Born October 5, 1912, in McAllen, Texas. Time of Reading 10:40 to 11:25 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City.

1. GC: You will give the relation of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane; giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:

3. Yes, we have the records here of that entity now known as or called [2655].

4. In giving the interpretations of the records as we find them here, it might be well to indicate those urges that are latent - and many of those influences about the entity.

5. For, this information is given with the desire and purpose that it may be a helpful influence for this entity; enabling the entity to better fulfil, - materially, mentally, spiritually, - those purposes for which it entered this experience.

6. It would be well that the entity have about it at all times the emblem of the lotus; this in white, and in some form that would be, not as a charm but as an ornament, as well as a protective influence in the experience of the entity.

7. As we choose those portions of the records to be interpreted, these are given that the entity may minimize the faults and magnify the virtues, - in self and in others.

8. When there is considered the composite urges latent and manifested through astrological sojourns or aspects, as well as through the material sojourns, we find these are characteristics or latent urges apparent in the experience of the entity:

9. One very sincere, very open and very emphatic; and at times rather hard in criticism of others, or too plain-spoken.

10. These may be virtues or they may be faults. The sincerity, to be sure, is a virtue; but minimize the faults, magnify the virtues, as ye speak of others. For, with the measure ye mete it will be measured to thee again.

11. The entity at times is dramatic in such expression, and thus an excellent speaking voice. And this may be used or applied in the associations or activities with others.

12. Then, these applications more in the form of mirth or comics should be stressed, rather than too much of dramatics. For, the entity is inclined at times to be moody, and self-condemning - and may speak that which may be a hindrance, unless the ridiculous or the comic or funny side of every problem is taken into consideration.

13. The entity has an excellent voice as respecting speaking or singing. Thus those parts including these should be stressed, to make for the greater development.

14. Choose those directions ye shall take.

15. From unsolicited and unexpected sources, there will be small or great incomes suddenly coming to the entity - before its thirty-fifth year.

16. The urges arising from astrological sojourns should not be considered merely as influences of astrological aspects, but rather as urges in the experience of the mental and spiritual self from sojourns in those environs, - just as the study of language may make for the creating of the environ in such.

17. Then, we find urges arising from Venus, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus. For, the entity will reach that experience when the Uranian influence will be the more manifested in the life - as there has been the material sojourn in Atlantis.

18. Hence the intenseness, or the ability and the urge to be VERY - VERY good, or bad.

19. We find in Venus the beauty, art, music; the ability to attract - especially the opposite sex. This, without urge, is the natural intenseness and tenseness that is the intuitive influence, - expressed periodically or spasmodically. Such should be cultivated, but know that the mental and the material must be the result of spiritual laws as well as material. Thus those urges and those pronouncements shall be in love, in kindness, and not in criticism nor in malice nor in jealousy.

20. In Mercury, tempered with Saturn, we find the moods that are expressed, as well as the changes; and those high mental abilities, the easier retention in the mind of impressions and influences. Thus those suggestions that are ever creative, or representations of same, should be a part of the daily environ, - as in the charm of the lotus.

21. We find in Jupiter the universality of the entity’s abilities, as well as the application of same. Hence those activities in which the entity should engage, and in which it will find the greater abilities for expression, should have to do with the general public, as masses; yet the expressions individual. Hence in the radio first would the abilities find the outlet for the better activity of the entity, - in story, in the expressions in same - but always, the more oft, the lighter, the comic or the laughter producing vein.

22. From Uranus we find the intuitive nature, as well as the extremes. These will become more a part of the experience as the choices are made and as there is the development in those fields of expression indicated as an outlet for the activities of the entity. And there needs to be maintained spirituality in all of the entity’s approaches to every problem, to every condition, whether of the material or social nature or what not.

23. The entity is naturally a good politician; hence a very good leader. Any group with which the entity may be associated will listen, because of the sincerity of the entity. Be more optimistic than pessimistic; though the judgments should be from the spiritual angle, ever.

24. As to the appearances in the earth, - we find that these have been quite varied.

25. Before this the entity was in the vicinities of the land of the present sojourn, and the entity was a member of a group called barnstormers, - during the periods following the reconstruction in 1812.

26. Those experiences brought an outlet wherein the entity came in association and contact with many characters.

27. Thus the entity unconsciously judges human nature, and mostly the first impressions are correct.

28. The entity gained in those activities, though it builded the home in the latter portion of its experience that became an outlet for greater activities.

29. Then the name was Lucille Barnswell. It may be said that the entity gained throughout that experience. From same there are carried the latent urges in the present, - as in the abilities of stage or screen, as a speaker, as a composition writer. And if the entity would make the application of self in those directions of writing, - of scripts that depict the story of home and its protective influences, - these may bring an outlet for expression in which great activities may be a part of the experience here and now. These may be stories for screen or for broadcasts. And the entity may find the outlet or the manner in which to apply self in these directions by first being IN the position of a broadcaster itself.

30. Before that the entity was in the Roman land, among those peoples during the period when there was the attempt of those in authority to embrace the activities of the Grecians, - and especially their spread of the acting, whether for the arena in fetes of manhood or otherwise, - and these later became - or took on - the greater expression of speechmaking, or declarations, or declamations and oratories.

31. Then the entity was in the opposite sex, - being beautiful in body, and made those experiences when the ability for its attraction for the opposite sex brought periods of turmoil. And these may be met in the present experience by the inactivity that attracts when not meant to be.

32. The abilities as the speaker, writer, also arise from that activity, as Guilfuld. In that experience the entity gained, the entity lost.

33. And in the meeting of same in the present, keep thy judgments.

34. Before that the entity was in the Persian and Arabian land, though the entity was of those peoples from India who came into the “city in the hills and the plains.”

35. Thus all things pertaining to the orient, especially of Persia, India and Egypt, have their meaning for the entity.

36. Coming under the influence of the teacher in the hills and the plains, the entity became a leader in the dance of truth, - to music that was set to bring the interpretations of the emotions of individuals.

37. Hence the present intuitive influence of the activities that may be a part of the entity as an entertainer in many fields of service.

38. The name then was Leileu.

39. Before that the entity was in the Egyptian land during those periods of reconstruction; being among the Atlanteans who came into the land with the ideas and purposes which had been thwarted by the sons of Belial.

40. Thus the contacts with the peoples in Egypt for a greater portion of the experience brought mental hardships for the entity. Being a priestess of the children of the Law of One, not to be in the forefront brought consternation. But with the associations with the Priest and the coordinant factors in the children of the Law of One (for the entity then was a daughter of one in authority in Atlantis, and thus a priestess as well as a princess), there was the ability to aid by the very high vibrations of the body itself.

41. And the entity has healing in its hands in the present.

42. The name then was Su-Er-To.

43. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, that to which it may attain, and how:

44. In the fields of the entertainer on stage or screen, or on radio, the entity may carry out those promptings and the abilities of the entity in the present.

45. The greater field may be in that of writing script or screen stories, or for such activities, and of that character that particularly makes for the preservation of home as the basis of creating the better environs in ANY land.

46. Then, let those ideals, spiritually and mentally, be the guiding influences, and the material things of life will come in their regular course.

47. Let that mind be the builder that is the intuitive force for the Christlike hope of man.

49. (Q) What periods of time, during 1942, would you suggest I seek to expand my professional activities and in what direction or field? (A) In the early Spring, and especially on the radio - first.

50. (Q) In what manner could my husband, [2706] aid my professional career in the field of Public Entertainment? (A) By the presentation and the instruction and direction in same.

51. (Q) How should I start to develop the ability to write? (A) It is already latent. And, as indicated, by the application of self in the radio prepared script, in the field suggested, it will be seen to be as a part of the entity’s own experience.

52. (Q) In what branch could I be most useful to the Government at this time? (A) As an entertainer, for there’s the natural attraction to the abilities in any entertaining - of skits or plays or the like.

53. (Q) What could I contribute to my marriage, towards its lasting success? (A) Know that it is a fifty-fifty proposition. Don’t build it on “What may I get?” but rather on “What may I give?”

R1. 3/24/42 Her husband, Mr. [2706], obtained his Life Reading.

R2. 4/9/80 [2655] requested a copy of her reading, saying: “Unfortunately I have lost part of the typed reading you sent me after Mr. Cayce had read for me. It was excellent and most useful to me. Strange as it may seem, it is needed by me more at this time than when it was read.”

R3. 6/27/80 Ms. [2655] wrote to GD:

Hello Gladys:

It was so very special to get your lovely letter and know that again we are “connected” - I have wondered so often about all of you. I have even lost track of Gina Cerminara and several others. Please do fill me in on the activities of the Association, I am most interested in it as always!!

My husband has passed away in 1963 [2706] we had been divorced for many years before it happened however. I would be interested in reviewing his life-reading so I have enclosed an extra $5 for it. You have really improved in the manner that you prepare the readings and it is most excellent! The index system was not done on my original reading and I find this most helpful in it’s study.

In answer to your questions, yes, I did find the reading very helpful and until I mislaid it about 7 years ago I referred to it a great deal. As you know, I have studied metaphysics and philosophy since the age of 16 and I could never live my life without it. In fact I am in a third draft of a book on these subjects now. Wish you were here to read it and help me in getting it published. As my reading said, I found that I did have latent writing talent which I have been using in my public relations work and now in this field, so you see, it was all true and very helpful. Sometime when we meet again, I’ll tell you how definitely the past lives Edgar Cayce reviewed in my reading coincide with my whole life (this life) pattern. It is really amazing!

Please forgive my typing boo-boos. I taught myself how to type and when I get over-enthused as I am in writing you, I go faster than the typewriter and it is an electric one too! I will be in Charlotte, N.C. from July 9, till July 13 as one of the Western Stars from by-gone days (I played in about 40 Westerns from 1937 and 1939) who came to the Festival for the fans to get autographs, show my old movies to etc etc. This company does this every year and all my old fans wanted to meet [2655] again, wild, yes??

Dear [2655]:

What a delight to receive your enthusiastic letter giving me so many details I had wondered about.

Gina Cerminara is living in Virginia Beach now and is lecturing and giving classes for A.R.E. locally and elsewhere. Her address is: 421 Pallets Rd., Virginia Beach, Va., 23454. We have week-long Conference here at A.R.E. from May through September, as you will see when you receive your introductory material - the current activities of A.R.E.

• coming under separate cover. Last Spring and Fall we had two programs called “A TOUCH OF HISTORY” in which Hugh Lynn and I sat with six other people on a panel telling our personal experiences with the readings - our own personal readings. These were a great success and we were urgeed to continue them. I am thinking how nice it would be if you would like to take part in such a program. We try to have people on the panel who were “in the work” around the same time or who at least have some knowledge of or rapport with each other. Let me know what you think.

When you have studied your husband’s reading [2706] we’d like to have your thoughts on it as to its accuracy over the years - anything you see in it that rings a bell or explains something; this is our best way of validating the readings, to have the response from those who KNOW - and who knows best than the ones who had the readings or the one the more closely associated with them? I’m looking forward to your telling me - and hopefully those who attend “A Touch of History” - how your past lives as given by Edgar Cayce coincided with your whole life pattern this time.
