This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Va. Beach, Va., this 22nd day of May, 1943, in accordance with request made by the self - [3011], new Associate Member of the Ass”n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by the book, THERE IS A RIVER.

Time of Reading 10:55 to 11:20 A. M. Eastern War Time. …, D.C. (Physical Suggestion)

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [3011] present in this room.

2. As we find, there are conditions that prevent the better physical functioning.

3. While in the present this is a tendency, if allowed to continue it will more and more destroy the ability of the body to control the voluntary muscular reactions, - especially as related to locomotion.

4. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, [3011] we are speaking of, present in this room:

5. In the blood supplies we find there has come the incoordination of the blood supplying to the re-energizing of the ganglia and the muscular centers through the body; especially as related to those areas where sympathetic - or vegetative nerve forces and the central nerve system coordinate.

6. Those disturbed in the present are the lumbar areas and through the brachial centers.

7. The assimilating has come to be depleted, gradually, as carried on through activity of the glands through the alimentary canal, as well as that controlled by the activity of the digestion through the action of the secretions from the liver, the spleen, the pancreas and the gall duct.

8. Thus there is a lack of the ability of this assimilation to produce the vital forces as represented by certain elements, metals, in the body.

9. These are the effects and the reactions produced in the locomotory areas in the present.

10. The nerve forces in the body, as indicated - there is the lack of the ability of that assimilated to assist in reproducing for those ganglia controlling the lumbar axis and the sciatic, and the brachial plexus and those to the upper parts of the body. These are the areas affected in that incoordination, producing the inability of the body to control the muscular and nerve flexes. Thus some flexes become voluntary when they should be controlled by the plexus from the central nervous system - or brain.

11. This is NOT the effect of drain through the arterial circulation or any of that nature, but that in the assimilating system - as indicated.

12. As to the effects upon the organs of the body:

13. Under the general stress, vitality has been used up - in this body - without sufficient elements of certain characters and natures to be supplied the body. And thus a form of deterioration, though - as we find - there may be supplied elements to the body that will aid in re-establishing better flexes, better reaction, bettered conditions in the assimilating forces of the body.

14. We find that these may be added to the body better through vibratory reaction to the body force itself.

16. In the radioclast - or the building of that activity of the low electrical forces - carry the vibrations of Gold and Silver to the body. There should be twice the Gold to one of the Silver, if there will be the correct proportions maintained for the better supplying - or re-supplying - of that element, and elements, needed in the body. [Radioclast OR Wet Cell Appliance?]

17. Prepare the Gold in the proportions of one grain of Chloride of Gold to one ounce of Distilled Water. It is not necessary to use more than some ten drops of the solution at a time in the radioclast. Do this two days in succession; then skip one day.

18. Then use in the radioclast a ten percent solution of the Silver Nitrate - a 10% solution. Here, only use three drops, see? Then skip a day, again.

19. Give then the Gold Solution again for the two days.

20. And so on. Keep this up, rotating the applications in this manner; two days of the Gold, skipping one day; one day of the Silver, skipping one day; then two of the Gold, and so on.

21. Each evening, when ready to retire, apply a Glyco-Thymoline pack - that is, two to three thicknesses of cotton cloth well saturated with the Glyco-Thymoline - over the lumbar axis AND over the brachial center; that is, the 2nd and 3rd dorsal, and in the 3rd and 4th lumbar centers.

22. After this has been applied for thirty minutes, then gently massage the areas - in a short circular motion throughout these areas.

23. These, as we find, will materially aid in correcting the conditions for this body, [3011].

24. Ready for questions.

25. (Q) Should I continue the Vinobel tablets I am now taking as a palliative? (A) As we find, if it is necessary to use ANY of such applications (and we would leave these off until this new treatment is given a thorough try), we would use the Hyocine tablets. These are preferable to that being taken.

26. (Q) What strength Hyocine? (A) Not too strong. But do not use these unless it becomes necessary, after the use of the applications suggested here, for at least five to six weeks.

27. (Q) What causes the heart symptoms, and can they be overcome? (A) There is too great a laxness in the circulation between heart, lungs, liver and kidneys. Drawing on this circulation causes that fullness which occurs in the heart area. This is an attempt to create a balance between the circulation of the sympathetic (or vegetative) and the central nervous system. This is nerve as well as blood supply.

But with the use of these metals, vibratorially given, there should be a change for the better.

28. (Q) Can anything be done for the vocal cords, to reduce the tone of voice? (A) All of this is a part of the sensory reaction from the area in the brachial center which controls the organs of the sensory system. And these will become normal; not so much as to changing of tone but in the regularity - or the ability to CONTROL will be the improvement.

29. (Q) Is it possible to regenerate my body so as to carry on my work for many years longer on this earth? (A) This is what we have been trying to give here! These are the elements that are more oft lacking where the mental and spiritual forces have been expended at the expense of the physical forces, as with this body.

This as indicated is for the purely physical.

As for the mental and spiritual, - keep the creative forces that are a part of the experience.

R1. 5/25/43 Wife [3248]‘s letter:

Our dear Mr. and Mrs. Cayce:

Doctor and I wish to tell you again that it was a real pleasure to visit with you both and with the darling boy also. It was a privilege to see the wonderful work you are doing for humanity’s benefit. Had we known just how to act, we should have ascertained a few more details without which we cannot proceed with exactitude. Therefore, Doctor wishes me to ask if when you are loaning your body some day soon, you could ascertain for us, that answers to the following questions:

1. Since it seems difficult to get the radionic treatment using the gold and silver substances as the Great One asked Doctor to do, would it be as effective to take them internally, and how often and in what doses? (You see, the Doctor using the radionic instrument does not know just how to introduce the substance, since he can tell the effect of any substance, but does not know how to introduce it into the system excepting by taking it internally.

2. Did the Great One intend to say “radioclast” or “radiograph?” We use the radioclast, and do not know what the radiograph is.

3. Should Doctor continue taking the concentrated natural vitaminerals food he has been using for the past months? How about diet?

4. Is Zone Therapy good for Doctor’s trouble? (That is the manipulating of and gently thumping certain vertebrae such as 7th cervical and 6th dorsal, - also the joints of the fingers) - also the lumbar region?

It will mean much to have these questions answered, for we want to proceed at once to carry out strictly his instructions.

R2. 5/28/43 EC wrote suggesting the Wet Cell Appliance if the Radioclast could not carry the ingredients vibratorially into the body.

R3. 6/3/43 Wife wrote: “We feel encouraged about Dr. He is better and God be praised for leading us to you dear ones.”

R4. 6/13/43 She wrote: “Dr. [3011] is not feeling the improvement that he did, and we are being very faithful. We shall continue and hope for further instruction as soon as it is our turn to receive it.”

R5. 6/26/43 Wife wrote: “Doctor feels better now.” [GD’s note: They referred others for rdgs.]

R6. 7/6/43 Wife [3248] wrote:

Dear Brother Cayce:

The report of the recent convention was most interesting, and we wish we could have been there to enjoy it.

In our Reading of May 22nd, in answer to question No. 2 we were told to try the procedures for five or six weeks, so we infer that we are expected to report our condition at the end of that period. Since the six weeks are now up we wish to report that while our general vitality has improved our nervous co-ordination has not. In fact there is a somewhat increased difficulty in typing, and also an increased tendency to stagger forward with tottering short steps in walking, altho by an effort of will he can take fairly normal steps. We have adhered quite strictly to the directions given in the Reading and had hoped for better results, altho we expect the process of nerve regeneration to be a rather long one.

There is a remedy called “Eskay’s Neuro-phosphates”, and another called “Syrup of Hypophosphites” which have been used for many years in the treatment of nervous disorders, and there is another remedy used as a general tonic for those in advancing years, called “Manola”, which has been used with good effect for many years. Do the Great Ones think it would help to use any of the above in addition to the gold and silver treatment prescribed? Or do They wish to change the treatment in any way?

R7. She requested 3248-1 for herself and 3011-2 for husband.

R8. 7/8/43 EC made appointments for both rdgs., saying:

“I don’t think the Gold-Silver would fail if Dr. [3011] is getting same vibratorially. If it doesn’t work in your machine [Radioclast], I can have the Wet Cell made for you that will carry it. If you do use any of the formulas you mentioned, I’d suggest the Manola, as that combination should work with what you have been doing.”

R9. 7/13/43 Wife [3248] verified their appointments, saying:

“Dr. [3011] and I are interested in the kind of tr. [Wet Cell] you would send for the gold and silver vibratory tr. May we know, and also the cost? This is the way we treat Dr. [3011] now: We put the ten drops of gold solution on a piece of cotton or paper handkerchief and place it next to the body in the liver region. Over this we place the metal disk attached to the Radioclast. We set the dials of the Radioclast at the gold numbers (12 at 17) and turn on the electricity. For silver we do the same, using three drops as directed in the rdg., and set the dials at silver (101), also using the vitality and congestion numbers, 49 & 50 respectively.

“There HAS been an increase in Dr. [3011]‘s general vitality. It was ten degrees below normal before (31) and now it is usually 41 or 42. However, the voice and the coordination have not seemed to improve as yet, and he does need them for the work he is so capable of doing in the Master’s service. He is needed on the public platform, I feel, especially now that people are so confused.”

R10. 9/1/43 Dr. [3011] submitted questions for Ck. Physical 3011-2.

R13. 9/23/43 He wrote thanking EC and submitted questions for his Mental-Spiritual Rdg. 3011-3.

R14. 12/26/43 Wife [3248] wrote a Xmas letter, ending it:

“Now, Dr. [3011] wishes me to ask you if it will be possible and convenient for you to send us the full Wet Cell outfit for him to use, as he did not seem to be benefitted radionically, and it would seem better to reach the nerves direct, as the rdg. about Wet Cell Appliances said. If not, could we buy some of it from you, and would you kindly send us the explicit directions. Dr. [3011] seems no better as to ability to walk normally and use his hands easily, so we want to do the right thing and not waste further time using inadequate instruments for his specific case.”

R15. 1/18/44 EC wrote Mrs. [3248]: “I am asking Mr. A. M. Godfrey to prepare the Wet Cell Appliance for the Doctor. I hope that he [Dr. [3011]] will get this soon and that it may bring results that are indicated possible in his case. I know it has been a help in many hundreds of other cases.”

R16. 1/18/44 EC wrote Mr. A. M. Godfrey: “Will you please make up a Wet Cell Appliance regular strength carrying Gold - 1 grain to 1 ounce of distilled water - for Dr. [3011], …, D.C. I would drop him a card to see if he wants you to send it c.o.d. or if he wants to pay for it. Thank you.”

R17. GD’s note: After EC’s death, when Mr. Godfrey turned back all his records to A.R.E. (as to who purchased Appliances, etc.) we did not receive any notation about Dr. [3011] having ordered one. So we do not know whether or not he ever got it and followed the gold treatment correctly.

R18. 2/14/46 Dr. [3011] died. We read a memorial to him published in a national metaphysical magazine.

R19. 10/2/47 His wife [3248] wrote in answer to HLC’s inquiry: “We disposed of our small printing press. So sorry you could not have been the buyer. All good wishes to you.”

R20. 4/23/55 Wife [3248]‘s letter, see under 3011-3 Reports, indicates that she is still interested in and working with physicians who use the “marvels of Radionics in diagnosis and treatment.”

B1. 4/11/43 He wrote: “Our treatments here [radionic instrument called the ‘Radioclast’ for all ordinary infections, but not mental or nervous disorders] are marvelous for all infections and diseases arising therefrom, but my case does not come under that class, so I am guided to you.”

B3. 5/22/43 When he and his wife came for the rdg. he said: “I have the primary symptoms of shaking palsy. Can anything be done to overcome this condition? (Nothing further medically can be done.) Should I continue the Vinobel tablets I am now taking as a palliative - made from belladonna root? What causes the heart symptoms and can they be overcome? I’ve been told that I have 20-30 more yrs. on this earth of active work, but unless I get regenerated I am already old - and unless I can get better I’d rather go on. Mr. Cayce is my last hope. Medically nothing is offered but palliatives. I’ve been told, or it has been suggested, that I had a slight stroke, but if so I know nothing of it.”
