in …, Switzerland… I do not see her coming back here. We go to her.”
