GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with further suggestions for corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes.
-
As we find, in the main general conditions are very good.
-
Of course, the shock, the strains produced through portions of the body will just require time and precautions, and - most of all - good, hot, long baths, with a thorough rubdown afterward with any good oil, - as the peanut oil, olive oil or cocoa butter; these, especially, across the hips and along the small of the back.
-
Do that.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Anything specific for the aching and shooting pain in left lumbar-sacral? (A) As indicated. Hot water, and the rub after same.
-
(Q) Should I take the bracing exercise, with the feet against the wall, even when the hemorrhoid condition is present, or wait until it clears each time? [See 288-51, Par. 12-A.] (A) Take the bending exercise if the hemorrhoid condition is present; stretching arms high above the head, rising on toes and touching the floor. Feet far apart, though, - not trying to hold them close together.
-
(Q) Should I resume weekly osteopathic treatments? (A) If so desired; not necessary, but if so desired it won’t hurt.
-
(Q) What changes are taking place in my glandular system? (A) None as we find.
-
(Q) Should I take Calcios for benefit of my teeth, as dentist [Dr. T. L. Brooks, Jr.] suggested? If so, what quantity and how often? (A) Depends upon what the diet is to be through those particular periods.
As we find, as a stimuli to such activity, about twice or three times a week is sufficient quantity - and that that would cover a whole wheat wafer, not a Premium cracker but a whole wheat wafer.
-
(Q) Why do I tire so easily? How may I gain more strength and endurance? (A) Most of this is in the mind. But the regular activities, and quit worrying!
-
(Q) Should I continue using camphor on the brown patch and red bump on my nose? [As given in 288-51, Par. 9-A.] (A) Nothing better.
-
(Q) Should I resume Serutan or Olive Oil, or what consistent aid to the eliminations would be best? (A) Either or both of these are very good, if they are alternated.
-
(Q) Any further advice? (A) Keep the mental attitude in those constructive influences of thought, and towards groups and individuals, and there will be much change in the general feeling of the body.
-
We are through for the present.

Reports & Follow-up
R1. 1/27/43 She requested 288-54, saying: “When I asked [Par.] 10-Q in 288-53, I was concerned about recent scant menstruation, soreness of breasts, etc. After the [Par.] 12-A telling me the condition was mostly mental and not to worry, I figured it was all due to my letdown feeling due to my closest friends being married and having children, because I had begun to feel sorry for myself and to think that soon I would be going through the menopause and be unable to bear children. (My mother stopped menstruating at 39 yrs.)
“Two days ago I had a spell of acute indigestion, after which I noticed that my glands were terribly swollen, including my neck. Knowing you were terribly busy, I called in Dr. W. L. Taylor (M.D.), who told me I had the mumps. Since he didn’t give me anything I would feel much better to get advice from the readings. Besides which, I have not menstruated since October and I would like to have your reading before asking him about this.”

B1. 10/15/41 She obtained Ck. Physical 288-51 answering questions about her general condition.
B2. 10/10/42 She submitted questions, saying: “Last night around seven o’clock (10/9/42) in crossing the street I was knocked down by a car as it turned the corner. Apparently it did not hit me but just my large bundle I was carrying. I was taken to the hospital and examined, given some medicine for my nerves (crying jag), but no injury was found other than a slightly sprained foot and a bruise down the left hip from the fall.”
