This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 12th day of June, 1941, in accordance with request made by the friend - Mr. […], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

St. Luke’s Hospital, Time of Reading Room 144 East, 3:50 to 4:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time. Shaker Heights, Cleveland, Ohio.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, giving the cause, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, that may be asked:

2. EC: Yes.

3. As we find, conditions are rather serious. There are both physical and mental disturbances. And most of the mental disturbances arise from self-condemnation, until - through the abuse of self - it is given influence and power over the whole of the body.

4. We find that there MAY be help, - if there will be that coordination which will increase that influence in the physical force as may aid in restoring the nerve forces in the body; THEN directing same through the power of mind and suggestion, led by the spiritual forces in those who would cooperate in bringing such influence into the experience of the body.

5. Carry, then, the metallic forces of Gold into the body vibratorially through the B-Battery Appliance. This Appliance would be prepared with two wires, lead wires or lead tubing. The negative connection would pass through the Gold Solution (the proportions being one grain Chloride to each ounce of Distilled Water - one grain Chloride of Gold to each ounce of Distilled Water, and use at least four ounces. The negative plate to be attached to the body would be made of nickel, at least the size of a fifty cent piece. This nickel plate (with the wire passing through the Gold Solution, so as to build up the charge in same) would be attached to the lacteal duct plexus. The positive connection, with a copper plate the size of a nickel or a quarter, would be attached to the upper portion of the 9th dorsal vertebra. Make such attachments for at least thirty minutes each day for fifteen days. Then change the Gold Solution, - renewing it, you see, - and begin again.

6. At the very time of attaching the Appliance, begin - after fifteen days of using the Appliance, you see - with the group prayer coordination with the body-forces.

7. These vibrations will allow for better physical reactions in other portions of the body, and the better response to the administrations being made; for the pulsation, the conditions through the digestive forces, and aid in blood supply.

Mr. […] [atty.] was in Cleveland over the week-end, so I have been unable to contact him as yet. I hope that some way may ultimately be found to have these parties meet you in Va. Beach. Many thanks for what you have done. Will advise you of any new developments.”

Dear Mr. Cayce:-

You will recall the readings made for me on behalf of Mr. [2478]. Except for the transmission of them to a mutual friend I have no knowledge of their use. However, Mr. [2478] did return to his work and his home around the first of this year and visited this office several weeks ago at which time I had a very pleasant chat with him. He seems to have fully recovered. I have never had occasion to discuss your work with him personally, but still have hopes of doing so at some future time…
