This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 19th day of June, 1928, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [2652] via Mrs. C. W. Dillman.

[Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Mr. L. B. Cayce and Dr. Thos. B. House.]

Time of Reading 11:20 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. …, Pa.

  1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.

  2. EC: Yes, we have the body here.

  3. Now, regarding the physical conditions of this body, many conditions may be given that are manifesting in an unusual manner; that is, the conditions existent - and the effects as are produced in the physical system - are not in keeping, as would be looked for by one studying the body pathologically, nor are there reactions from materia medica that would be expected from that apparent in the physical conditions. In THIS manner conditions are unusual.

  4. In the physical, the mental, the spiritual development of the body, THESE are unusual; that is, they are far from ordinary. Not that there are such PECULIARITIES, but there are - from the study of a development through the application of the mental being with the physical forces of the body - unusual reactions. Hence, as seen, the combination of conditions out of the ordinary.

  5. In the purely pathological or physical conditions: We find a body rather unactive in sympathetic nerve reaction. Rather a forced or impelled condition than normal. One that in the reaction through such forces contains self, and - when there is studied that as is producing such conditions, from this as has been shown, the condition pathologically or to be meted physically would be better understood. The basic principle of condition in system may be termed that of the condition as is produced from the presence of that in the system that may be called that of the nature, not of pure congestion, not solely of lack of elimination, not solely a lack of assimilation, but that which is as BETWEEN the reaction of both - see? Hence the effect as is produced in the system in various portions of the system from time to time. That is, once we will find this condition affects the body in digestive system. Again we will find nerve ends and tissue involved in same, appearing then in a form of neurotic, neuritis, or rheumatic, as has been called by others; yet, as we find, these are not true conditions for this system. Rather would it be termed that as is the COMBINATION, or the inter-between, of these conditions; or that which causes this reaction in the system in the manner as is indicated. Hence improper vibrations are set up in the system; and then to meet these, or to bring about the more near normal functioning, would be to add to the system those conditions that would bring the nearer proper vibration and sufficient of the stimulation over the nerve centers as to cause proper incentive for the nominal reaction radiated from such nerve centers and plexuses. Hence we would use those vibrations as are set up in the Radio-Active Appliance, using that wherein the VIBRATIONS from properties are carried to the system. One day using that of the muriated iron in solution that may be carried to the system. The next day using that of spirits of camphor.

  6. The osteopathic manipulation should be given at least every third day.

  7. Keep up these for at least thirty days - the vibratory forces from the Radio-Active forces, as given, and the osteopathic manipulations - and we will find the nearer normal reaction for this body, [2652].

  8. In applying the Radio-Active Appliance: The SMALLER plate should be attached to wrist when using the camphor, and to the ANKLE when using the iron. The larger plate, in both instances, attached near the umbilicus, to the left and UP - see? For the camphor to the RIGHT, and lower for the iron.

  9. (Q) How long at a time should this be applied? (A) One hour when the body lies down to rest. PREFERABLY this would be taken during the DAY, and rest sufficient time for this to have the proper reaction - see? Have the vibratory forces as set up in VERY cold water (that is, ice and water). Be careful that it is not in a metallic container.

The diet - these, as we see, are necessary to be considered. As indicated, more of the vegetable. Though this is a portion OF the entity’s diet, but CHANGE more often. Not too much routine in the action for the diet. [GD’s note: Being a friend of Mrs. Dillman’s it may be assumed that Mrs. [2652] was possibily a Theosophist and thus a vegetarian.]

  1. We are through for the present.
