This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 2nd day of February, 1942, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [2491], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes.

3. While conditions appear little changed, we find that there have been resistances builded. Without these there would not have been the ability to maintain any sort of an equilibrium, or even an activity of physical consciousness.

4. We would continue with the use of the Appliance as indicated. Do keep the anodes a little brighter, and the connections a little more in contact.

5. Do keep closer to the diets that have been indicated. While this becomes very aggravating, owing to some conditions and surroundings, and the attitudes of individuals, we find that this is necessary - if there is to be given the greater opportunities in the activities for the body.

6. The dizziness and those recurrent conditions of weakness come from the inability of the circulation, or heart’s activity, to function through the tautness in the extremities, as well as in and about the shoulders, the neck and the head.

7. Here - that is, the shoulders, the back of the neck and the spinal column - we would occasionally, say once a week, massage with this combination of oils (and on that day leave off the other rub, see, that has been indicated, but continue in the same manner except for that one day when this rub is given):

8. To 4 ounces of Russian White Oil, Usoline or Nujol as the base, add - in the order named:

Oil of Mustard…1/4 ounce, Oil of Sassafras…1/2 ounce, Oil of Pine Needles…1 ounce, Compound Tincture of Benzoin…1/2 ounce.

These will tend to separate and portions to rise on top. But shake together and then pour a small quantity into an open saucer. Dip fingers in same and massage thoroughly. Best that the one making the massage put a gauze over the face, and use rubber gloves. For these are rather severe, you see.

9. Do these for the better condition of this body.

11. (Q) What causes and what may be done for the swelling of face, especially under eyes? (A) The massage in the shoulders and the neck should allay, or bring about better lymph circulation.

12. (Q) Have all former treatments been given correctly, and should they be continued? (A) As indicated, continue all, - merely adding the new rub as indicated here. It is necessary that greater precautions be taken, as indicated, especially as to the connections and the cleansing of the Appliance, and mostly as to the diet and the attitude of the body and those about same.

13. (Q) What about osteopathic treatments? (A) These are very well.

14. (Q) What should be done for constipation? (A) Enemas.
