GC: You will have before you the body and enquiring mind of [2593], now at The Commodore Hotel, New York City, and his request, which I hold in my hand, for information as to the missing papers in regard to the family lineages, descendants of Lord Berkley and others, on which Francis E. Snypp, Osborn, Ohio, was working when he died suddenly of a stroke on Oct. 20, 1938. All the papers are in hand to complete the work and get the matter closed except the ones most important giving name of parties with whom he was dealing in either N.Y. or Washington. These papers disappeared at the time of his death. Please give any information or advice that will help [2593] to complete the work and get the matter closed. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes, we have the enquiring mind, [2593].
-
In regards these papers, here we meet with conflicting influences - that appear from innate desires on the part of those in the cosmic or interbetween.
-
The papers are intact, but with those who have personal reasons, as may be indicated by requests that will come about in the near future.
-
Those with whom the entity was dealing were in Washington - with associates of the Library of Congress. THERE data may be found. Seek there, and through that one in the present, today, handling the genealogical research.
-
Ready for questions.
-
To meet such conditions at times, it is not well that this entity - Edgar Cayce - enter such conditions, if there is to be the continued attempt to carry on helpful spiritual forces; lest there be an overpowering influence from those disincarnate influences to the body, Edgar Cayce.
-
Beware, lest ye be tempted.
-
There will come a request from a woman. There may be found data with that one in charge today in Washington.
-
We are through for the present.

Reports
Reports & Follow-up
R1. 9/28/41 Letter: “Your prompt reply received and many thanks. Of course am a bit disappointed but that has been the way all through this search. I will give you a little outline of this affair. This Mr. Snypp did have connections thru Library of Congress. This was to aid in his genealogical work, but all that was completed and he was ready to sell his papers to some big interest. He claimed Rockefeller and Melon but he was apparently dealing thru a firm of attorneys, but he claimed it was such a confidential matter he would divulge it to no one. An old heirloom carpet bag is supposed to contain instructions and an old lease that disappeared at time of his death. His secretary knew only about the lineages which she helped him compile. He had the certified legal proof of some 5,000 people, a most complete record that will stand up in court. It required some 8 years to get together.”
R2. 2/12/42 Mr. [2593] inquired about a Physical Rdg. for a sick friend and said:
“The other matter I asked you about while in N.Y. is gradually unravelling.”
