GC: You will have before you the body of [2981], present in this room. You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause - physical, mental, or karmic - for various disturbances in the body. Then you will answer the questions, as I ask them:
-
EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2981].
-
In giving an analysis of the physical, mental and karmic experiences of the body many things would be taken into consideration. But approaching purely from the pathological or physical conditions of the body, there are minor disturbances. These are not so much karmic as purely material cause and effect, though cause and effect to many are the same as karmic. Yet, karmic is that brought over, while cause and effect may exist in the one material experience only. Here we find as suggested, disturbances which, if allowed to remain, may become later very disturbing factors, but should be easily relieved in the present and with systematic carrying out of such suggestions would eliminate the disturbances from the system, or the causes being eliminated, the effects in the physical body are eradicated.
-
These, as we find, have primarily to do with a catarrhal condition, which from the effects of the flu, caused a disturbance in the soft tissue of face, head, and neck, and some of these conditions cause disturbances through the assimilating forces of the body. Severe headaches are produced at times, with this combination of disturbances when there are certain foods or pressures, or when sudden changes have been wrought in the body either physical or mental.
-
These, as we find, with the sympathetic relationships are the disturbances with this body:
-
The blood supply is very good. There are those disturbances in the lymph flow through the head, antrum, soft tissue about the ear, the face, and the nasal passages, that at times are carried into the circulation and at others carried into the drosses of the body, or through the alimentary canal. This gives or supplies the basis for a disturbance in the lymph pockets of the digestive area. Hence, there may be periods when, just at the pit of the stomach, or at the lower portion of the rib, there is not so much of a pain as a fulness and an awareness of disease, or of being not at ease. Then at times a little nausea occurs, but the headaches come in periods.
-
In the nerve forces of the body, we find that the lymph nerve ends that radiate from the second and third dorsal, that supply impulses for circulation through the soft tissue of the face and throat, are in those states or conditions where a tautness exists or a form of circular lesion.
-
This causes then coldness in the area; that is at the third and fourth dorsal center, and where connected with the plexus in the limb that coordinates with the sympathetic circulation through the disturbing areas.
-
These may be relaxed and may be eliminated by radiation, or radial activity. Then there should be supplied a normal amount, and at periods an excess of quantity of impulses to eradicate through normal channels these poisons that accumulate, as a form of inflammation in the soft tissue and then recurrent effects of these in the blood and pressures upon the nerves may be entirely eliminated in time if the disturbances are taken in hand at present.
-
As to the functioning of the organs:
-
The heart’s activity is quick at times; not abnormal in pressure either low or high, but quite variable, which for the body and the temperament, the age, the general condition is excellent. However, the nerve forces as related to assimilation in the body might easily become unbalanced as indicated by the periods when variations in the diet change considerably the effect upon the activities in both nerve and blood supply through the digestive periods. These may be entirely eradicated from the system with the relieving of those tensions produced by the circular lesion, and by the maintaining in the body-chemistry of those vital forces that are purifiers for the body.
-
As to the rest of the body, in the effects of the general conditions throughout the body, all these portions should be brought near to normalcy in the functionings, as a balance is created and corrections are made in head and nasal passages; as related to the impulses through the secondary cardiac, to the liver and the digestive area.
-
First, then we would give that there should be had at least ten hydro-therapy treatments. Each of these should include first, a very mild cabinet sweat, just sufficient of the dry heat to produce a perspiration and then this cut off, adding the Fume Bath. Use a teaspoonful of Witch-hazel in the pint of boiling water to produce the fumes. After this type of bath there should be the hot and cold needle showers, and then the application of the very low magnetic reactions from the massage; including a very low electrical voltage passing from the manipulator to the body itself. This would be passed through the areas indicated; third and fourth dorsal, second and third cervical, the ninth dorsal and lumbar axis. This in the lumbar axis would be more to assist the body in balancing the strain on the body. These we would do.
-
Also we would take internally a few drops, once each day of Glyco-Thymoline in water, or take two or three drops in half a glass of water about twice a day. Do this about four or five days, then after that whenever there is a feeling of too much fulness at the cardiac portion of the stomach or the pit of the stomach.
-
These do, and keep normal as to the appetite, both in the physical and mental and in the spiritual aspect of the body; and we should bring near to normal forces for this body.
-
Ready for questions.
-
(Q) Violent cramps in short leg (amputated)? (A) This is from an unbalanced condition that oft exists in the nerve forces, giving way in the activity or exercise. With the corrections as indicated, the lumbar and dorsals would be portions of those areas where corrections would be made. While these will not be eliminated entirely, the treatments will eliminate most of this disturbance that comes to the body at times.
-
(Q) How can I toughen end of stump so as not to be so sensitive? (A) Use Camphorated Oil daily.
-
(Q) Why am I always so tired and how can I overcome it? (A) This comes from the toxic forces, that will be corrected in the manipulation as well as the properties to be taken; not as a curative but as an antiseptic through the body - the Glyco-Thymoline.
-
(Q) What should my weight be and how may I best maintain it? (A) Just keep the body in a well balanced condition and forget about the weight. This will take care of itself if the body is kept properly balanced.
-
(Q) Mental cause of strep infection of throat and pneumonia contracted last October? (A) This is not a mental cause, but pathological, or a physical result produced by the after-effects of flu that has formed a catarrhal disturbance in the throat and soft tissue of head and face. These have formed lesions that magnify the condition or cause the attempt - as nature - to by-pass or short circuit in such lesions forming. Thus these removed, with the aid of the massage and corrections, combined with the setting-up of activity through the superficial circulation will produce better conditions there.
-
(Q) What kind of exercise may I take? (A) Hand ball is one of the best for this body.
-
(Q) Would smoking be detrimental to me or beneficial? (A) This depends very much upon self. In moderation, smoking is not harmful; but to a body that holds such as being out of line with its best mental or spiritual unfoldment, do not smoke.
-
(Q) Why do I have such difficulty studying and retaining what I have studied, and how remedy it? (A) Remedy these conditions in the head and throat and you will remedy the condition of retentiveness in the flow of reflexes from the brain to the visualization or the sympathetic and the sensory activities.
-
(Q) What kind of diet? Include meat? Mild alcohol? (A) A regular or well-balanced diet is well for this body. Keep plenty of foods that carry iodine, both as to vegetables and as to sea foods. These, the sea foods we would have at least twice each week. This is best for this body as well as for most bodies.
-
(Q) Give care of teeth so I will have less decaying? (A) Use as a massage for the gums and teeth an equal combination of common table salt and baking soda; about once a month, add one drop only of chlorine to a pint of water and rinse the mouth with this. Do not swallow it, but rinse the mouth and then brush the teeth. This will preserve them, even aid in filling cavities.
-
(Q) Should the diet include meat? (A) Sea food is a form of meat, but keep away from any hog meat or any beef.
-
(Q) Mild alcohol? (A) Not very good for this body, nor any carbonated drinks.
In the mental attitude as to those things karmic and those things mental:
Keep the body-mind, keep the mind, in creative and constructive influences.
The best of this is found in:
Don’t condemn others, or don’t belittle self. See the best in everything. Be more, or more often, the optimist than the pessimist. Know that all the power there is of body, of mind, of soul, lies within self, and God is not a respecter of persons. And if self keeps attuned to Him, who may surpass thee?

Reports
Reports & Follow-up
R1. Remarks after reading: “Described so perfectly how I feel - mentioned things I had forgotten to ask about, as they only appear now and then. Wonderful - uncanny!”
R2. 9/3/43 [2981]‘s letter:
Dear Mr. Cayce:
What with your getting to be so popular I can say “I knowed him when.” I’m only sorry we did not know you sooner.
I am thoroughly enjoying my rounds up at Reilly’s - Bill Eigen [Eigen, Wm. H., Ph.T.] is swell as are all the boys. George worked on me today. He’s worked on you too. The treatments really are helping me. Felt the best I have for a long time.
Was awfully glad to meet Dave Kahn up there. I SURELY DO WANT TO KNOW HIM better. He’s an old friend of a member of our firm whom I know quite well.
I will either be in my car in the parking lot at the plant, (…, N.J. Lic No. …) or in the Labratory there. I would also like to know if and how often I should have treatments after the series is over.
As for the camera lense & shutter. It is overhauled. Due to the crush of work this will take six or eight weeks. the lense was too narrow angle for 5”x7” pack. 4x5 would be the largest. In this event you said you would like a 122 roll film job and believe I have this all fixed. The price will be $1,234,576,890.00
I haven’t yet developed the one picture I took of you and [2982] but you will get a copy when I do. How-sa-bout helping me getting her in hand? I don’t feel she takes proper care of herself and know she does not know the meaning of moderation.
I’m going to relax over a new Sears Roebuck catalog.
Don’t bother to answer me. I know you are so busy. Just a word in [2982]‘s letters are always deeply appreciated.
My very best regards to you all.
[2981]
By the way - the check is in my letter.

R4. 8/18/70 His wife requested a copy of 2981-2 and 2981-3 be sent to Dr. Wm. A. McGarey, of A.R.E. Clinic, Ltd., in Phoenix, Arizona. Mr. [2981] has gone there for treatment for a prostate condition for which doctors have only advised surgery. His wife thinks the original readings may be of help. She remarked that he was told by EC in the rdg. no alcohol. While he had abstained from hard liquors to any extent, he had through the years become addicted to frequent beers throughout a working day, and often sherry. He now realizes that these things were bad for him, and is hoping that a reverting to the physiotherapy treatments will still be beneficial.
