GC: You will give the relation of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions that are as personalities, latent and exhibited, in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth’s plane; giving time, place, and the name, and that in that life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity and that to which it may attain, and how.
-
EC: We have the entity [2730] and those relations with the universe and universal forces, as are latent and exhibited in the present entity in this present experience.
-
Astrologically we find the entity coming under the influence of Mars and Jupiter, Uranus and Venus - Mercury and Jupiter. In this relation we find an entity very eccentric in many ways and manners, causing - wherever the entity finds lodgement, as it were - both pleasant and unpleasant conditions to arise from the associations there.
-
One liked and one disliked.
-
One that may cause much disturbance, and one that may pacify or clear many differences in the varied elements or varied conditions through which the entity finds self in association with.
-
One that seeks rather to know things as they are, than things as they could, would, or should be.
-
Hence to this entity the study of men, or peoples and things, is the most interesting - and that the entity is most interested in.
-
In the astrological relation, again we find this brings the entity under those influences of which the entity should be warned. Beware of firearms, especially in March, June and July of EACH year - else we may find troubles arising from same. Never well that the entity be armed; for with fire in self, or accident in general would apt to bring destructive forces that would be detrimental to the best development of the body in the present experience.
-
Without respect of will’s influence, many conditions are presented - as it were - to the entity, especially those along the lines of things that have to do with materials and peoples.
-
Hence in the commercial world will the entity find the greater development as for material gain.
-
Well that the entity in the development in the present experience, put not the whole trust in the material; for the material is only a manifestation, and may be so mis-directed, or mis-applied, or mis-guided, as to so over-shadow the real as to bring destructive rather than building - or that mark of the higher calling for which every entity passes through the earthly experience.
-
In the likes and dislikes, we find one that ADMIRES many things; LIKES few; drawn to still less a number; makes friendships easily, loses them just as easy; retains few, yet uses all that is retained as friends.
-
Would one find friends, then one would be friendly.
-
Would one gain the better understanding of self, know self the better - for in the actions of others is seen the reflection of that which self would have the other be.
-
In the developments for the entity - many of the astrological experiences will be necessarily changed through the application of will in its influence in the present experience; for, as seen, there are those influences in Jupiter and Uranus, Venus and Uranus, that bring those of high idealism; yet, as seen in Mars and Uranus, the entity is rather the material minded. Hence with love’s influence in Venus applied forces would warn the entity as respecting liaisons or untrue love affairs in the life, that would be detrimental to the better development for the entity.
-
Be sure of self as well as of the opposite sex before love, faith, confidence, is fully given.
-
Do not wed before the twenty-ninth birthday - or for weal and woe.
-
As to appearances and the influences in the present experience:
-
In the one before this we find in that period of the Crusade. Then entity then under that leader that went from England, and the entity among those who suffered in the foreign land; yet remaining ever true to the purpose for which the entity enlisted or gave self in service; not being contaminated, as it were, by the peoples in whose hands the entity fell; for broken in body but not in spirit, the entity served well self in that period; gaining in greater part; losing only in that of mistrust of friend - and a fearful foe when once pitted against any idea, ideal, intent or purport! Hence a good hater. In the name Biel. In the urge as seen; faithful in that to which the heart and intent is given - yet a doubter unless concrete purport is in sight. Little of the dreamer.
-
In the one before this in that period of the wars in the land now known as Persia, the entity among those who followed Uhjltd into the land and brought the destruction to the then Persian rule. Gaining in power and in the application of the material forces, and in thought and physical prowess, being of the leader’s staff, and made captain over the new leader’s house - or harem. The entity then in the name Djhiu, and the entity gained and lost through that period; yet in the very act of the service given as a leader - or as the keeper of that period - brings much of that element in the present experience as relative to relations between sex.
-
In the one before this in that land when there were divisions in the land now known as Egyptian. Then entity then among those who served as the keeper of the peoples subdued, coming more into power when the division between the priest and King arose, and being put over those of the natives that were brought into the building of the memorials as the king advanced in age and in power. The entity then in the name Arld. The entity gained through this experience - and will ever be the builder.
-
As to the abilities - these lie in the direction of commercialism, or of buildings that have to do with trade and peoples. First in the small manner begin. Then may it reach not only to the national - but international - trader; but beware of shipping on gun-boats, or with any connection having to do with merchants’ interests that are protected by war machine, or war materials - for these will bring destructive forces to THIS entity.
-
Keep the oneness of purpose; yet let THESE conditions ever be mindful to the entity: That it is not all of life to build material, nor all of death to die - in the high or low position, social, political or financial - but rather live the full life, ever being in the position of never asking anyone to do that which self would be ashamed for the mother to see self do. Keep the physical, the mental, the spiritual self CLEAN, by cleansing with that of the study of the Master’s mind; for that is the standard through which self may gain the more perfect understanding of self. Keep the mind in the whole channel of right, and self unspotted from the world. We are through.

R1. 5/28/28 Friend [341]‘s letter: “[2730] was really struck by his reading. Many parts fitted him exactly and he felt and saw it. I think it will really be of value to him. He has sent it on to his mother.”
R2. 6/26/28 [2730]‘s letter to EC:
NEW YORK TELEPHONE COMPANY
My dear Mr. Cayce:
I’m taking this opportunity to thank you for the life-reading which I consider very beneficial as well as interesting. Just how seriously I consider it I do not know for the more I read it the more bewildered I find myself. It seems that you hit the nail on the head in several places and the more I consider the advice given in the reading the more I feel that I will be benefitted.
I stand in awe when I compare the likeness of your reading to the reality of my life. Some of the characteristics or rather eccentricities which you mentioned I was wholly unaware of but now fully realize these shortcomings and am trying to overcome them. Perhaps my future life shall be different for I feel that I have changed somewhat since I have had my reading.
I truly enjoyed the discussion of my reading with Hugh Lynn. I’m afraid without his help I would not have had a full appreciation of its value.
My thoughts often go back to the night when both you and Mrs. Cayce were so kind as to take us all to dinner - indeed it was a pleasure and I shall always think of your kindness when I enjoy a good meal.
Work this summer does not agree with me but I think it best that I please the boss and do some. Please remember me kindly to Mrs. Cayce and Hugh Lynn.
Sincerely, [2730]
R3. 6/29/28 EC’s letter to [2730]:
Dear [2730]:-
Glad to have yours of the 26th and to know you found the reading interesting and instructive. Of course we realize that, while the information may be very unusual and interesting from a certain standpoint, unless it is such that it can be made worth while by the individual for whom it is intended, it really doesn’t mean very much; and to know you have found it worth while, that you believe it is beneficial, and that you are able to apply it, makes it all the more worth while to us.
[2730], I’ve often thought of the evening we spent in … and have hoped you would have the opportunity to get down and see us, that we might have the chance to talk over many of the phases of the phenomena itself.
Hugh Lynn seems to be determined to do some real work. He and Thomas House (of whom you’ve possibly heard him speak) have been doing odd jobs about the place, and some work for some people here at the Beach, and with the erecting of the hospital they are to be the carpenters’ helpers - which I’m sure will mean some real work. In my opinion it will do them both good.
We are very glad to say that the hospital IS under erection. We hope it will come along alright.
Let us hear form you whenever you have the opportunity. We are always glad to hear.
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce EC:GD

R4. 1/33 GD’s note: Reports from those who knew [2730] indicated that he had been expelled from college because of a scandal with a woman. Later he had married, before the age of 29, and the marriage did not last.
R5. 10/19/53 We learned that [2730] was happily married and settled in his home town, that he had become an executive in a large business firm dealing with a utility product on an international basis.

B1. 1/22/28 Letter: “I am now rooming with [341], [849], and [2480], and several times during our discussions your readings on the boys have been the topic of conversation. These discussions have been of great interest and have created within me a desire to know more of the subject. I am in ignorance as to the theories of your work and would greatly appreciate an opportunity to enlighten myself through a Life Reading.”
B2. 2/25/28 Letter from [341] indicated extreme antagonism had developed between [849] and [2730], so much so that [849] moved out. This was interesting since [849] had liked [2730] very much at first and had brought him into the dorm with the other boys.
