This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 6th day of January, 1931, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [270].

-
GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of [270], …, San Francisco, Calif., who seeks advice and counsel for the guidance of self in his personal and business associations and relations, because he is mindful of the advice given to circumspect his actions pending the developments of conditions to be worked out for self and back towards those responsible therefor. You will now inform him of the present status of these matters, giving results of efforts designed to correct, and answer the other questions that will be asked of you.
-
EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [270] - this we have had before.
-
In the physical forces of the body we find a tendency toward an irritation in the lymphatic circulation, as indicated in portions of the body - as head, face, hands. Lack of Vitamin C in the diet. We would alter the conditions as respecting these, that they may be assisted in being corrected - for a correction through natural means is much better than through the external, or through applications external or internal for same.
-
In the matter of associations and relations, both as respecting the close relations and as respecting business associations and relations - these, as we find, in many respects are following well defined lines as respecting those things that have been given, as to the manner or the character of outcome that the body would find under such conditions and relations.
-
To be more definite, more specific in these, we will find there are still those in the associations that would supplant the body in its relations with the business associations. There are those also whom the body has entrenched self with in favor in actual accomplishments through the body’s efforts as to the relations, and these - as we find - will work toward a betterment for MATERIAL relations, in the manner as the body-mind is controlled by ulterior motives, or controlled by the spirit of service in its relationships IN service.
-
In the matters of the changes, still there are in the air some that would change the body in its surroundings. Especially is this, as we see, to become a matter of specific interest in a meeting of officials of the business associations sometime in the near future - February, or March. In these changes - if the body will act in a manner in keeping with the better principles of service, rather than as to too much of an ease for self’s gratification - some conditions will arise that will make for the body a definite decision in this line. This the body should make for SELF, rather than through other issues.
-
In the greater part, then, a development has come about for the body. Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Regarding the change mentioned, will he remain in the service of the Western Union - and in California? (A) If so desired. As has been given, in the combinations as are eventually to be accomplished with the body’s associations and relations, these would offer a greater opportunity to the body in a material manner, and the abilities of the body would be exercised the greater as for service and as for relations. As for that as may be for the BETTER, this had best be determined in self - for, as we have given, the greater things to be accomplished in a material or in a service manner may be in the changes that would EVENTUALLY - not in the present or in the first change, but that would EVENTUALLY make the entity or body-association with the combine, rather than JUST Western Union; or, should the body become SATISFIED with surroundings, not desiring to expend self and self’s efforts in meeting and combating many of the conditions, these may be classified or set aside in the capacity of a managing position in a definite location or office, if so desired. Under such relations the body may remain in the West, if he so desires.
-
(Q) Will this change be an advancement over the position now held in San Francisco? (A) If the change is to the East, an advancement. If remaining in the West, little or no advancement.
-
(Q) Is it advisable that he consider other employment so that he may remain in California? (A) That’s of his own making. The conditions as asked for have been as respecting his present associations, relations, and advancement in and with those with whom the developments thus far have been made, and through these made possible by and for the entity.
-
(Q) Should a home be bought in a Peninsula Suburb or the Richmond District? (A) Richmond District would be the preferable, for many reasons. These, however, would be dependent upon the body’s affiliations or associations.
-
(Q) As to advice given body in reading of May 1930 [270-25] regarding next industrial activity coming through medium of a perfected aerial for Radio - you will enlighten the body on the fundamental principles of this, so that he might experiment and if possible make one. (A) These are out of the body’s lines, though there may be associations and relations made that such an experiment might be made more worth while. These would - under the present SURROUNDINGS and relations - be rather confounding, and only bring disorder. Let’s do not meddle with same under existent circumstances.
-
(Q) What important changes will transpire affecting the life of this body during the year 1931? (A) These are as they have been outlined. The efforts on part of the body either to advance with, through the channels in which the body has labored for years - or will the body determine in self that through other channels, to remain in pleasant surroundings for a period, will make for the better conditions in the life of the body? THESE are the greater changes and possibilities in the body’s experience in the coming or present year.
-
(Q) An honorarium offered to employees of the Western Union Telegraph Co. for economic suggestions that will improve the stability of the company’s operations. The body plans to submit a suggestion dealing with the placing of leases for Branch Offices on a percentage rental basis and for the organization of a Real Estate Dept. within the company’s service to administrate this. State if such a suggestion is practicable and would this meet with approval of the N.Y. executives? (A) Practical and feasible, and will meet with the approval - provided a plan for such an executive board of real estate holders or operators can be planned or laid out as an effective manner and means of handling such a proposition; for, to be sure, this would make a board within itself, or operative measures of same - and this may be made to be an operative feature without too much red tape, or without confusion even, with those various channels in which such has been handled heretofore. While the present rate or manner in which such deals or such real estate or leases, or rental portions or places, are made has become rather bunglesome and cumbersome to many an office, this may be expedited through such a board as may be contemplated in the handling of such offices under such a plan. This would be well to present.
-
(Q) Any further advice for this body at this time? (A) Keep much in the way and manner as has been outlined, that the activities of the body should be of an eye single to service, without respect to the considerations of what others may do, that are acting - or would act in a way as of the preventing, or those that would hinder; knowing that self is aright, KEEP self from questionable associations and relations. Do not be too decided nor determined, but be POSITIVE in decisions and stands taken.

We are through for the present.
