EC: Yes, we have the body here, [275] - this we have had before. Conditions physical show much improvement in the body in every way. The trouble or conditions as have existed in the structural portions, show that these have not only been arrested, but that the covering of the bone itself is now almost in a healthy, perfect state. While there still remains weakness, and at times this will cause distress - along the sciatic nerve, or especially the nerve along the sciatic as conjunction with same, more along the inside - this may give distress at times, but with the gentle massaging of same, with the occasional keeping up of the Infra Red light, with the massage occasionally of the mullein and the olive oil with myrrh, these will keep the conditions in a nearer normal way and manner. Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Would it be injurious for body to have X-Ray pictures taken now? (A) Really beneficial.
-
(Q) What treatments should be continued at home? (A) As outlined.
-
(Q) How much vegetable juice per day should body have? (A) Six to eight ounces.
-
(Q) Give name of osteopathic] doctor in Binghamton, New York, who would give the osteopathic treatments correctly? (A) Wouldn’t anyone give it, unless demanded of him - and then anyone that is of the Missouri school.
-
(Q) Give name of doctor in Staten Island or New York City who would give the osteopathic treatments correctly? (A) Anyone of the Philadelphia or Kirksville school.
-
(Q) Is horseback riding good for body? (A) Provided it isn’t taken at too fast a canter, be very good. Walking, or slow gallop would be very well, but not too much of that.
-
(Q) How long should the Infra Red be given? (A) As long as there is any distress to the body along the nerve, as is outlined.
-
(Q) How often? (A) Twice to three times each week, during such periods, to be sure.
-
(Q) Should the carbon ash and the Everlasting [Life Everlasting] tea be continued? (A) Should be continued, at least for three to four months more.
-
That is all the questions regarding this body.

We are through with this reading.

Reports & Follow-up
R1. 7/31/30 She was discharged as a patient from Cayce Hospital and returned home to N.Y.
R2. 8/14/30 She wrote from … Lake, N.Y.: “I am enjoying myself very much here in the country, and am feeling fine.”
R3. 8/25/30 She obtained Ck. Physical 275-9. Also see 275-10, 275-12.
R4. 11/8/30 EC’s letter: “In line with my conversation over the phone with your father the other evening, and with your letter of some days ago, I have been trying to find some way that we can get this medicated ash for you. While our supply is uncertain just at the present time, I am sending some along to you. According to the last information, I think one-eighth of a grain was the dose - and this should last you for some time. I haven’t been able to get this weighed out for you, but being anxious to get it off I’m sending it in this shape. I’m sure you can have your local druggist prepare this for you at very little or no cost. I am very sure this will relieve your mind. and I hope will improve the condition considerable also.
“I certainly want to thank each and every one of your family for the kindly interest you have in our undertaking, and for the interest you create in the hearts of others. Every few days we receive a letter from someone who has heard about the work through you.
“I saw a letter to the hospital from Mr. [53]. I’m certainly glad to know that he is getting along so nicely. I’m sure he is getting the right treatments osteopathically from Dr. Berger [Theodore J. Berger, D.O.], and possibly the present arrangement is satisfactory - but tell him (and any of the rest) that if he would like to have the services of the hospital, there is a very competent one in charge at the present [Gena L. Crews, D.O.], and I am sure he would be able to get all of his treatments in a most satisfactory way and manner.
“Hoping that whenever you have the opportunity you will come to see us, and with kindest personal regards to all of you from all here…”
R5. 11/10/30 She wrote: “I rec’d the carbon ash last Sat. and want to thank you so much for it, and for the trouble it has cost you. In my first rdg. it said I should have one-quarter grain twice a day, which is the dose I have been taking, so it will last me just half as long as you have planned. I would appreciate it very much if you could have some more made, so that I will have it when this is finished.”
R6. 12/1/30 See 275-13 asking questions about the Ash.
