This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 20th day of May, 1942, in accordance with request made by the father - Mr. [4930], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., via his sister Mrs. [1523].

At the home of Time of Reading her parents, 3:40 to 3:45 P. M. Eastern War Time. …, Va.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2572].

3. The body is in those developing stages of attuning or changing to the physical-material environment.

4. There is little or no assimilation properly going on. And thus the body is not only in pain but it is losing in weight and in its resistance.

5. As we find, it would be better to use the milk that we have so oft indicated for such conditions, - the Carnation Milk. For this particular body, however, make the pectin rather than with the Karo, but the formula should be weak.

6. And we would give, now, at least ten drops of Milk of Bismuth.

7. Then in four hours begin with the very small doses of Fletcher’s Castoria; one or two drops at a time should be sufficient, but give several times a day - every hour or so - until the effect of same may be seen in the stool.

8. Also give with EVERY feeding, though not in the milk, at least one or two drops of Glyco-Thymoline. Continue to give this until the odor of same may be detected in the stool.

9. Give the Castoria until there is the cleansing of all those inflammatory conditions through the colon. The Milk of Bismuth will change the color and will relieve the tension, though it may be necessary in the evening (if this treatment is begun in the late evening or morning) to give a mild enema to relieve the pain through the colon area. This also will tend to aid in correcting the sourness in the in the colon and bowel. Use the baby enema, of course, and put a drop of Glyco-Thymoline in this water also.

10. After the bath, do dust with the powder that carries Balsam in same. This is healing. But don’t tend to dry up too much.

11. Use on the affected areas the baby Carbolated Vaseline, - this not on face, of course, but on neck and body; or the Camphorated Oil - if this is weakened, see (that is, weaken same by using olive oil in same).

12. Ready for questions.

13. (Q) What proportion of milk should be used in the formula? (A) As has been given - this must be through those ministrations of a physician.

R1. 6/1/42 Report: Condition hadn’t cleared, constipation continued. Kao Pectate was discovered to be a patented product containing 90% Bismuth. Formula was changed to Pectin - Apella trade name. Constipation was somewhat cleared with continued use of Castoria. Top of head remained scaly and skin irritation would reoccur.

B1. GD’s note: Six weeks old baby, - had loose bowels since coming from hospital; Dr. W. L. Taylor the physician, took her off of mother’s milk at first and put her on cow’s milk, then about two weeks ago on Carnation Milk using Kao Pectate in formula. A rawness and breaking out started on rump, then spread to neck and face, eye swollen, etc., frets and cries all the time.
