GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions that may be asked:
-
EC: Yes, we have the body, [2935].
-
As we find, there are disturbing conditions. These have been made acute by those pressures produced in the cerebrospinal system; especially in the area of the lumbar axis.
-
This lack of proper coagulation, or the thinning of the walls of the blood vessels, of courses of same specifically in the superficial circulation, shows the lack of the correct - or the balanced - chemical forces that go to make up the fibrin in the veins and arteries themselves. Thus there is produced that which allows the blood, through any pressure, to easily pass through the walls of same; which is indicated in the superficial circulation in those blotches, spots, bruises or the like.
-
We find that the better manner of reaching such would be through the diet AND a gentle oil rub daily, and the use of the Infra-Red light at least two or three times each week.
-
The Infra-Red should be used for thirty minutes to an hour, especially over the ribs and the lumbar area; or so arranged as to give the reflection of same over those portions of the body.
-
The daily oil rub should be made with Peanut Oil, just what the body will absorb. Before this is applied we would use wet heat, preferably, over the cerebrospinal area; that is bathe with very warm water or else apply towels wrung out of hot water, to thoroughly relax the body. The excess amount of the oil, after the massage, may be removed with a warm soda water.
-
In the diet, give excess quantities of liver, liver extract, liver puddings and the like. All of these would be beneficial.
-
Bony pieces of fowl, well cooked, and portions of such eaten - or crushed in the mouth and the juice swallowed, - these, added to the effect created by the properties in the rub, and the effect of the Infra-Red upon the structural portions of the body, will assist in alleviating these disturbances.
-
To be sure, these indicated items are not all the diet that the body would take. These are given merely as an outline. Plenty of citrus fruit juices of all characters, the yolk of eggs, and such things as whole grain cereals, - these also should be included.
-
Fish are beneficial, as well as the leafy vegetables (rather than the tuberous or bulbular vegetables) - though not too much roughage.
-
Do these, as we find, for the better conditions of this body of [2935].
-
Ready for questions.
-
We are through for the present.

Reports
Reports & Follow-up
R1. 3/18/43 Letter from Dr. Fenton Taylor of the Neurological Hospital, New York City (227 East 57th St., N.Y.C.):
“Excuse my delay in writing about Mrs. [2935]‘s (Case 2935-1 Physical) reading. It was remarkably accurate.
“She has had a queer case of ‘purpura’ since Sept. 1942. As you know this condition is more a symptom accompanying all kinds of diseases rather than a disease in itself. The only thing that we could find as a cause was her blood count, which showed only 20,000 blood platelets instead of the normal 200 to 300,000.
“We knew that she had the usual old age blood vessel changes in her cerebral arteries, but outside of her bowels being costive with its accompanying auto-intoxication there was not much to talk about…
“She has had all the treatment recommended in your reading except the peanut oil massages and infra-red light, both of which will be started when she returns home.
“I appreciate your courtesy in this matter and if there is any further fact about her that you wish for your records will be glad to furnish them.”
R2. 4/5/43 Letter from the patient herself: “Since writing you last, I have taken several massages with the peanut oil and find them very beneficial, and I am feeling better as a result. I am trying to fit my diet to your suggestions. The spots are about gone; the mottled appearance is still present but I hope this, too, will gradually leave.
“The nurse who gives me the massage is very interested in your work.”
Background
Background
B1. 2/28/43 Request from daughter: “While visiting us last summer my mother had a slight fall-trip-on the bottom step coming out of a house. It didn’t really hurt her but scared us and Dr. T. wouldn’t let her go out of the house next day. She is very quick in her movements and a tremendous walker, very active, etc. Suddenly strange black and blue spots began to appear on her arms and legs and at first Dr. T. thought it might be bruises just because she moves about so rapidly. But it wasn’t that, as they kept appearing for no reason at all, and altho there is no discomfort of any kind connected with them, they are very annoying. It is really a slight hemorrhaging under the skin but it might lead to a more serious one. So we had a blood count taken and found she was a bit anemic, so after she went back home she finally had two blood transfusions in a week. She expected to be entirely cured but the spots would return, then disappear, and no one can seem to find out the cause
- except you - I am sure you can! Mother and Dr. T. are completely ready to follow any instructions that may come thru you and are anxious to have the reading. We are quite alarmed about this condition, as it is serious with anyone her age to have radical changes in the blood circulation.”
B2. 3/1/43 Daughter [1833]‘s letter: “Mother has had another recurrence of the spots recently and is very much perturbed over it. Please let me know the earliest date she can have the Reading, which we now regard as an emergency.”
