This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 11th day of November, 1942, in accordance with request made by the niece - [2958], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Mrs. [623].

Military Hospital, Time of Reading Room 9, Ward 9, 3:35 to 3:40 P. M. Eastern War Time. Third Floor, Dayton, Ohio.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here.

3. Now as we find, while conditions have been and are still rather serious, in the circumstance and the conditions that exist, it would not be well to interfere with the administrations that are being made.

4. For, we find that there is the comprehending of the circumstance, and conditions will - with those careful attention - move for improvements in the body forces.

5. When there has been sufficient recuperation for the body to be removed from the present environs, and there is the desire for further instructions, these would be the correct times to give suggestions through this channel.

6. Keep the attitude of helpfulness, hopefulness; knowing from and of Whom help comes.

7. We are through for the present.

Dear Miss [2958]

Yours of the 9th received - and as you know we attempted the information for your Aunt [2847]. Feel from the information, she must have shown some improvement and as most always, they will not be interference by the reading when one is in a hospital - unless it is very urgent. When your Aunt is better and out of the hospital, will be glad to try and help if she so desires. Am afraid too, your Aunt was not aware of the information being taken was she?

Do hope she will soon be better, thank you for your interest and trust we may be of a real help.

R2. 2/1/43 Niece, Miss [2958]‘s letter:

Dear Mr. Cayce:

I regret the delay in answering your letter relative to your reading for my aunt, Mrs. [2847] at the Dayton Military Home, Dayton, Ohio, November 11, 1942.

Immediately upon receipt of your reading I made arrangements for a close and understanding friend of my aunt to be there at the time you specified; however, I subsequently learned that on that particular afternoon my aunt had a very severe vomiting spell and hemorrhages.

When I went to Dayton the 13th of November I found her condition much worse and she passed on the morning of November 17, which was a shock to me as I felt somehow

• even though her condition was serious - that she would recover.

I read your report to Mrs. [623]. She said it was so different from the one you made for her daughter. I can’t tell from your report whether you realized at the time that her case was hopeless.

I am enclosing a money order for 10 and hope to send the remaining 10 to you February 15. Am sorry about the delay but I had some other financial matters that had to be taken care of.

Dear Miss [2958]

Have yours of the 1st, with enclosure, thank you. Had heard from Mrs. [623] of the death of your Aunt, was indeed sorry to hear of this, but felt from the first it was almost hopeless. Am sure that is the principal difference Mrs. [623] saw in the information for your Aunt and for her daughter [951] some years ago.

No, the information is not a cure all, at all; far from it. But am sure it has helped in many hundreds of instances. We never know what may be given, am just sorry was not able to help here.

Do not send more Miss [2958], unless you wish to. But hope you may find something of interest in the data as may be sent you from time to time for the next year, unless you had rather it not be sent.

B1. 11/9/42 Niece, Miss [2958]‘s letter:

AIR MAIL - SPECIAL DELIVERY

Dear Mr. Cayce:

My aunt, [2847] (married name Mrs. [2847]) is critically ill and desires your PHYSICAL READING.

She is in Room 9, Ward 9, Third Floor, Dayton, Ohio, Military Hospital.

Mrs. [2847] has been ill for the past several months but her condition became so serious about six weeks ago that we took her to the hospital for X-ray and examination. Since then she has been losing weight steadily until now there is very little left.

Mrs. [623] of Dayton, Ohio, suggested to Mrs. [2847] that she contact you. She and Mrs. [623] are very good friends and Mrs. [623] has much faith in you, and, of course, is much concerned about Mrs. [2847].

I understand that the charge for your work and literature is twenty dollars. If you will forward your report and invoice to me I will see that a check is sent you.

As the condition of Mrs. [2487] is very grave I shall appreciate your wiring me collect or sending me a special delivery letter at the address below giving me the hour and date you will contact Mrs. [2847] so that I in turn can so advise her.

Your good help is most earnestly needed.
