This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 23rd day of October, 1942, in accordance with request made by the Aunt - Mrs. [1533], Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.
[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.]
Time of Reading 3:35 to 3:55 P. M. Eastern War Time. …, New York. (Physical Suggestion)
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here.
-
As we find, there are conditions that are lacking in the structural or building properties in body, that cause those disturbances and anxieties to those about the body, - the lack of those elements in the blood supply to build the walls, and resistances necessary in the walls of the arteries and the veins in the body.
-
So, with bruises or injuries to the body, there is the formation of blood spots, or clots.
-
That with the formation of such clots or blots there is lack of full coagulation is well, but that there is lack of coagulation AND also the lack of the elements as to build in the glandular forces or activities those elements that arise from what is called the active forces of the B-1 Complex AND G as vital energies, is not so well. And this is that which needs correction.
-
We find that the outlines which have been given for diet are very good; but we would add small quantities regularly of blood pudding.* Necessarily, from the age, this will require that very small quantities be given, about three times each week. If you get him to take a teaspoonful it’ll be fine!
- [To be prepared as follows:
1/2 pound ground calf’s liver 1/2 cup blood (which you can get butcher to save from grinding the liver) Butter a pan six inches across and two inches deep. Season the liver with salt to taste and piece of butter the size of a walnut. Melt and mix with liver, then pour blood over the liver. Run in hot oven about ten minutes.]
-
But we would give, daily, the weak combination of those influences of elements to the body, vibratorially, that will cause the glandular forces to take from elements given those necessary forces to CORRECT these disturbances.
-
By this we mean the low electrical vibration of the Wet Cell Appliance, carrying an alternation of Gold one day, Camphor the next day, and Atomidine the next day. These applications should be made for about twenty minutes, one on one day, one the next, and one the next, and so on.
-
These vibrations should be made with the low charge, as follows:
Copper Sulphate…1/2 pound, Sulphuric Acid C.P…1 ounce, Zinc…15 grains.
-
The attachments would be made in this ratio:
-
On the first day, when using the Gold - the small copper plate would be attached to the 9th dorsal, while the large nickel plate, through which the Gold Solution passes vibratorially (in the proportions of one grain Chloride of Gold to each ounce of Distilled Water - and use at least three ounces of the Solution), would be attached to the umbilical and lacteal duct center; that is, about three fingers from the navel center to the right, - that is, just below the liver, or at the lacteal duct center - the larger duct center.
-
The next day, when using the Camphor, - the small plate would be attached to the brachial center, or the 2nd and 3rd dorsal center, while the larger nickel plate, through which the Camphor passes vibratorially (commercial strength Spirits of Camphor - three ounces), would be attached also to the umbilicus and lacteal duct center, the same as they day before - (two ounces Camphor and one ounce Distilled Water).
-
Next day, when using the Atomidine, - the small copper plate would be attached to the lumbar axis, while the large nickel plate, through which the Atomidine passes vibratorially (one ounce of Atomidine and two ounces of Distilled Water), would also be attached to the umbilicus and lacteal duct center, the same as the day before.
-
Continue alternating the attachments and the solutions in this manner.
-
The variation in these is according to the variation in the atomic structure of the body in it relationships to the vibrations set up by this very low electrical stream through the body-forces, to the body-activity of the organs themselves of the body.
-
This, then, would aid in causing better assimilating from the foods taken of those properties necessary to build the resistances in the structural portions of nerve fibre of all forces through which there is the development of the activity and structure.
-
DO NOT give injections for ANY other disturbances through the periods these combinations are being used for the body.
-
DO NOT give, necessarily, other medicinal properties internally. Those that will be absorbed, or may be absorbed in the vibratory manner suggested here, will be the more helpful for the body.
-
The use of Clapp’s foods is the better.
-
DO take, though, the blood pudding about three times a week; this made preferably from calves’ liver.
-
Do that.
-
Ready for questions.
-
We are through for the present.

Reports
Reports & Follow-up
R1. 10/26/42 EC’s letter to Mrs. [1533]: “Hope you have found information attempted for the young man to be of interest. I believe this is the first case of this nature that we have ever had, so we have nothing to compare this information with, only that many times where things seemed hopeless, unusual and the like, suggestions have brought help and hope, where everything else had failed. Let me hear what they decide to do, won’t you? Hoping to have been of a service,” Sincerely, [EC]
R2. 2/5/51 Questionnaire sent. No reply. Wet Cell Appliance was never ordered. 1951 Extensive article with pictures appeared in a nat’l magazine - ”[…] the father has given more than 50 transfusions.”
R3. 4/26/51 HLC’s letter to the father: “We have just read with great interest the article by […] in the … Magazine on your son’s case.
“You may remember that on 10/23/42 a Physical Reading was secured from Edgar Cayce on little [2832], - then 10 months old, by way of request from your sister, Mrs. [1533], and your sister [873]. The treatment outlined a simple electrical appliance carrying vibratorially the properties of Gold, Camphor and Atomidine, alternately.
“It may be of interest to you to know that we are continuing to receive reports from individuals who have used a similar Wet Cell Appliance for serious ailments involving basic functional disorders. We believe that through thorough research work with such appliances there might be revealed valuable data leading to the cure of such ailments as hemophilia. The treatment outlined is not expensive but it does require persistent daily following through with the use of the appliance over a long period of time. Apparently you and your wife are giving the child the kind of care and attention which would make it very simple to include such a treatment.
“I hope you will be interested enough to let us supply you with further verification of the apparent value of the Appliance recommended in your son’s reading. Our only concern is testing the value of suggestions given through these records which did prove helpful to many thousands of people. I am taking the liberty of sending a copy of this letter to a very good friend of ours whose office is in your building. Perhaps you will care to get in touch with each other. I refer to Mr.[3132] who lives in … where your child was at the time of his reading, with his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. […]”

R4. GD’s note: No reply was rec’d from anyone, in regard to Case [2832].
R5. 10/26/62 Father’s cousin, Miss [1298], told GD that the reading for [2832] was not followed; the father said when he could have the best doctors why should he listen to a ‘quack’.
Miss [1298] says that [2832] is still living but would not have been had his family been financially unable to keep him surrounded with every protection through the years. Even now the plasma is kept right in the house where it can be used immediately if needed. Young [2832] is now going to college, but he is quite bitter about his condition; his grandparents left him wealthy but his physical condition keeps him from enjoying life. Miss [1298] said, “It is definitely a karmic situation, I am sure.”

Background
Background
B1. 10/17/42 Letter from his father’s sister, Mrs. [1533]:
“You have given health rdgs., for myself, friends and various members of our family. My sister, [873], suggested using your gift for diagnosis and remedy for the newest addition to the […] family, our brother’s child, […] [2832], born Dec. 21, 1941 in N.Y.C. It was a Caesarian birth, but he is a normal healthy child. From birth he had been given milk formulas. He had a baby nurse and was under the care of the foremost baby doctor, a specialist, who declared him to be 100% perfect. At the age of 6 months, his mother saw a big black and blue hard lump on his knee. She thought he bruised himself badly, as he is an active, happy child. A few days later while bathing him, she saw another round black and blue lump as big and hard as her fist on his back. These appeared on various parts of his body. At that point, they rushed him to a hospital for observation for 14 days. The report was - the child is a bleeder - be sure to always live near a hospital to which he can be rushed for a blood transfusion if ever he bleeds from an open wound. These black lumps are the result of internal bleeding. Blood does not coagulate due to lack of Qifrinogen (a liver secretion). Would you give him a Rdg. as quickly as you can. Do you advise starting now his inoculations against the various child diseases, as the doctor wants to do? What kind of food? (He has been eating canned baby vegetable foods, cereals, milk.)”
