This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 11th day of May, 1925, in accordance with request made by self - Dr. [2801].

Born August 7, 1881, near Lansing & Grand Ledge in Eaton County, Michigan. Time of Reading 3:30 P. M. Dayton Savings Time. …, Ill.

1. GC: You will give the relation of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces, giving the conditions that are as personalities, latent and exhibited, in the present life. Also the former appearances in the earth’s plane, giving time, place, and the name, and that in that life which built or retarded the development for the entity, giving the abilities of the present entity and to that which it may attain, and how.

2. EC: Yes, we have the entity here, and those relations with the universe and universal forces as are latent and exhibited in the earth’s plane, with those relations with appearances in the earth plane and that coming from same as urges and as manifestations of those experiences in the earth plane in the present sphere.

3. The coming in the earth plane at this period we see under the influences of Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus, with Venus, Mars and Neptune at the various conditions in adverse influence. Then in those conditions as personalities, or as latent urges, we find many coming from the experiences in the former appearances, with the influence as found in those of the astrological conditions in the life.

4. Then, we have one given to be diplomatic in many ways. One given to be much of a general in many business undertakings. One given to understand business and business relations with any class, group or condition. One whose greatest force would lie in that of institute or institute work, and labors in capacity of the supervisor, or of the one supervising such labors, with others accomplishing the detail. One of great vision. One of many various ways of reaching the conclusion of conditions. One, however, given to suffer much in physical conditions in body from other influences, as we shall see.

5. In the appearances then:

6. We find in the one before this in the first settling in the now New York, with those of Peter Stuyvesant. The entity then in the household of that ruler, or that guide, and in the name Ann Stuyvesant and was of that one that gave the rule to that isle and that group of people. In the personality then as exhibited from this appearance, we find one given to understand legal terms, legal arrangements, and seeking such knowledge. One given to control many peoples. One given to know the greater scope not given to detail forces.

7. In the one before this we find in the French country when the rule was in the making of the French people, then of the Roman forces and then in the name of Mieah, and in the sex then of man and given as the one defending the principles of the new and settled land, coming then from across the hills to become the leader of these peoples. This we see in the early days of this settled country, for as we see from this group there arose many peoples in many places that spread over the earth’s plane from these various groups. This entity in this plane then came as the ruler and selected by those who had come before. In the present personality in the entity, we find when chosen then by others for specific work, or for specific duties, the entity is capable of giving of self’s best to the developing of same. Then lacking in that of the gift of being the first to expand in given direction, yet capable of giving much to many peoples in many ways of help.

8. In the one before this we find in the Peruvian forces, where the first peoples were given to make laws for their own protection, during the first days of the Ohlms [?]. [GD’s note: Ohm - Ohum - sounded like Alms. Aymaras? See 4292-1 Reports in re Aymaran Indians of Peru.] The entity then in the name of Omrhdji and the entity gave the peoples those principles of self-government that have gone to the best rule through many, many ages. In the personality then shown in the present, that of the dislike of small or little conditions, and reaching out for the greater fields and great expanses. Hence the conditions of the distrust in many and the unsatisfied conditions in the present existences.

9. In the one before this we find in the beginning of the indwelling in the earth. The entity among those who came in the second rule of the peoples in mankind, then in that of Osi, and giving then the way of the culture to the things pertaining to the diet, and hence in the present the urge to be the dietician for many peoples, and the peculiar turn, as it were, towards things pertaining to such, yet gaining from this condition those very conditions bringing the ills in trunk portion of body, for the urge remains in the inmost forces pertaining to such. Then that to which the entity may aspire or reach in the present sphere, and the application of the abilities latent in the entity:

10. That of the supervisor or control over those of institute or institutional work, especially pertaining to peoples that are of the belittled, or weak physically.

12. Give then more study to self, and knowing the studies as are ever in the physical forces, knowing that with the will in man and woman the building of the inmost self is expanded in the physical world, that the self may manifest the better through the channels of the Creator and Created.

Dear Dr. [2801]

Yours of the 11th, addressed to Miss Gladys, regarding the reading, Life Reading, for Dr. [2802], received. We’ll be very glad to get this for you at the first open date. I’m just wondering what you got from your life reading. As you know, these are rather new to us and each and every one seems to be more interesting than the other, though most of the people tell us they seem to fit the condition and give them a better insight into the why’s and wherefore’s of things that are present in their lives. Apparently, it doesn’t hesitate to tell the good and bad, where there is such, and I’m wondering how yours impressed you. Of course its always more interesting to know what people think of these that are real thinkers and have taken a sufficient interest in life to study the various phases of same. Seemingly to me, yours, especially, gave a very great deal of information in a very few words. In other words, it seemed to cloak it in such phrases or language that you alone would understand. Naturally, I’m wondering. I think, however, it insists that you should be in institute work, and you can very well see where its leading you. I’m just as anxious to get the one for Dr. [2802] now and see how the connection comes. So far there have been very few, if any, that we haven’t found associated with each other in some other sphere, or time. I don’t know that I get where your association was with our group, unless it was in the first or second appearance. I hope to some time have an opportunity to get this group all hooked up to-gether. It seems that we centralize around this one appearance.

You know I don’t know just how thoroughly I believe in Reincarnation, but of course there is practically nothing else in these readings, so I’m forced to believe it to that extent, and seemingly each and every one report on readings on this character given that there is more truth in these than we had ever suspected. I’m certainly then very anxious to know what you’ll have to say about yours.

My Dear Big Bro.- God put us all upon this earth. That we might serve His ends And then to give the world some worth, He made some of us FRIENDS.

To Him I am most grateful that he gave me a friend in you.

Yes! most emphatically, I can see and understand much that is in my reading. Why I thrill so when Band music starts. Why I have always wanted to be a man. Why I dislike details so much. Why small things and places irritate me. Why I want to see things done right and quick - Detest falsehoods and rather know the bitter truth oftimes than to deal with uncertainties.

I have at least always wanted to be in institute work - Or have some large church - Hotel, as place of business that I could supervise and make others happy - I love the public, the whole of its people, and realize in existence each has problems to solve, heartaches to bear and love to give, if one can only find one who could but understand and be a helpmate and counselor.

I know I am not placed right and I see now why Dr. [2802] and I clash on business - It quite likely will come out in his reading, so we will understand even more clearly. Again [2802] asked me if I had sent his dates. He seems anxious now. I told him I had but postal may have been lost. However here it all is as he gave me to send today. Mail to house here as at office mail often gets misplaced as he is not there early enough mornings to open up office before postman arrives.

Wish you would give me names of Winner at Derby. I only will place enough to help us all. Of course it’s too late to do that for tomorrow but when races come here I think I’ll let some of the Indian out of me and see if I can win on your tip if you give it. Ha Ha.

We must plan our finances in such a way that we can have our Institution soon. I want so much to see you happy too. Also the dear girl, Miss Gladys, as I call her Little Sister. I must get busy with Ancient History, etc. and find out all I can about the tribes of people I am supposed to be. Strange as it may seem I was drawn so strongly to the Spanish & French & Mexicans while enroute and in New Orleans I loved the old Historic places. The Alamo in Texas where Texas was fought for & won. All Texas people seem so proud over that fact and I believe I would too.

My dear I have left all my work this morning to write you. Because I realize friends who are anxious to hear from us, can’t see how immediate conditions are.

Tell me how can I sell my River St. property in Dixon, Ill. that I had to take as part payment for big house.

By the way the man who bought it just raves over it all the time is so madly in love with it all. But, the sorrow that drives me away from it is very bitter and I could not remain there alone. I stayed alone over a year and that was enough. It’s to expensive for only one.

I hope and pray all will come right. Of course God knows best and if with what knowledge we can use, we can help ourselves and others I feel we should.

Take care of your good self and family. Enclosed find a little gift for readings to one I prize very very highly in life’s work and as a true friend. Wish it were $1000.00.

Dear Dr. [2801]

I was certainly glad to have yours of the 15th and glad to know that you found your reading both interesting and instructive. I’m in hopes you found the same in that of Dr. [2802] [2802-1] for as you perhaps have his already. I am sure our good friend Mr. Wyrick will enjoy reading your reading with you. He has been following quite a number of these and has given considerable comment on many of them. By the way, when did you see him? How is he getting along? I certainly hope they will very soon find the golden fluid in that well they’re drilling, and I feel sure they will, though they seem to be drilling into the heart of the earth for it, yet they must succeed, for the best for all of us.

Well, I don’t know whether I could do anything with the Derby business or not. I don’t believe it’s just that type of thing it’s intended to use this kind of information on.

I am in hopes that we can plan things so as to have the institution on a firm basis, with sufficient finances to carry out the investigation along lines that would be irrefutable and that would be, not only helpful to the people of this day and generation but to the generations to come, for I am sure, from the information that’s gotten in Life Readings, especially on the very young, that it gives an insight into the urges of each individual in no unmistakable manner. Therefore, would certainly be beneficial in developing a super-man, mentally, physically, morally and in every way. If I fail not in my conception of what these readings are.

I should think the little man who was to go with us to Dixon the day we went down has a prospective buyer for that property you have in Dixon. Surely he must have something that you could use that would lead to that end anyway, or is it somebody he has been associate with? I believe you will find that the case very soon. I’d follow it up and see if it isn’t worth while. I think that property that we looked at was one of the most ideal places that I ever saw. I’m sure there couldn’t be one more ideally located, as far as the individual property is concerned anyway. Just whether the town of Dixon is located right, I don’t know.

Did you ever think of Virginia, or the East Coast as the place where you should be located?

I certainly do wish that I could see you and Dr. [2802] and talk with you again concerning the many things that have come up since I last saw you, and the developments that are seemingly very emphatic in the work, and see what you make out of all of it. Some of it has certainly been most interesting.

Miss Gladys is getting along very nicely with her work, and is especially enthused whenever we have a Life Reading to take. She says they are the most interesting of them all. While the others may be more beneficial individually, but so many more people may gain knowledge and an understanding of life from the readings that go into the why’s and wherefore’s of an individual’s likes and dislikes, telling often of their blasted hopes and their real intent and purpose, which so few of us ever realize.

R6. 12/10/37 Letter: You are a wonderful man, and the description of your passage through God’s other door is wonderful. I feel I have gone through much the same experiences in many of my dreams, when in the Astral body. Isn’t it encouraging, how many more facts are coming to light, and how radio, newspapers, and public speakers are teaching the people more than ever about the God within, and spiritual growth. We teach in our class, the different bodies we possess and along the mystic interpretations of some of our great writers. We have just finished “The Other Wise Man” by Van Dyke.

My Dear Mr. Cayce,

I am so deeply interested in all you are doing that I have interested several people to secure readings.

And if all comes out as I am planning, I may have the pleasure of visiting you in September with a very dear friend who will motor through to N.Y. then to Virginia Beach. We will at that time secure some readings if you will favor us. This lady’s husband has a condition of stammering which she now feels since my talking to her, about your work, that you can help him to overcome.

I will be so delighted to see you and visit your place of work, and if the Gods are kind to me to add a little bit to your building if only a brick. As you say all helps. I am so anxious with our work here, to build a church for our people. I have great dreams and hopes for it and I may ask you to give me a reading about that.

I often feel as though I had been a High Priest because of my deep feelings regarding same. Dr. [2802] is such a wonderful scholar and minister. He goes into the very depth of things as you know he would. While I am always pushing him on to greater heights because he is such a fine teacher.

I seem to be the one always to make the contacts for him and encourage the work. We have a splendid following here in … both spiritually and professionally. [2802] says he dare not leave this year because of patients that need him, but insists I take a vacation which I said no! I must stay too, but because of certain conditions I fall into, especially at Hay Fever time he insists I get away.

So, if all plans out as I hope will I feel sure you will see me. Be sure to tell Gladys as I will enjoy seeing her so much. It will be so nice to meet Mrs. Cayce and your son too. I never have had that pleasure you know.

Are your readings 15.00 or 20.00 or 10.00? Different ones ask me but I am not sure.

We are trying to pay for our home here and get out of debt, and I know it will all come out smoothly now as when God’s children put their trust and faith in his great work, and the service of humanity. Dear Mr. Cayce,

I received the book, A Search for God. It is one of the finest books I have ever had the pleasure of reading.

The philosophy is what we have been teaching for many years. You have beautifully linked the Great teachings of the Bible in an understandable way, which should help those who seek, and show them the laws of life are to be obeyed.

I wish you would send me some of your literature. I want to get a health reading for myself again, and one for my sister who is in …, Oregon. What rate would I have to pay? There are others I can send to you who are deeply interested.

Dr. [2802] and I have purchased a ranch near …, Mo., in the Shepherd of the Hills country. He thinks my health would be better there, but I know God helps me here or wherever I am, as He is my strength in all things.

How I would love to see you again. What are the weather conditions there during the month of August and September and is it easy to get a room in some nice hotel near where I could visit you often.

My whole life has been one of service. We teach classes in living philosophy, during the Fall and Winter months up to June 1st. We have funerals, weddings, and all that goes with a minister, as you know Dr. [2802] was ordained years ago, and I went into Co-Masonry went thru all the offices and became Most W. Master - have my 32nd degree. Co-Masonry follows the same teachings of the Regular Masculine Lodges. Only ours is Universal. We take the same oaths, and work. It’s a beautiful school of life and how wonderful it would be if all lived its teachings. Our Headquarters are in Larkspur, Colorado. Called the American Federation of Human Rights. I seem to recall that you too are a Mason.
