This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 6th day of July, 1943, in accordance with request made by the self - Miss [2778], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Miss [2778] and Mrs. [1523].]

Time of Reading 4:00 to 4:15 P. M. Eastern War Time. …, Va.

  1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with further suggestions for corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

  2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2778]; this we have had before.

  3. As we find, conditions are progressing very satisfactorily in most ways.

  4. To be sure, at times it becomes long and tedious, but these must be met in self - in mind and in body.

  5. And be patient, with self as well as others.

  6. In applying the massage, let this be MORE in the sacral and sacro-iliac plexus, so that there will be a better supply to the locomotory centers for the lower limbs. Of course, the limbs themselves should not be neglected, especially under the knees, and the tendons that lead directly upward from the knees, and the under side, and the sciatic nerve all the way down the INSIDE of the lower limbs - these are well to keep deep in the massage. Not enough to bruise, to be sure, but we would supply a little more to all of these areas - that is, the sacro-iliac, or the lumbar, the sacral and the coccyx areas.

  7. But the main thing is to keep the attitude of the mind of the body constructive and expectant, and to use all the strength that is gained by the application of those elements to the body, and the massage and the rest periods, as influences to bring better forces for the body.

  8. These we would keep doing.

  9. Ready for questions.

  10. (Q) What can I do to help keep left foot straight while going without brace? (A) In the use of same, don’t try to use it too much without brace, in going a great deal, until better conditions are established in the iliac plexus. While it is well to use it at times, don’t do too much of it - for you may do yourself more harm with this than good.

  11. (Q) Should I attempt going without left brace? (A) As just indicated.

  12. (Q) Is my left eyeglass lens too strong? (A) No, not too strong.

  13. (Q) What can I do for pain in chest and back? (A) Just take it a little bit easier. And on the chest use Minit-Rub occasionally, and along the back. This will be good.

  14. (Q) About how many more series should be taken before another Check Reading? (A) This depends upon the response the body makes! Have a Check whenever you wish it!

  15. (Q) Would it be advisable to go home to stay, in the Fall? (A) That must be a choice within self. We have given as to what may be the better, from the mental and spiritual attitude. But if self chooses to make the varied conditions, or to meet varied conditions - if you tackle a job, hold to it!

  16. (Q) Any other advice? (A) Keep sweet! These are the better attitudes. Know that you are helping others as you help yourself. And this applies as well to those who may help thee, in their assistance to thee. You don’t owe each other anything more than what is your just dues! What you have been and what you are, are your OWN individual purpose and aim! But just keep sweet.

  17. We are through for the present.
