This Psychic Beading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 29th day of May, 1926, in accordance with request made by self - Mr. [2855].

Born March 6, 1876, London, England. Time of Reading 5:40 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City.

1. GC: You will give the relation of this entity and the Universe, and the Universal Forces, giving the conditions that are as personalities, latent and exhibited, in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth’s plane, giving time, place, and the name, and that in that life which built or retarded the development for the entity, giving the abilities of the present entity and that to which it may attain, and how.

2. EC: Yes, we have the entity and the relations with the Universal Forces, as are latent and exhibited in the present earth’s plane. We find there are many varied conditions as have [influenced] and do influence the entity in the present earth’s plane. From the sojourns in the earth we shall find that influence that has brought many of these varied conditions and circumstances under which the entity in the present earth’s plane has labored and has exhibited those various potentialities as are so dominant in the life of the entity.

3. In coming into the earth’s plane in the present, we find the entity coming decidedly under that condition of the cusps, and in the sign Pisces, with the influence then as is seen in Uranus, Jupiter, Venus, Mercury, and influences from Mars and Saturn; adverse influences in Moon and Neptune. Hence we have from these many varied conditions, some very exceptional qualities, some very ennobling conditions in the life. The Moon being in that adverse condition, we find the entity has found that there are apparently periods in which everything (as would be termed in earthly parlance) is lucky that the entity touches; other periods wherein everything “goes to pot” that the entity has anything to do with. These are especially as pertaining to investments, and if the entity were to take the time he will find these are those of any conditions that have to do with pleasure seeking in the evenings. These have been failures. The influences rather then are that, at certain periods when Moon is at variance with the various elements that enter from the astrological viewpoint into the life, the entity tends toward investments of that nature. Will’s force and more of that ENNOBLING, rather than that of obtaining dollars for the pound of flesh, or irrespective of the result that is to come to other hands.

4. In the conditions then as we find in this entity, we find one who is big hearted, broad minded. One given to, at periods, become very philanthropic in the natural trend. Oftentimes we find this even to that point where some term such in the life as of the nature of being too much so, even to the detriment of the own entity; yet there are others that term certain conditions, or trade or traffic in which the entity enters, as one who requires that every dollar shall show two in return.

5. In the conditions as are seen as regarding that which the entity should be warned of, and of those conditions in which the entity may, by taking thought, benefit self, physically, mentally, financially, the ruling planet, or ruling influence in the very present earth’s plane, is in that position of wherein that Jupiter and Uranus, being in that of the ruling forces or ruling conditions which enter into the elements that bring the sources, as it were, of thought of the entity, are in ascendancy, or in rule during the present year, and in the next eighteen months after October, present year. There will come then, during this period, that greatest opportunity for the entity to MAKE money that the entity has had (save one, when advantage was taken of the influence as in Mars), that the entity will have in the present earth’s plane. As to whether these will redound to the good depends, then, upon how and to what use this is made, and how acquired, for many conditions will come about, especially from October to December of this present year, wherein there will be offered those conditions wherein the entity will be able to make large quantities of money - LARGE quantities of money. The entity will do well to see that the resources, however, of these, and from which these moneys would come, is not at the expense of those of his fellow man, of whom there may be in after time that required of the entity as of the blood of his brother crying from the ground.

6. In the conditions as we see, the entity is one who has many opportunities, many incentives, for doing good. Doing good being given as this: Service for service’s sake to fellow man, that the joys, the joys of the knowledge of the source of good may be magnified in the world, see? Not good that it may be well spoken of; not good as eye service; not good that fame or monuments or tablets may be made, but good that thy brother, thy kinsman, thine people, may know that God IS, and those who seek Him may haply find Him.

7. As to that which enters into the likes, dislikes, the aspirations, these are as many and as varied as the experiences to which this entity has been heir in the present earth’s plane. Many of these, as will be seen, come from the experience, as it were, of the inmost self, and well that the entity tie that self with and to the divine that is within, that the reflection of the Maker and Creator, and Ruler, and the Force which ever guides, may be magnified in the earth.

In the conditions as enter into that which has to do with the health, the sociability, the conditions that go to make up that which many term worth while of earth’s conditions, he has plenty and sufficient of these, and well that all such be taken, as it were (in common parlance), with a grain of salt, and well measured as to that to which the entity aspires, for where the treasure is there the heart lies, where the eagles are gathered together there the carcass may be also. Let not as that be the attitude of the entity. Rather that as of - the light of the world is in SERVICE. “May I, [2855], give that that will show men MY conception of MY God,” for the forces as be are a portion of the entity, and the use of same is required at THY hand.

9. As to appearances in the earth’s plane:

10. In the one before this we find when the peoples were settling in the far western shores from the present sojourn. The entity then was among those who sought refuge from the persecutions in the isles, and the entity then a leader after the establishment of the colonies, or foundation in this new land to this people. The entity assisted and gained much in that sojourn, for the religion of the fathers given to the peoples thereabout and kept, as it were, on the lintels and door posts.* The entity then was in the name Durhn, and the urge as is seen in the present that necessity of each family or home tie being set with a head or a ruler, or a last course or source of question.

11. In the one before this we find in the promised land to those peoples who came up from Ur, and the entity was among those who served that leader, ruler or patriarch, and gave much and required much at the hand of those about the entity in that day. Then the name was Shouel, and the urge as is seen - the desire of travel, and the urge of profit in traffic, for this, as is seen, is the greater influence in the present experience in earth’s sojourn.

12. In the one before this we find in that country now known as the Egyptian country. The entity then was among those when

the division came Ra-Ta period], as the division between church and state (as would be termed in present parlance), or the rule and the ones serving in the religious rites. The entity then was among those laborers in the stone of that region, assisting in the building of many of those that may be seen in the present day, in statue and in the laying of those passages that connect the various underway passage in tombs. Hence the urge as is seen - ever the desire to explore or seek knowledge of that nature as pertains to records in stone, in hieroglyphics, or in the various forms and manners of preserving records; yet, as is seen, weighed with the conditions as bring the urge at present - “I don’t see any money in it.”

13. In the one before this we find among those peoples to whom the messengers came when there were the gatherings together of those peoples in defense of the peoples against the beasts of the field, the fowls of the air. The entity was in that place wherein this meeting or this gathering came. Then the name was, as would now be termed, O D D. In that the entity GAINED, for to give was the entity’s urge and desire, and the assistance lent brought much to the entity in every way and manner. The present urge is seen in that of the entity’s seeking that which is serious in nature, good in reaction, bettered in its manifesting, and of curious conditions to the present peoples.

14. As to that which the entity may attain in the present earth’s plane:

15. As is seen, there is to come in the present year those opportunities for earthly advancement in position and in moneys. Use those ARIGHT! That opportunity is as set, through will’s force already manifested through the earth’s sojourns, and the present sojourn. Then use those aright that come to the entity. Aright? Meaning in that way and manner as has been outlined, for “Unto him that hath shall be given; [from] him that hath not shall be taken even that which he SEEMETH to have.”

My dear Mr. Cayce:-

Your reading of May 31st, 1926, received and ever since you have got me going on a new tack. I am now intensely interested in myself.

Your reading tells me that the great chance of my whole life lies in the next 18 months, that I will have wonderful opportunities. Can you then blame me for this altertness, when all my life I have struggled and strived and have even known poverty and hunger? Your information about what I am, does not attract my consideration so much, excepting that I can admire your horoscopic intelligence. It is what you tell me WILL happen that occupies my attention.

On page 3 of my reading [Par. 5], I don’t quite understand this phrase (save one, when advantage was taken of the influence as in Mars). Then you go on to say that many conditions in the latter part of this year will come about wherein there will be offered the greatest opportunity to make LARGE quantities of money and you also compliment me on knowing the value of money and the necessity of acquiring it, only if it is clean and gotten through channels that has done no harm to my fellow man.

Now, what I would really like to know, is, if it is possible for you to steer me; if I am about to enter on the most spectacular part of my life. Can you then tell me how I will recognize opportunities that will present themselves, enabling me to see with clear vision, so that I may grasp these golden opportunities that will so soon confront me, or does it make little difference whether I have clear vision or not.

My dear Mr. [2855]:

I have yours of the 10th, and am certainly glad to know that you found the reading at least interesting, and for you to come to the consciousness of how intensely interesting your own self is is making great headway. You know, this is a truth, Mr. [2855], we all must become vitally interested in our individual selves, without being the least bit selfish. Or, in other words, we must arrive to that point of how vital we, as individuals, are in the lives of others, and of how much responsibility of the WORLD rests on our own shoulders. Now, if we gain the full concept of this condition, there is nothing for us to be stuck up about, nor nothing for us to be selfish over. The wonderful part of your reading, as I can see it, is that your abilities to do good for the greatest number of people lies just ahead of you, and through this same means there comes not only added responsibility in duty to others, but also the responsibility of using a great amount of this world’s goods to the betterment of the conditions that you, as an individual, may see needs correcting in the affairs of the world. Now, along this line only should you be the least anxious. That is, as is given (on page 3 of your reading), DO NOT TAKE ADVANTAGE OF ANYONE whom you may be able to influence in a business way and manner in the next eighteen months! For, should you do so, you may expect it to rebound to your own detriment.

Yes, if I understand this aright, you are about to enter upon the most spectacular part of your life, should one choose to put it in those words. That is, you have become conscious of your worth to the world and of their ability to pay for same in coin of your own realm. As to how you will recognize this when it comes up, will be just along that very line, as to how far reaching the commodities, the conditions, the purposes, of the undertaking that is presented. You may be very sure that these will be presented. Of course, just the day and hour, I can’t tell you, but you will recognize them as the conditions arise. Your vision in respect to same will be cleared more and more as time goes on, and as thought is given to such conditions.
