Kahn.

Time of Reading 4:10 to 4:15 P. M. Eastern War Time. …, New York.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with further suggestions for corrective measures; advising if the thyroid should be given by injection, prescription or tablet.

2. EC: Yes - this we have had before.

3. In some respects outward conditions show improvements. In some conditions there appear aggravations.

4. Yet, if those applications are kept as outlined, we will see the gradual improvement of this body.

5. As to the manners of administering the preventative, - this we would take in the prescription form, to prevent too great an activity of the glands that produce the heaviness to the body.

6. But in the main keep in those ways suggested, in CONSISTENT manner. And do keep those attitudes about the body, if there would be brought the best for the body.

7. Ready for questions.

8. (Q) Is the Appliance being used right? (A) If it hadn’t been we would have told you so!

R1. 7/43 [3211]‘s letter: ”…In the meantime we know of the wonderful work you are doing for Mr. [3339] and Mrs. […]‘s boy; and upon reading your book TIR, a similar case presents itself and we decided to follow out some of the local applications. You therefore know how important it is for us to know just what to do…”

R2. 8/31/43 Father submitted questions:

1. Is it satisfactory to give him the new medicine called Nucleice Acid in a powder form, in addition to the thyroid pills which you approved?
2. What about his schooling? Should we wait about this, or start him in public school, or should we try and find a private school for him?
3. What causes him to be frightened when near the family dog? Should we dispose of the dog, or try to overcome his fear?
4. Is any change in treatments suggested or should they be continued the same?
5. Any suggestions regarding the eyes, which cross occasionally? Is there any weakness? What suggestions about this? Should we see an eye doctor?
6. Is it indicated that he will “snap out of himself” or will it be a long drawn out procedure?
7. Is there any suggestion regarding the more nervous condition recently? Please advise as to handling the child, such as guiding and teaching and helping him overcome his nervousness?
8. (If a school is not suggested) Should the nurse teach him at home?
9. Is it good for him to be around children?
10. Should he be vaccinated now or wait until Spring?
11. Should we continue to mash his food, or just cut it?
12. Any other advice for the parents in aiding this body?

R3. 8/31/43 Father’s letter: “Buddy - our boy’s nickname - had his tonsils removed on the decrease of the moon, and seems to be coming along nicely. The doctor who performed the operation has taken an interest in the boy and has asked us to give him a medicine called Nucleice Acid in a powder form, in addition to the thyroid pills which you approved. So, we wish to ask about that in the Reading.”

R4. 9/19/43 “I want you to know that our boy has been placed entirely in your hands. We realize how busy you are and all the demands that are being made upon you. As you already know the school session has already started and we are not doing anything about it until we hear from you.”

R5. 10/2/43 Mother’s letter: “We appreciate your attention greatly…am looking forward to getting the Ck. Rdg. We are persistent and most consistent with the Rdgs. and follow them religiously.”
