GC: You will have before you the body and the enquiring mind of EC, present in this room, and the dream [See 294-93, Par. B3], this body had on the date which I will give you. You will give the interpretation and lesson to be gained from this, as I read same to you, and you will answer any question I might ask you regarding same.
-
EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, EC. This we have had before.
-
The dreams come to the body in the ways and manners as have been outlined, and are the experiences of the subconscious correlated with the various conditions to be used in the ways and manners as have been outlined for the body.
-
For, as seen in the experience through which the body-conscious mind passes with the correlation of those conditions which were visioned through the subconscious force (that is, of the third treasure, concerning the location of which the entity has given information): the warning of how that the body was injured in attempting to cut brush about same is the warning that care and attention is to be given in the search, that no undue conditions may occur, either through accident on the part of any individual concerned with same or from outsiders who might try to interpret the movements of individuals seeking such treasure. [See [996] series.]
-
But, as seen in the removal of stone and the sinking of someone associated with same into the opening, that though all else might fail, that this treasure would be located by those who do seek to locate same. And as the head of the woman represents the treasure, it is necessary that such (that woman) be associated in the seeking out of such, for this would bring much to many individuals - but must be followed aright. [See 294-93, Par. R3.]
-
We are through with this reading.
Reports
Reports & Follow-up
R1. 2/26/27 Edgar Cayce’s related dreams, not interpreted:
Night of Friday, Feb. 25, or morning of Saturday, Feb. 26, 1927.
I dreamed there was a cyclone in New York - it was on the 6th of April. It twisted so many of the buildings that, somehow, it cut off all of the electricity, and a great many of the buildings and the electric wires underground got connected, and it electrocuted people by the millions! When they were trying to get them all out, it was nearly a month before they were able to even estimate the number of dead.
I dreamed I met Lois Butler [of Selma, Ala.], on the street. I felt I was mighty glad to see her, but it was getting dark. She said she was lost, and I knew I was. I asked her about Rog and the children. She said she was trying to run away, but she had decided she was going back. We went up a stairway - I thought it was to a studio I had, and just as we got in the door and turned on the lights we heard someone coming. She seemed frightened, and was going to hide in a big box. She tried to get in but fell and I had to pick her up in my arms.
Morning of March 2, 1927. Dream regarding a speech I was to make before a crowd of people. I was looking around at the people present, and wondering what I was going to say. I noticed different relations and acquaintances and friends enter. A colored man came in on a gray horse, and I got up and worked some kind of trick on the horse and man, pressing them into a certain shape, and then I was explaining to those present just how I did this.
R2. 3/9/27 EC obtained dream interpretation rdg. 294-94.
R3. Report by GD, 10/3/50: EC told GC and me that the woman’s face looked like mine; that he felt the dream meant that I should go on the treasure hunt trips with them to take notes. While on the treasure hunting trips he would give readings to [2671], [943], on [996], with [2671], Jr. and the guides present, etc., but afterwards they’d all disagree as to directions outlined in the reading. There was no one along who could take shorthand notes of the reading and interpret directions correctly.

B2. 2/11/27 See 3976-4 & 2/15/27 see 3976-5 mentioning EC as a member of a world organization group.
B3. The dream, interpreted in 294-93: Morning of Saturday, 2/19/27. I dreamed we were hunting for the treasure, and cutting away through the undergrowth. Turning up a very large stone, I cut a deep gash in the side of my leg. It bled very badly, but I seemed to know that there had to be two more stones turned up before I could find it, and I found a very large ugly looking stone, and as we turned it up someone fell into the hole that was made. It seemed it was Mr. [2671], Jr. All were very much worried because he had disappeared and didn’t know what to do, but he pushed up another stone, which we recognized as the treasure box but it looked like a woman’s head and face. Everybody tried to kiss it.
