This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 30th day of January, 1938, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [257], Active Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

1. EC: We have the body, the environs, the surroundings; those conditions from which the body has been and is somewhat anxious.

2. As we find, these conditions arise from the general strain that is produced in the alimentary canal, especially in that area about the second sphincter center - when rare or red meats or beer or fermented drinks are taken.

3. And as has been indicated, this should be refrained from; and there should be taken sufficient of the cabinet or sweat baths so that the poisons from the conditions are eliminated in the superficial circulation - then all of these symptoms will disappear.

4. Because of the fact that there would be the better conditions from the rubdowns as would be gained, these had best be taken as at Reilly’s - if done systematically. But to take them just hit or miss is not well, at least until the conditions are in a state of subjugation.

5. Take a series; at least once a week for three to four weeks; and then have them regularly once a month.

6. And if these are kept, and there is consideration given respecting the diets, we should not have any return of this until there are indiscretions that tend to bring same about.

7. In taking the massage and the rub, occasionally - once a month - we would take the general electric treatment given as an electric massage. This will tend to heal more those conditions through the abdomen and through the colon area.

8. When there is a showing of blood from the stool or rectum, use Tim WITH the tube injecting; and take the exercise for same; that is: the rising on the toes and extending the arms high above the head, very slowly.

9. These we find will bring and make for better conditions.

11. (Q) Is there any obstruction in the intestinal tract? (A) None as we find save those strains.

12. (Q) Is there any particular danger to the health because of the blood showing from time to time? (A) If the precautions are taken, no; and there should be, of course, measures taken to reduce disturbances from same. Allowed to remain without such care, then it may grow to something disturbing.

13. (Q) Can the discharge of blood be permanently stopped, and how? (A) Do as has been indicated, and it may be permanently stopped - if the causes are removed.

R1. 1/30/38 P.M. He wrote: “I hope you did not strain yourself for the rdg. In the past 2 weeks I’ve drunk nothing and no blood showed, but if there is something there I want to see if I can correct it.”

The rdg. arrived on Mon. and the blood arrived on Sun. and for the last 2-3 days it is showing again. It probably is a nervous irritation and altho I have no pain from it, it worries me just the same. I took a tr. from Reilly last Sat. and that may have started it again. I will follow the rdg. and see if I can’t get it straightened out.”

R8. 3/1/73 Carolyn Bryan, 4200 Mapleview Dr., Dayton, Ohio 45432, A.R.E. Member wrote: “For 2 wks. I had continuing discomfort with hemorrhoids, obtaining no relief with the current ointments available. I sent for TIM ointment and within the hour of the first application the pain was relieved. After 24 hrs. I was having no recurrence. I am faithfully using the ointment and the exercises Cayce recommended for this condition, keeping in mind he said this could CURE the condition. I have been on the regime only 4 days and am having no pain or any noticeable problem whatsoever. It is fascinating to read about the Cayce work, but how thrilling it is to put it in action!”
