This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 20th day of March, 1941, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [2468], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., through Miss Esther Wynne.

Born April 12, 1918, in Ocean View, Norfolk, Virginia. Time of Reading 11:10 to 11:45 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Virginia.

1. HLC: You will give the relation of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the records here of that entity now known as or called [2468].

3. In giving the interpretations of the records as we find them here, these are chosen from the many, - as may be applied in the present experience of the entity, - as a helpful, hopeful influence.

4. Much might be given - of many natures - respecting varied effects latent and manifested in the abilities of the entity, pro and con.

5. Yet, these interpretations may prove to be helpful in the entity’s fulfilling that purpose for which it entered this present experience.

6. Then, in giving this information, - that which is helpful should be stressed, and that as may prove a stumblingstone should be minimized by the entity.

7. For, remember, only the fruit of the spirit beareth that which is creative in the experience here, now, and always.

8. As to urges, - we find the entity under those influences astrologically from Uranus, Mercury, Venus and Saturn.

9. These oftentimes bring those things that are apparently of contradictory natures, in the character of the entity’s activities. At times the entity is very positive and not willing to concede to others (under extreme conditions) that same privilege of thought or activity that is conceded to self. This, with the Uranian influence, brings the extremes in the experience.

10. Thus it is necessary that the abilities through the Uranian mental faculties be manifested in the Venus manner; and to let love rule rather than the dictatorial manner or even questionings.

11. Then, do not demand of others that which ye, yourself, are not willing to abide by - in thy own experience.

12. In Saturn we find the changes that have been and may ever be a part of the entity’s experience; making for that influence which brings about changes in environs, in associations, in the way of thinking, and in the activities as in relationships to many.

13. To be sure, these in themselves bring problems that are to be met with judgement, consideration, and - most of all - the manner in which ye would that others do to thee, do ye even so to them.

14. As ye would be forgiven, so forgive the shortcomings in others - that are oft reflected in self.

15. These be the manners necessary - in the mental and the spiritual urges - for the better relations, the better activities in this material plane.

16. As to the urges arising from former appearances in the earth, - we find that these have been many, yet not all in the immediate have a great deal of relationship to conditions or problems arising in the present experience of the entity.

17. THESE as we will indicate should be sufficient to enable the entity to use same constructively in the present:

18. Before this the entity was in the land of the present nativity, during those early periods when individuals were brought into the land for companionship with the settlers.

19. The entity was of English descent and came as one attempting to escape from conditions that to the entity had become not only questionable but as turmoils within self.

20. The entity was chosen by one very well in keeping with the spirit of the times, as well as the undertakings that were a portion of that period of experience. Because of the lack of some conditions, that arose because of the lack of childbearing, there arose disturbances and disputes.

21. Yet the entity, with the determinations that are a part of the present experience, brought harmony out of the turmoils; by the closer relationships with those influences that were of the spiritual nature.

22. It required time, patience and persistence; for the entity adopted the role of the teacher-nurse, or what would be called in the present the practical nursing.

23. Then the name was Leslie Murdson, - changed, in the relationships, to that of Drake.

24. Though there were turmoils in the material relationships, there were developments in the experience mentally and spiritually. For, later those of the entity’s own family bought expansions to the activities in that new chosen land.

25. Before that the entity was in the Holy Land, during those periods when the Master walked in the earth. The entity knew of and knew the acquaintances of the Master, though very young in years. For the entity was among those blessed by the Master at that period of the feeding of the five thousand in the mount. But the entity followed oft rather those urges for the activities that were questioned by many of those of that period. Yet with the persecutions as arose, the entity rather made the greater contribution in aiding those who were of the faith to keep those periods that brought the helpful and hopeful influences into the experience of the individuals who were weak at times through that period of persecution.

26. Throughout that period, then, the entity gained; save during the periods of questionings. Yet we see latent urges from the Uranian sojourn, as well as Saturn, in its companionships, its relationships, its activities, its hopes, its desires, its purposes from the mental and material angles.

27. The name then was Durey.

28. Before that the entity was in the Persian land, during those periods when peoples were brought in as chattels, or as servants, from other lands.

29. For, the entity then was one of the royal family, being the wife of the king during that experience; knowing then much of the madness of Nebuchadnezzar as well as of the sojourns of the peoples under bondage.

30. Those were periods that will be expressive in the present experiences of the entity; that those things of material security, that are of the worldly nature, are the less secure than friends and spiritual peace, - spiritual peace from knowing that there is that activity in the relationships to individuals, no matter what their position in life may be, - that ye should do to them as ye would desire to be done to thee if circumstances were altered, or reversed.

31. Those lessons learned then by the entity, even from those who were servants to the entity, may be those that may keep the balance in the experiences through this present sojourn.

32. Also the abilities or activities as a nurse, - or as a hairdresser, arise from those experiences of the entity there, - through that sojourn.

33. The name then was Sczeldhardi. In the experience the entity suffered mentally, the entity was exalted materially, the entity sought gratification of self’s own indulgences; and yet in the later portion the entity gained through trouble, turmoil, and the deposing of the powers - with the madness of the companion.

34. Before that the entity was in the Egyptian land, through those periods when there were the reconstructions and purifications, - when others, as well as self, passed through the periods of regeneration in the Temple of Sacrifice as well as the Temple Beautiful, in preparing the body for those expressions through which there might be manifested the more creditable, the more pure, the more perfect race.

35. There again the entity gave expression to the being of a helpful influence in the experience of others, by counsel, by activities in nursing - by attending those disturbed by the changes being wrought in their bodies and in their expressions, as well as being able to quiet them by the massage and by the hairdress.

36. For, THAT became a real period of activity - in hairdress, because of the activities of the entity there.

37. The name then was Ist-Eldean.

38. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, then, - we find that these are in many directions; yet that as was sought the more, with little expression given in same as a service, is the home - and the greater abilities may be expressed there during the present sojourn. While activities of a beneficial nature in material ways may be had as a nurse, or as a hairdresser or the like, we find that - for the greater success, the greater achievements in this material plane - these had best be expressed rather as hobbies of the entity rather than as a vocation. Thus these may be used as means of expression. But find in the home, in the companionships of home, that outlet for the expressing of that help as ye gave through those periods in the promised land; those lessons ye learned as the queen in the Persian land, and those truths ye manifested in the Egyptian land.

39. Let thy yeas be yea, yes - but self-effacement is the better part of valor, for the attaining - not of that as desired for self but of that necessary for being a channel of blessings to others.

40. Then, let the spirit of truth direct, - in the things ye do, the things ye say.

41. Ready for questions.

42. (Q) What should I do now in relation to my husband, [5001]? Should I seek a reconciliation or accept a divorce? Should I enter a countersuit? (A) DO NOT enter a countersuit. Seek reconciliation, - if that is desired in self; not as to attain that over which the disturbance was caused, but to attain that necessary for you to be the better channel, as a helpmeet one for the other.

43. (Q) Does he love me enough to treat me kindly, should I go back to him? (A) DO ye love him enough, you’d better ask! Do ye love him enough to want to do that ye would demand of him, or to bring again into the experience that as brought thee together?

Do not question him. Rather question the self, as to whether or not ye are capable or worthy of the love that would bring the harmony into the experience of each.

44. (Q) For what did I come into this experience? (A) To glorify the spirit of truth!

45. (Q) What is my seal, its colors and interpretation? (A) These do not mean much here. Rather would there be the symbol as of the Persian king.

46. (Q) Any special color or jewelry I should wear? (A) As to colors, - mauve and blue. As to jewelry, - little.

47. (Q) Please give me some spiritual advice that will help me at this time. (A) DO NOT condemn - self or others; if ye would live in harmony, in peace with others.

KNOW thy ideal - and the author of same. Then LIVE that ideal!

R3. GD’s report: A few years later [after her own Life Rdg. and shortly after his Life Rdg.] she did divorce her husband [5001] and remarried. I understand she has several other children, by her second marriage. He also remarried.
