GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2649].
-
As we find, there are disturbing conditions that prevent the better physical functionings. While the conditions are rather acute in the present, we find that these arise primarily from a constitutional or a long standing disorder.
-
These, as we find, have more to do with the digestive influences in the present. For, there has been caused an expansion - from the lacerations and the inflammation in the pyloric portion of the stomach itself.
-
Thus, throughout the duodenum there is a great deal of anxiety, the inability to retain foods; for there is a great deal of uneasiness throughout the whole area.
-
The acute condition arises from congestion, from some cold, as combined with the general condition from which there have been the greater disturbances.
-
In the present we find that there should be given a thorough relaxation osteopathically; this with the special reference to setting up drainages from the stomach AND duodenum. Especially stimulate, then, those areas in the 4th, 5th and 6th dorsal, with a GENERAL reaction to the secondary cardiac centers.
-
Give the body internally the Yellow Saffron Tea. This would be made by putting a teaspoonful of the American Saffron in a crock (as a teapot) and pouring a pint of boiling water over it, allowing it to steep for at least five to ten minutes. Drain off or strain, and use this quantity during a twelve hour period - taking it when water is desired. And drink plenty of water!
-
The diet should consist principally of broths and beef juice, with milk or soft toast and the like.
-
Do these, and the body should within a few days regain strength.
-
But continue the osteopathic adjustments, also the aid to the gastric flow (the Saffron Tea), until the disturbances are eliminated.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) How often should the osteopathic manipulations be given? (A) About every other day until at least ten or twelve are given; rest from them a period of some two weeks, and then take six to ten more.
-
(Q) Who would you recommend to give these? (A) Richardson.
-
(Q) Will this treatment relieve the condition referred to as being existent in the pylorus? (A) This is what it is given for! For, you see, there is a swelling there in the present; and the osteopathic relaxation followed by the adjustments, with the relaxing with the properties indicated, should allow these conditions to pass away.
-
We are through for the present.

Reports & Follow-up
R1. 7/26/44 Mr. [2649] and his wife requested a Physical Rdg., for her brother-in-law, Mr. [4025], also via Mrs. [845], an employee of Mr. [2649].
R2. 10/21/57 Letter from Mrs. [845]:
RE: [2649]:
This reading was fully carried out - and I do mean OUT. He was frantic and his wife was frantic, and I made no bones about telling him ahead that the reading must be followed or I would have no part in even making the appointment. Of course, friends and family entered in and after he had begun to improve, demanded that he have a complete physical check up. I recommended Dr. Ober for him because I was afraid that he and Dr. Richardson would clash temperamentally. As of now, I feel quite sure they would get along famously. Mr. [2649] was impressed with Dr. Ober from the very start and asked him for a complete check-up. I’m sure Dr. Ober didn’t know anything about a reading. However, his diagnosis compared perfectly with the reading and I recall he charged him
35.00 for it. Mr. [2649] told me he felt relieved on getting the check-up and I recall retorting that I was glad he had reassured himself, but had it been me, I'd have saved the35.00. Over the years, he has gone to Dr. Ober for treatments, and they have always afforded relief. A few years ago he had some sciatica and some trouble with the sacro-iliac about a year ago. He is now wearing a type of girdle or belt for the sacro-iliac and seems to be doing fine.Several years ago, someone spoke disparagingly of osteopathy and he took exactly five seconds flat to straighten them out. Therefore, I am personally grateful for that particular reading having been given. I KNOW IT DID GOOD, DOES GOOD AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO GOOD.
R3. 11/3/70 Newspaper article in re his son indicated that Mr. [2649] was deceased.
