Time of Reading Pennsylvania Ave., 4:10 to 4:25 P. M. Norfolk, Virginia.

  1. GC: You will have before you the Norfolk Study Group #1, members of which are present in this room; also a copy of the Lesson, The Lord Thy God Is One, which I hold in my hand. You will go over this lesson as I call each paragraph, making such suggestions for change or additions that would more completely express the truth we are trying to convey. You will answer the questions which will be asked.

  2. EC: Yes, we have the group as gathered here, as a group, as individuals. Also the work, the lesson that has been prepared by members of the group.

  3. Ready for questions.

(Answer “Very good” to each par., from 1 through 32.)

  1. (Q) Please give us the affirmation for the lesson on “Love.” (A) OUR FATHER, THROUGH THE LOVE THAT THOU HAST MANIFESTED IN THE WORLD THROUGH THY SON, THE CHRIST, MAKE US MORE AWARE OF “GOD IS LOVE”.

In the preparation, then, for the study of self that each has manifested in their lives, through the varied experiences that have been theirs in the preparation of the lessons, there has been brought to each a better concept of the Father, of the Son, and of why He, the Son, came into the earth that we as sons of God might have the access to the throne of mercy, grace, peace and pardon through the Son; and through His life in the experiences of each manifesting these in our own lives.

For, he that would expect mercy must show mercy to his fellow man; he that would find peace and harmony in the love of God must show love, peace, harmony, with his fellow man.

And, as each individual has had its own problems, its own experiences, in reaching this understanding in the study and preparation of self in giving truth, light, the words of life even, for others, so may each in the preparation of this present lesson find love that passeth understanding; peace, as He gives peace; love, as He gave love.

For, if each will prepare themselves they may in THIS lesson find Him as a brother that would speak with them.

For, His promises are sure; even as He gave, “I will not leave thee comfortless, but will come to you.”

“If ye love me, KEEP my commandments - that I may abide with you,” and through YOU shed abroad the light, the Love of God, unto the sons of men!

  1. We are through.
