This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 18th day of April, 1943, in accordance with request made by the parents, Associate Members of the Association for Research and Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Mr. [1861].

[Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. Parents of [2967].]

Time of Reading State Hospital, 3:25 to 3:40 P. M. Eastern War Time. Marion, Va. (Physical Suggestion)

  1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2967].

  2. Here we find an incoordination between the impulses of the sensory forces and those reactions to the central nervous system. This has been much worse than in the present.

  3. But we find that material aid may be gained in the present, if advantage is taken of those conditions that show a better reaction to the impulse of controlling the reactions in the body.

  4. While it will require close observance, as well as some very definite applications, we find that there should be a continued improvement for this body - if there are those elements added to assist in creating, through the assimilations, the fibrin in the nerve impulses being depleted through those reactions which have long existed.

  5. It is necessary that the body be kept in the open activity, rather than being too closely confined - when the weather and the outside conditions permit. For, these will make for reactions that will improve this lack of impulse and physical reaction, as well as the coordination between cerebrospinal and sympathetic forces.

  6. Then, with care, with prayer, - these would be the applications as we would suggest for this body:

  7. Three times each week, for thirty minutes at the time (and have specific days for these applications), we would attach the Wet Cell Appliance carrying vibratorially the Chloride of Gold Solution - in the proportions of one grain Chloride of Gold to each ounce of distilled water.

  8. The charging solution for this Appliance would be strong; or these amounts, to the gallon and a half of rain or distilled water:

Copper Sulphate…2 pounds, Sulfuric Acid C.P…1 3/4 ounces, Zinc…3 drams.

No Willow Charcoal in this charge.

  1. The attachments should be made as follows:

  2. The large nickel plate, through which the Gold Solution would pass vibratorially, should be attached to the umbilical plexus. The small copper plate should be attached at the 9th dorsal center.

  3. Keep plates clean, and disconnect when not in use. Connect about twenty minutes before the Appliance is to be used, but do not allow plates to come together.

  4. Make the attachments to the body for thirty minutes at each time, three times a week - but use the same periods each week, see?

  5. Each time following the use of the Appliance, we would massage the body with an equal combination of Witchhazel and Peanut Oil. These do not mix, but shake them well together before beginning the massage. These will be helpful for the body, in coordinating the cerebrospinal centers after each administration of the vibratory influences of the Gold Solution to the body.

  6. In the massage, stimulate especially those areas in the 4th lumbar, 9th dorsal - where the attachment of the appliance has been made, and the brachial center, and cervical area - and let there be prayer when such is given.

  7. Such a massage need not necessarily be done by a masseur or an osteopath, but by one who is in sympathy with the condition, and who may use the period to obtain the confidence of the body.

  8. Do these, and we will find help.

  9. Ready for questions.

  10. (Q) What was the original cause of this condition? (A) Lack of those elements in the system that cause the coordination between the areas about the lacteals.

  11. (Q) Could these treatments be followed while under the care of Dr. B. H. Bell, Missions Bells Inn, Black Mountain, N.C.? (A) These may be followed WELL there, and these combined with the attitudes of those about the body would be well.

  12. (Q) Is there some better place for him to be taken care of? (A) It is necessary, as indicated, that there be a companion. This, as we find, is as well as ANY place.

  13. (Q) Should he go directly from the State Hospital, Marion, Va., or come home for a visit first? (A) That should be governed by circumstances.

  14. (Q) Is there any suggestion regarding the obtaining of an attendant to take him to Black Mountain, or to bring him home? (A) The best would be for Bell to be in cooperation with the body, from the Hospital, and WHEREVER it would be - even for a short period, or to go to the Inn.

  15. (Q) Is there an attendant or companion we could find to take charge of the body, or to be with him? (A) As WE find, Bell will be the better companion for the body.

  16. (Q) Will it be possible for Dr. Bell to come to Marion and take him back with him to Black Mountain? (A) It will be possible.

  17. (Q) Would it be well for the mother to go with him? (A) Not alone, but with others be very well. Be MORE in keeping a month after there had been the use of these applications; thirty days of applying these treatments; we would find reactions that would be well - if these administrations are followed.

  18. We are through for the present.
