This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 22nd day of October, 1941, in accordance with request made by the mother - Mrs. […], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., through Mrs. Agnes M. Sanford, recommended by Mrs. A. L. Eggleston.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here.

3. In giving the interpretations of the disturbances which exist here, many things, many phases of man’s experiences, of the physical activities, of mental and material manifestations, might be indicated or illustrated.

4. All the care, all the help that may be given will not be amiss for those about the body.

5. That there is lack of the full completion of physical manifestations is indicated from the lack of coordination in the mental and the physical forces of the body.

6. Each day we would use oils as a massage; one day the Oil of Lobelia, the next day Pure Peanut Oil.

7. The Oil or Lobelia would be massaged only from the base of the brain to the higher point of the cervical area - or to the 3rd, 4th or 5th cervical. Not too much of this, but gently massaged - so as to be absorbed - to the joint of the shoulders, see?

8. The Peanut Oil would be massaged more particularly along the whole area of the spine, from the base of the brain along the spinal column to the end of the spine; gently, thoroughly, all the body will absorb. Also massage this across the diaphragm and the abdominal area.

9. Also we would use the low Wet Cell Appliance carrying alternately the Gold and Camphor, one used one day, the other the next; making the attachment each day for twenty minutes, one day with the Gold, the next day with the Camphor.

10. When using the Gold (in the proportions of one grain to each ounce of Distilled Water - and use at least six ounces), - the copper plate would be attached to the 9th dorsal center, while the larger nickel plate - through which the Gold Solution passes vibratorially - would be attached to the umbilical and lacteal duct plexus; which will be one finger from the navel center to the right, two fingers up, on this body.

11. When using the Camphor (Spirits of Camphor, commercial strength - 6 ounces), - attach the copper plate to the 2nd and 3rd dorsal center, while the nickel plate - through which the Camphor passes vibratorially - would be attached also the to umbilical and lacteal duct plexus, the same as with the Gold.

12. Change each of these solutions every thirty days (that is, after fifteen treatments with each, you see). Also re-charge the Appliance every thirty days.

13. Each day, as the applications are made, let it be at periods when the body rests or sleeps. Do these with, prayerful expectancy.

14. Doing these physical administrations, with prayer - and with those healing vibrations as may come from such an one who has administered these to the body, we may bring responses.

15. In ninety days we would given further instructions.

16. Ready for questions.

17. (Q) Any advice regarding diet? (A) This is very well, and will be changed as the body and mental developments progress.

Do these as indicated in the present.

As oft as practical have the prayer and the laying on of hands. This should be through the 9th dorsal and the FRONTAL portion of head.

18. (Q) What produced this condition? (A) These questions are to be left.

Much might be given, but these conditions are being met. Do not trouble their minds, but keep the Christ-Consciousness. All healing comes through spiritual forces.

Dear Mr. Cayce,

I was very happy and thankful to receive your report on my son so speedily. I am delighted with the “reading” and feel that it will benefit him. I expect to follow the instructions fully as soon as I have all the necessary articles (?). I have forwarded the copy to Mr. Godfrey so he may prepare the Wet cell Appliance for us. So far, I have been unable to find a place to purchase either the Pure Peanut Oil or the Oil of Lobelia but my druggist promises to inquire about them. [See 303-27, Par. 21-A trying to locate.] Mr. Sanford was up to my house Saturday and was pleased with the “reading”.

Dear Mr Cayce,

I have read the report [1/8/42 EC’s ltr., see under 2678-1, Background] and I will be glad to set aside a few moments each day in prayer for Divine Guidance.

My son [2606] has received benefit from the use of the appliance with God’s help. He will start his third month of treatments the 2nd of Feb. He did not receive any treatment for three weeks as he was sick. We are endeavoring to do anything as instructed in the reading.

R3. 3/22/42 [2606]‘s Parent’s ltr. to EC:

Dear Mr. Cayce:

[2606] has now finished the required amount of treatments. We would like to report that he seems to be doing very nicely. We can see improvement in the interest he takes in things and also in his eating. He still has to be fed strained food but he is now eating home cooked food and a much larger variety of foods than ever before. He seems to have improved some physically and looks as if he has gained a little weight but still is quite susceptible to colds and his breathing at night is not quite normal yet. He has now been walking a year and while he is walking better all the time he still is not as steady on his feet as he should be. He is not talking yet but we believe he is trying. We had quite a bit of difficulty in getting the Lobelia Oil so he has only had the benefit of massaging for about two months. We have sincerely tried to follow the instructions given in your last reading and if we are making any errors either in using the wet cell, mixing the solution or in the massaging we would appreciate your calling these to our attention in this check reading as we would like to see him make more rapid progress.

If you can tell us what to do to hasten his talking and to help him to walk in a more normal manner as well as to awaken him mentally we will try to do as you advise.

We had hoped for a bigger step ahead than he has shown but we are very grateful for the improvement that we can see and we would appreciate it if you could tell us in the check reading of any improvements that have taken place that are still invisible (as for instance mentality).

We thank you for your interest in our son and please let us know when you will give the check reading.

B1. Little 3 yr. old [2606], born undeveloped - doctors advised the mother to not try to keep him alive - no use; but she has carefully nurtured the child and feels he is going to respond.
