This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 13th day of February, 1943, in accordance with request made by the mother - Mrs. [2936], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Dr. [2772].

Time of Reading 3:40 to 3:55 P. M. Eastern War Time. …, N.Y.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2905].

3. As we find, there are disturbing conditions that prevent the normal functioning; in the organs as well as in the attitude produced in the entity’s reactions.

4. The basis or cause we find in the effects of disturbances and tendencies which have existed in the body; the results, then, of high temperature and the type of cold or congestion that has caused deflection in nerve energies to the optics and their general effect upon the body-forces.

5. These as we find may be materially aided if there would be applied, under the direction of an osteopathic eye, ear and nose specialist, the manipulative forces in combination at the proper times - with the electrical energies. Real help may be brought in these directions.

6. This would require rather the periods of adjustment, with particular reference to those areas in the upper dorsal, through the cervical, and especially in the 2nd cervical centers as related to the ganglia branching to either side - or through the head there - to the exterior portion of the eyes.

7. About every third treatment give the low electrical vibrations that are discharged in the body as heat to the body, see? Not the sinusoidal, not the violet ray, but the deeper treatment. But this should be low and not high frequency, see?

8. Do these, and we will aid in correcting these disturbances.

9. As these corrections are made, also we will find this will aid the body in better development through the activities of the associations of other organs to those hindrances and deficiencies that have been brought on and that are being magnified in the repressions in the sympathetic nervous system.

10. These releases will aid in better development of the body, in better assimilation, and in better activity throughout the system.

13. (Q) Who would you suggest to apply the electrical treatments? (A) Any of those who are electro-therapists. Coulter, as we find, would give the first of the treatments. Then there may be the change to one in the closer environs, if so desired.

14. (Q) Where should the electrical treatment be applied? On the eyes? (A) Not on the eyes! These are body-vibrations, you see? They are heats and plates to the body; they go to those centers needed for the body-vibration; one to the body, the other to the soles of the feet, or one to the hands and the other to the soles of the feet, see? [Diathermy?]

15. (Q) Why am I anemic and how can I overcome this condition? (A) It is because of the repressions, the lack of proper assimilations through the body, and these general nerve tensions upon the body; through not only the repressions in the sympathetic nerves but in the general forces also of the body. These keep the vitality low.

16. (Q) Does this also cause me to be physically sluggish? (A) This is a natural result of the general debilitation. The whole of these conditions will be improved by the series of corrections. These treatments should be given for about six weeks at a time, and then a rest period of two to three weeks, and then another period of six weeks treatment, see?

17. (Q) Why is it that pills do not have the desired effect upon me? (A) Lack of sufficient quantity of those energies through the body-forces to act upon the body. But with the releasing of those centers indicated, we will find all of these will change; especially after there has been one or two of the heat treatments of the low electrical forces through the body.

18. (Q) Why do I get so many colds and how can I prevent them? (A) These are from the same causes, - the low vitality.

19. (Q) Any other suggestions? (A) Do these things, if we would bring the better forces for this body.

20. We are through for the present.
