Date: 2/14/1937 Sex: M ReadingID: 1486

This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the Edmonds” home on Pennsylvania Ave., Norfolk, Va., this 14th day of February, 1937, in accordance with request by those present.

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Esther Wynne, Hannah Miller, Florence & Edith Edmonds, Hugh Lynn Cayce, Helen Storey and Helen Ellington.]

Time of Reading 3:00 to 3:05 P. M.

  1. GC: You will have before you Norfolk Study Group #1, members of which are present here, and you will continue on the lesson Wisdom; answering the questions that may be asked.

  2. EC: Yes, we have the group as gathered here, as a group, as individuals, and their work upon the lesson Wisdom.

  3. In continuing with the subject, first we would admonish each that you apply yourselves that you would give to others regarding the subject. Preach not that which you would not yourself practice. Do not insist upon others trying that in their experience ye have not tried. And each of you finds this means YOU - if ye will but look into thine own heart! Not that any would be condemned, for ye go part the way but not all; else ye would never hear a grumble from any.

  4. TRY in thine own experience, each; that ye speak not for ONE WHOLE DAY unkindly of any; that ye say not a harsh word to any, about any; and see what a day would bring to you the next lesson, HAPPINESS.

  5. This should be a crowning of that ye each have gained, if ye apply Wisdom as has been shown you.

  6. The next lesson after HAPPINESS is SPIRIT - and if ye finish it this year you will do well!

  7. HAPPINESS:

  8. OUR FATHER, OUR GOD, IN MY OWN CONSCIOUSNESS LET ME FIND HAPPINESS IN THE LOVE OF THEE, FOR THE LOVE I BEAR TOWARD MY FELLOW MAN. LET MY LIFE, MY WORDS, MY DEEDS, BRING THE JOY AND HAPPINESS OF THE LORD IN JESUS TO EACH I MEET DAY BY DAY.

  9. We are through.
