This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 14th day of October, 1930, in accordance with request made by self and those in charge.

Time of Reading Cayce Hospital, 3:55 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. Virginia Beach, Va. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: We have the body here, [2504] - this we have had before. Changes are for the betterment are apparent in the physical forces of the body. However, there are conditions - as is seen, as is produced from the tendency for hindered circulation - that is, unless altered or changed, will not be for the better physical forces. These, as we find, have to do with that of the SYMPATHETIC, or of the circulation through the lymph TO the brain proper, and the effect as may be created - especially in the locomotary centers, in those of the lower extremities, in that of the brachial center. These are not at all times satisfactory.

2. We would, when there are the tendencies for the reaction, bathe those points - or centers - with an equal portion of tincture iodine and aconite, applying over same an oiled cloth in sweet oil; then applying mechanical or pad heat. This will produce a tendency for an equalization in these particular centers.

3. The rest we would keep near in the normal manner. In at least two to three weeks we should see decided changes, are the conditions kept intact. Ready for questions.

4. (Q) Is there anything else the body can do to assist in bringing about the desired results? (A) That physically as has been outlined is being applied. Will they apply these as given, as may keep the physical, the MENTAL and spiritual may have more influence through the holding OF those forces in same as bring for the psychopathic effect in body.

This agreement made this thirtieth (30th) day of October, nineteen hundred and thirty (1930), between the Association of National Investigators, Incorporated, and Cayce Hospital, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, as party of the first part, and [2504] of …, Virginia, party of the second part; WHEREAS:

The party of the second part claims a grievance, in that certain injections were given him by the staff of the Cayce Hospital, and also certain oil treatments, and other grievances not mentioned herein, all of which are denied by the said party of the first part. [5/5/34 See EC’s letter under 531-3 Par. R2 in re spinal injection given Mr. [2504] which he felt immediately set back his progress.]

To reach an amicable adjustment of these matters, the party of the first part agrees to permit the said [2504] at his own risk in every way, to remain in the Cayce Hospital, free of charge, until January first (1st) nineteen hundred and thirty one (1931); this to be board and room and the use of any equipment in said hospital pertaining to his treatments, inclusive of medical or osteopathic attention. It is understood treatments will be furnished if and when physicians to administer same are in charge of the Hospital, and said [2504] may remain at the Hospital at his own risk during the present time while such physician or physicians are not in charge or at any other time when no physicians are not in charge, during the life of this agreement, completely at his own risk and of his own free will and accord.

The said party of the first part may decide to close the Hospital at any time, in which case the said [2504] will leave the Hospital by the time the Hospital is declared to be closed. If the Hospital should be closed, the party of the first part will pay to the said [2504] at the rate of one hundred dollars ($100) per month for the time the Hospital should be closed up to January first (1st) nineteen hundred and thirty one (1931).

In case the Hospital should remain open, and have on its staff doctors, the said [2504] would have the privilege to be treated at his own risk by these doctors, assistants, or nurses, on the same general conditions as govern other patients.

In consideration of the aforesaid conditions, the said [2504] for himself, his heirs, and his assigns, hereby and herewith releases the said party of the first part, all of its employees, its staff, assistants, officers, members, or anyone in anyway connected therewith, from all liability, damage, cause for action of whatsoever nature, kind or description, and furthermore agrees that in remaining in the said Hospital he does so at his own risk and releases the party of the first part, all its employees, staff, officers, or members, of any and all liability of whatsoever nature, kind or description during the aforesaid sojourn.
