This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 23rd day of June, 1926, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [2672] via Mrs. [3934].

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.

2. EC: Now, we find in this body the physical conditions are such that the body is rarely very well, yet never, or rarely, feeling real sick, or prevented from going about its normal duties. The disturbances in the system often bring many distresses, the greater trouble being the inability of the system to perfectly coordinate throughout the whole organism. This produced by many various causes, the chief of same being the disturbance in the nervous systems. That is, the disturbance being in such position as to disturb the cerebrospinal, sympathetic, and the sensory organism. Hence the greater distresses at times come to the sensory system. Hence the continual effective forces showing in the condition in the eyes, and in the throat, and nasal channels. This, as we see, produced by this reflex condition from the 3rd dorsal and 2nd and 4th cervical. This disturbance brings, then, these effects as seen in these portions of the sensory organism in their functioning. This disturbance in the nerve system dates back for considerable time, and first begun with a condition existing in the solar plexus and in the brachial, and just below the brachial plexus, and with the constant changing in the application of various conditions, both mental and material, for the conditions in body, this has shifted, as it were, as the stress was brought to various portions of the system. This strain in eyes, and the congestion in the nasal and throat channels, changed the seat or source, as it were, of lesions, though not correcting the condition in the first cause. Hence the general condition of debilitation, and of inability of the body, through its mental equilibrium, to gain full control over the physical organism of the body.

3. Then, to bring about the more normal condition for this body, we would, through those deep manipulations, osteopathically given, correct those conditions in the cerebrospinal system, and at the same time apply the vibration from the Violet Ray over the whole cerebrospinal nerve system. That is, as the body is adjusted and treated, osteopathically, the next day, or two days, each day lie prone on face and apply the vibrations from the Violet Ray direct to the cerebro- spinal system, beginning at the upper cervicals and following out each center and its branches along the spine. As is seen, head and neck - then the arms and shoulders - then the whole torso, and along the whole length of each sciatic nerve, and especially along the channel, or route, as it were, of each branch of the sympathetic nerve system, treating the body in such a manner for twenty-five to thirty-five minutes at least four times each week.

4. The body is a very good dietician. Follow along those channels as the body sees it has need of.

5. At least thirteen such adjustments and treatments should be given the osteopathic way.

6. The Violet Ray should be taken for at least sixty to ninety days. The body will find that the application of the eye applicator will relieve the stress, the strain, on eyes, as the adjustments in the cervical and dorsal region are made, and as the rejuvenation of the nerve system proceeds the general rebuilding will be seen throughout. Do that.

”…Being so unfortunate as to lose my bag with my health reading in it the day after I received it, I wonder if I can have a copy or copy it myself, if you retain a duplicate of all you read. I have waited this long hoping it might turn up, but now I am convinced it is impossible to see its return. Am enclosing a dollar for the extra work it will involve.

“Also will you kindly send my Life reading you made on June 28 as soon as convenient? I am looking forward to it with eagerness.

“Will you please send a few of the little booklets; also the return slip to be filled out accompanying the Life reading…”

R2. 7/26/26 EC’s letter to Mrs. [2672]:

”…Replying to yours of the 23rd, we enclose herewith, the copy of the reading as was gotten the 23rd of June. We certainly are in hopes that you are finding some results by following out the suggestions as were given.

“We are sending you, under separate cover, several copies of the pamphlet; also some of the applications for the Life readings. Possibly we should have gotten your Life reading before this, but not having heard from you respecting your Physical reading, and having a waiting list that are overanxious for their readings, we have substituted some other reading for your time, but we will make the appointment and get this as soon as it’s possible. We trust that this will be satisfactory…”

R3. 7/29/26 [2672]‘s reply to Association of National Investigators Questionnaire:

“Copy arrived this morning; have remembered that osteopathic treatments were part of directions. I have been having them twice a week since awaiting the copy for more definite ones. I expect to follow directions specifically. At present have some very good days, which shows a good start is made. As I reread my copy, it is remarkably correct as to diagnosis. I met Dr. Levine who expressed a very similar condition from reading the eyes, a short time ago, just in an offhand way. He talked here one night on his work [iridology] and some of us met him afterward. I have watched myself closely and know myself better than anyone could tell me except Mr. Cayce. He is exactly correct in every detail, but I was at an utter loss as how to proceed for the best results, as long ago I lost my faith in medical treatments of medicine.

“I assure you my sincerest appreciation goes out to Mr. Cayce and his wonderful ability to help the unfortunate.

“Will keep you informed as to further good results…”

My own physical condition is not what it ought to be but I seldom complain. My eyesight seems to be growing much worse so much so that at times I almost despair.
