This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 18th day of January, 1935, was volunteered at the end of a physical rdg. [795-1], for a little girl in Detroit, Michigan, after suggestion had been given for waking Edgar Cayce.

1. EC: It would be very interesting for those who are going about to make a collection of such things to notice the vibrations and variations in vibrations of various cities [Detroit], or those conditions that make for the abilities of the proper association or connections through the mental activities of individuals in relationship to information of such natures.

2. As has been seen from here, what has been given as to the influences or forces that should be combined through periods of activity - or a certain element for a combination of the mental influences and forces - is not irrelevant to the better influences for this particular individual or body at this time. But the attitudes, desires not only of those surrounding or seeking information but of the one who is receptive - or to act in the capacity of being receptive for such things - these are well in the present.

[GD’s note: The second paragraph seems to be referring to Edgar Cayce’s physical and mental condition, also to those closely surrounding him during the readings - particularly to Gertrude Cayce in this instance.

Could this also be referring to 262-71 which indicated that Halaliel was being sent to the group through their own desires? All the rest of the readings seemed to be counseling the group AGAINST accepting any other sign or guide along the way except Jesus, the Christ.

Now 262-76 is seeming to say that the obstruction in the mind of Edgar Cayce and those around him has been removed, and that all is well. In my mind the above seems to be somewhat of an apology for the allowing of such interferences to enter from time to time.]
